Thank you for sharing this! Very hard to believe someone would do this kind of thing, but, not very surprising in today’s day and age! Some people have no respect for the dead. Absolutely disgusting!
Even if it was a public park it is disrespectful. Litter goes in trash or recycling bins. Never ever on the ground. You are absolutely right my friend.
Since I was a little girl l loved to go to cemeteries to read the stones, wonder what their lives and families were like. How unique the stones are and the decorations and flowers their loved ones left. I started when.I was 7 -8 yes old . I was taught to respect them to thank every veteran for my freedom. And that the ground I walked was sacred. That's when I was young and at 71 yes old, it is the same, even more so. Oh and never to step on a grave, walk around it.
There really is a lack of respect shown with all the trash that was thrown on the ground. So many people feel a sense of entitlement thinking only of themselves what a display of selfish and reprehensible behavior.
The public respects nothing anymore. Now you know not to be accommodating. It's unfortunate that you have to be this way to keep people from destroying your property. So sorry this happened. But don't let it change your beautiful heart. 😢
That is so very upsetting to me. Yours or not it is disrespecting those that are at rest there. I hope you went to the township and voiced your sadness at 5his display of disrespect.
People have no respect anymore. It is really sad that we have let our morals down to a level that kids t hink they can do anything and there is nothing anyone can do.
I was taught - and I taught my kids - if it doesn't belong to you, don't touch it; if it doesn't belong to you don't dirty it or break it or climb on it. If my kids threw trash on the ground, they had to pick up their trash, plus trash from others until I felt the lesson was understood. There is no excuse for disrespecting anyone. Dead or alive, no excuse. I come from four generations of police officers, so throw trash on the ground and you will see them shift into the position police officers stand and you will hear, "You do know that's illegal. At the very least you get a ticket for littering." Always said calmly and matter-of-factly. Talk about picking up your trash quickly!
I'm so sorry people seem to becoming more and more disrespectful of sacred spaces such as a cemetery. It would be equally disrespectful anywhere except for a designated playground for children.
Plant more trees ...eventually they wont be able to see the fireworks. One of the most disgusting things I ever saw at a cemetery was on Memorial Day a few years ago. Some idiots were knocking golf balls around . How disrespectful disrespectful disrespectful.
You are NOT blowing anything out of proportion, to say the least. The sidewalk chalk is teaching kids that this is ok, next time it will be paint when they aren’t with their parents in a few years.. I say put gates up and lock it up at whatever time. Lots of cemeteries do close. I can believe it, but only because we are now accustomed to dealing (having to tolerate) with what is not acceptable, which this is clearly not.
I agree… unfortunately gates are out of the question for me… I live 10 miles from this cemetery… and I really don’t want to drive over there every morning and night to lock and unlock it lol
The cross near your truck is beautiful! Would like to see a pic of that! And to have kids play with sidewalk chalk in a cemetery is disrespectful along with the trash that was left behind. You are teaching your own children young to respect and preserve like you were taught. You have brought attention to the public (through your videos on youtube, facebook etc) that the cleaning/repairs/settling of the stones need funding. Other than the grass cutting its difficult to keep up with the other needs Cemetaries have. You volunteer your expertise to help the cemetery workers. Without your videos and videos of others like you, how else would anyone know there are needs beyond what the cemetery can provide. To disrespect the dead, as a playground is not acceptable and to disrespect the property of the cemetery owners is also disrespectful! I was taught to never walk on a grave, so how could they even consider having the grounds be used... The driveways in cemeteries only have so much room to get by (not a great traffic area) and why put wear and tear on property that does not belong to the community or being funded by it.
all you can do is take it with a grain of salt people dont care anymore i use to work at a hotel resort as the groundsman taking care of the pool decks parking lots inside and outside of the hotel i was always picking up peoples trash even though there were hundreds of trash can thru out the resort 4th of july is once a year hotel work is 5 days a week your lucky.

You took the words right out of my mouth
Sickos -Cemeteries are Holy Grounds 🕊🦋💯🤟💫
Even if it was a public park it is disrespectful. Litter goes in trash or recycling bins. Never ever on the ground. You are absolutely right my friend.
It's sad that people can't respect boundaries.
I agree
Very disrespectful to the tenants of that cemetery 😢😢😢

I never visited cemeteries until I was older… not sure why.
I feel so bad when I was very little I used to walk over graves and now I feel so terrible
It’s literally impossible to visit a cemetery without stepping on a grave… unless you never get out of the car

Fortunately it wasn’t my decision to allow it this year… I would have said no
@@Headstoneman me too.
Seriously, who raised these people??
Heathens!! Lol!
I totally agree, that is so disrespectful, come on people grow up you know damn well that's not right
People have no respect for anything anymore this is so sad . God bless you for picking up all the trash God sees it all
I would have police presence there next year!😡
The cemetery will not be open for firework viewing next year
That is mild I am shocked they did not drive and park all over the graves and completely destroy them!
There were two vehicles parked directly over graves.
That is so very upsetting to me. Yours or not it is disrespecting those that are at rest there. I hope you went to the township and voiced your sadness at 5his display of disrespect.
I did. Talk to my clerk and told him that it would not be happening next year… hopefully we come up with a good solution
People have no respect anymore. It is really sad that we have let our morals down to a level that kids t hink they can do anything and there is nothing anyone can do.
Exactly… like what kind of parents think it’s ok to let their kids play with sidewalk chalk in a cemetery
Never should be tolerated
It never will be that’s for sure
so dam disgusting, no respect for the dead, not even from council. they should clean it up!!!!
Hello from the rising sun Japan
Hello!
I would've never let my kids write on a grave or memorial of any kind, sidewalk chalk or not. It's about respect. You hate to see that.
That’s exactly how I feel about it
Horrible horrible human behavior and never to be tolerated ever 🤷♀️Sickos-Cemeteries are Sacred Ground 🕊💫🤟Tissue’s Please 🧐

Pack it in...pack it out....
That’s right!
Whom ever allowed it should have to answer for it
I think it was a lesson learned this year and it will not happen again
Not everyone cares like you do. I’m with you on this. Disrespectful at the very least.
Plant more trees ...eventually they wont be able to see the fireworks. One of the most disgusting things I ever saw at a cemetery was on Memorial Day a few years ago. Some idiots were knocking golf balls around . How disrespectful disrespectful disrespectful.
Terrible
Disrespect - I'll never understand. (You know what I'm talking about.)
I certainly do
Beyond disrespectful! You need to use the authority of your position to do something about this bullshit.
That’s exactly what I plan to do
Very disrespectful. Just as disrespectful as dog owners allowed their male dogs to urinate on tombstones and not picking up their messes.

@@HappierHeadstones right… I mean they pay me mileage… but I don’t want to have to donit
