I am glad you found a solution to your problem. I thought Stellarvue was selling scopes with Chinese components that they had checked (and possibly assembled) and made sure they were working well; hence the higher price tag. How can they miss this??
I understood all that, as in if i owned one i would do what you said, yet you get comments on how to get one of there rings, I bang my head against the wall, at people that dont listen my friend, that is my biggest fix in the world, trying to get people to listen :)

call stellarvue and tell them to send you the ring they forgot to put in the box with the scope when you bought it.
