Also known as the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus. This is a speculative idea of what the first temple might have looked like in 509 BC before it was destroyed by fire in 83 BC. Domitian completed the fourth version of the temple in 82 AD that endured mostly intact until it was exploited as a stone quarry for private gain in the 16th century.

This temple, Jupiter Capitolinus, symbolized the "sovereignty and immortality of Roman civilization and remains as an iconic power symbol. The God Jupiter is associated with growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles Jupiter also governs long distance and foreign travel, big business and wealth, higher education, religion, and law.

A recent hypnotic investigation has thrown up the following intriguing hypothesis: that the high priest of Jupiter in Rome was not human! For an account, see the Hypno-Archaeologist by Philip Ditchfield.

I know this is an old post, but the speech against Catiline was given in the Temple of Jupiter Stator

Which of the series of temples that stood upon the Capitoline is this supposed to be?
How speculative is this reconstruction? How much is based upon actual archeological evidence?
Unless more supportive documentation is provided with these videos we must simply regard them as fanciful modern digital art marred by a distracting digital time insert.

NOOOOOOO. This is the earliest, Etruscan version of the temple NOT what the imperial Rome built in marble, gold and granite. this largely wooden structure was too primitive and rough to matter much. after it burned down 4 thousand times over, the Romans turned it into the pride and joy of architecture that stood way up there on the tallest Roman hill--the Capitoline. We ACTUALLY HAVE "pictures" of the grand temple, made of marble and gold, from their depiction on coins an stone carving wall decorations!
this is sooo silly. what is it: a painted wooden temple built by the Polynesians in Tongo or the Samoas? Just add a statue of a Moai in front, and you could place this in the Easter Island.
