Little story about Myrath, in about 2006 i was searching youtube for some unknow bands and ran across Myrath, to say i was blown away is not even close. I immediately contacted their manager Kevin Codfert, and had him send me two promo copies of their independent album Hope. Well at the time i was an A&R rep for an American record label "NIGHTMARE RECORDS" a major independent label and i sent one to the owner and CEO a week later he is signing them to a major US record deal. A few years later working with the guitar player's dad(my god rest his soul) and the promoter of ProgPower USA we were able to bring them to the US for the first time, they would appear two more times the last in 2022 as the main Headliner so these are my boys. You really should have listened to "Believer" or Dance. The singer's name is Zaher Zorgati, and he is my favorite male vocalist, and he really knows how to work a crowd
Myrath is a historic band. They are the first internationally successful metal band from Africa - being from Tunisia. The band name is Arabic for "legacy". When they first formed they were heavily influenced by Symphony X (one of the titans of US progressive metal) but mixed with elements of their oriental heritage. Their first two albums went by all but unnoticed, but the third album, "Tales of the sands" (2011), unexpectedly became a minor international hit. The next two albums, "Legacy" (2016) and "Shehili" (2019), dramatically increased Myrath's momentum especially in Europe, where they were also recognized for their absolutely spectacular liveshows, including such features as belly dancers and illusionists doing levitation tricks. Their career trajectory understandably hit a road bump during the pandemic, but as the world eased its restrictions, Myrath once more started taking the metal world by storm as a live act, and anticipation for their sixth studio album "Karma" has really been cooking for the better part of a year. Having access to an advance copy, I can say that this is a more accessible album than its predecessors, "Heroes" being a good example - the oriental flair and acrobatic musicality is much less pronounced, though the band's undeniable originality still shines through. The lyrics by lead singer Zaher Zorgati remain gripping: having battled depression he is determined to send a positive and encouraging message to everyone going through personal struggles and hardships. Protesting against the wrongs of the world is another specialty of his: for instance, "Dance" on the previous (and absolutely stunning) album "Shehili" was written as a tribute to a girl who was beheaded by Daesh, a.k.a. IS, for her love of dancing. In short, this is an extremely talented band with their biggest years, without any doubt, ahead of them.
I have seen Myrath live 2 times . First time as guest artists to Beast in Black i had never heard of them so i was taken by surprise they are really good live . Second time they where here in Gothenburg this time together with Kamelot . They are from north part of Africa ,from Tunisia . if you want to hear them with their musical heritage ,Arabic Influenses . i suggest 2 songs either Dance or Believer .
I like this song, but I think you should listen to their song "Believer" which have more folk influences from their culture, and in my opinion that gives them more originality to their sound
Hello there! I'm the author of the song and girls we do appreciate your reaction and feedback with the band! Thanks! PS: the video is our first attempt to depict our universe with AI and graphical artists together :)
Hello, Thank you very much for reacting to my request 🙏 This is an official AI made video. There aren't not any live videos for this song, but there is a video for the 2nd single of this new album "Karma", for the video they used some live footage. And there are many videos from their older albums that are amazing too. MYRATH is really one of my favorite bands. And don't worry about the pronunciation of my first name, the latest try by Lulu was very close to the right pronunciation 👍 All the best from France, I wish you a wonderful week-end, Gilles
That was a nice catch, Donna, of how the video looked the opening credits of an epic t.v. series...I like that idea...I came across this band on Spotify recently, I think it was suggested because I had been listening to bands like Nightwish and Eleine...
MIRATH IN ARGENTINA, AMAZING,THE SHOW WAS MADE IN A SMALL PLACE, BUT THEY SOUNDED AMAZING, THEY ARE VERY GOOD PEOPLE OFF THE STAGE, THE ORIENTAL ARRANGEMENTS AND THEIR PROGRESSIVE TOUCH IT LIQUIFIES OVER TIME, IT IS A SHAME, SINCE IT IDENTIFIES THEM GREETINGS FROM BUENOS AIRES

Ladies, try to listen Puerto-Rico's 'Puya' band, Uruguay's 'El Cuarteto De Nos', German 'Russkaja', japanese 'Dadaroma',
You should react to Epica ft. Floor Jansen - Sancta Terra (Retrospective live 2013) or Ayreon - The day that the world breaks down next.
