Dude, I'm going through this problem right now! I'm gonna try it after I make my service call. I'll take the new battery seeing others having the same issue recur. I think the car and pack have an issue allowing 100% charge, given what I saw on my end. Ultimately, I'll be able to test what I've found. But I need to wait for the weekend because of scheduling.
in the end tesla ended up replacing the battery but it will get you by for awhile. it lasted about a month or so. it made it with no errors all the way until the tesla appointment with no further issues
@@MitEclipse91, I'm gonna try your technique this weekend. I made my service request with Tesla, today. They've already remotely checked my Model Y and scheduled me for Nov 29th. I'll try to remember to report back on both points. I appreciate your video and would like to add feedback for the value it'll help others.
@@MitEclipse91, this technique did work for me! I did it 3 days ago and the error codes have been cleared since. Important! I made my appointment with Tesla first, I messaged them after I was scheduled about getting a loaner and they scanned my car remotely. Also, that plug was kind of confusing, the grey part that you unclip needs to be pushed down to unseat the plug from the mount. All thanks to op, you saved me a lot of time and hassle with this video!! I currently don't have a lot of time or patience for hassle, your upload here is greatly appreciated.
I have 95,000 miles on my 2021 M3P and just had my battery replaced for the 3rd time and am on vacation in Las Vegas and this code just came up. Hopefully this works to get me to limp back to the Central Valley in CA. Thanks for the video
@@MitEclipse91 I was able to make it back home the 415 miles home no problem. I really appreciate it. About 1000 miles after I pulled the plug in LV and reset it, it happened again (this last Friday). It was a lot less happy this time lol. I have an appt in Gilroy tomorrow, to have it looked at. It wouldn’t let me charge again and after I updated the cars software, it let me charge again. I didn’t have enough range to make it to Gilroy from home, but for some reason the update let it charge again. You really saved my butt and I really can’t thank you enough!
@MitEclipse91 The closest SC to me was booked for 3 weeks, but there's several of them surrounding Toronto. Had to go a little out of my way to have it looked at sooner. I'm told HV battery has an internal issue. They're going to replace it. Gave me a loaner in the meantime.
Brought it to Tesla anyways as the service appointments are so far out. Never had a issue, 6 days after that the error came back and now it’ll need a HV battery
@@maxfoster23 still hasn’t came back.. almost 3 weeks out… its kinnnnddaaaa sorta lookin like your don’t know what you’re talking about. But we’ll see how this plays out.
@@oggyoggy1299 I still haven’t had a single problem. From what I’ve read this is teslas fix for it. They take it in and look at it and unplug the plug and replug it in and say you’re good to go. This guy above is just trying to scare people into not doing it. The car still works 1000 percent the way it should

Thank you
This worked for me.
Thanks for sharing James! I didn't know you can pull the rear seats out like that.
@@TeslaOutage yup super super easy.
Then you probably don’t know about the emergency doors release either!
@@RayNLA I actually do!
I would keep bringing it back to the Tesla shop till it’s fixed. Get a new car from the lemon law. Your going to void your warranty
Ok
Just had the same issue on a 2021 M3 SR+ with only 27k kilometers. Scheduled an appointment for Monday, let's see what they say. 😔
@@somana.2487 try the way I said but if not luckily your appointment is quick ours takes 1.5 months to get in

I just got my battery replaced for this issue. If it’s a standard range get the LFP battery
Did you get the LFP battery?
Not all teslas have the foam piece. The cars made during the pandemic might not have it.
Probably only reset the error code temporarily until the issue occurs again.
