Gabrielle, I just ran into your channel and I subscribed for a few reasons. 1. You work is truly amazing. 2. you walk us through what and why you are doing something in the processes . 3. The tone of you voice is so pleasant to listen to, 4. You really make sense of what you are doing in the process . I love your work, and enjoy you very much. Will continue watching you. 😊
Welcome aboard! ❤️🤗 Thank you so much for choosing to be here!! I appreciate your kind words and I want you to know they brought a big smile to my face. It means a lot to me that you made the time to connect with me like this ☺️
Wow! Wow! Absolutely exquisite! Right down my alley! Your vibe is so chill, yet determined. Love your style of creating, your photos of Norway, your positivity and your concern for the environment. New subscriber!
Awe ❤☺ You just brought a huge smile and happy tears to my eyes!@@joywilliamsnl Thank you so much for your kindness and thank you for choosing to spend time with me 💕
Oh my… Before I read your comment I was thinking that I shouldn’t have left such a serious comment. I was thinking it was perhaps too long!! - Your comment helped me realize that we are all people from the same place and deep down in our hearts we understand each other. ➖ So THANKYOU for that. I’ll leave my comment. It’s long, but ….. there’s nothing wrong with it. BFN :) Blessings 🕊🕊🕊
Hi Gabrielle, I am happy and grateful for your art videos and for your time you take to make these, they are very inspirational to me and others, you are human and you need to also have fun and time out from all of it, more so for gathering strength and breathing space to keep going, its all about balance in life, for me if you didn’t respond for days, weeks even it would be perfectly ok, thank you again for another lovely video
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kindness, compassion and support ❤️🤗 I appreciate it more than you could know! And I really appreciate your presence here 💕
The colors you used arent usually my favorite colors but when you did this piece you made my heart sing. Its so very pretty. I love your work and your channel. Always take the time you need for yourself. I have learned with age to listen to my body and you should too. Im glad you had a good vacation. Have a great week.😊
Reading this made me smile big! Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️🤗 ''Listen to your body'' is one of my mantras! It usually speaks to me loud and clear ☺️ I hope you have a wonderful week too!
Thank you for sharing Gabrielle. I am sure that everyone who watching your channel loves what you create and none would mind if you have not commented back within 24 hours. I am very grateful to see each painting and how it takes me on a journey. You already done so much, you create time for sharing your ideas, your talent, your process, create videos, edit, voice over, and much more. So please do not feel that you have to answer withing that time frame. It is life and sometimes other things do take priority. You are human.
❤️💕❤️ I know there is kindness in this world and every week, when I read my comments, I get reminded of this even more! Thank you for your kind and supportive words 🥲 It means so much to me!!! Lots of love being sent your way my friend ❤️🤗
I just found your channel at a transitional point in my painting. Born and raised in Wisconsin I loved the outdoors and all that nature has to offer. We ended up,in New Orleans where the art shows feature alligators, French quarter stuff, fish, magnolias etc. Your videos have greatly inspired me not to quit. But to return to what I love and to paint regardless of comments from others. Thank you so much
Yes!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I love this so much!! Let’s paint for ourselves first and foremost! Because when we do what we love, we are the best version of ourselves 🥰 It looks like you have so much to inspire you all around you ❤️ happy creating and thank you for making the time to share your kindness with me 🤗
It looks like a beautiful map! What an inspiration you are! Ohhhh Norway. So gorgeous. I hope it did your soul good and that you are able to get some rest in the midst of moving. Sending healing vibes your way. Thank you for sharing your lovely art with us. ♥
It reminded me of a map too! ☺️ Thank you so much for your caring and kind words! I think Norway helped in more than one way: we are still jet lagged and getting to bed earlier. But, it would be nice to wake up a little later than 3 am 😂 We are getting lots done though! Healing vibes received 🙏✨ Thank you 💕
Thank you so much Wilma ❤️🤗 I really saw it come to life when the black ink hit the paper too! What a wonderful feeling when a painting comes together in this way. ☺️
💥 I watched this tutorial months ago. - Of course I found it curiously interesting again. It’s not the usual paintings or swatching etc. Yours is a different type of painting. ( IN A VERY GOOD WAY!! ) ✔️It has inspired me to get out my paints today. ▪️So THANK YOU for that! And OMGosh…. Norway looks absolutely stunning‼️ My eyes felt the excitement of such beautiful terrain. ▪️I was born in Kelowna. BC. ( Close to you, I think. ) So I LOVE MOUNTAINS! Norway felt like home. Perhaps if I was younger, I’d research their political status and make a big move overseas. 😻 I can imagine a cozy home on a mountaintop, made of solid rock & slate… with big Timbers running through it, etc. 😃 Anyways dear, I’m so happy that you had an extraordinary experience in Norway. - And before I go I must add that it’s refreshing to hear a person who is truly grateful for their life‼️ There’s not one person who doesn’t feel the heaviness of the times we live in now. 🤷🏻♂️ ➖ REGARDLESS… being grateful (as you are) results by default, in a life of joy….and our soul feels it. Blessings 🕊🫶🙏🏼 ps. Please forgive me for the lengthy comment.
There is so much to love in this comment!! 🤗❤️ Thank you for making the time to connect and share your kind words with me! I'm glad you enjoyed this process so much that you felt compelled to watch it again and paint! 🎨 I was born in New Brunswick, so on the other end of Canada. Our mountains are the oldest in the country and so they are more worn than the beautiful Rockies, but they are beautiful nonetheless. Norway is such a spectacular country! The fjords, the mountains, the people, etc... Really, it felt like a home away from home for us too and we hope to return someday. 💕 You are right that we are living in a ''heavy'' period of time. And though we can only do our own little part to make it all better, an attitude of gratitude does go a long way. ☺️ I appreciate your kindness and grateful heart too ❤️ Blessings to you as well ☮️💙🤗
Hi Gabrielle 💕 what a treat it is to see your beautiful smiling face two weeks in a row! 😊 I was feeling so bad because I didn't comment last week. By the time I remembered, I decided to just wait until this week, so your words are timely. 😉 How exciting you got to go to Norway!! Your pictures are fantastic; you went to some amazingly gorgeous places! What a blessing it is to be able to share something like that with family members! I hope you didn't miss Garou too much. I liked your painting very much this week, sometimes creating more simple pieces is exactly what we need. Of course I loved the gold! 😊🌟 Be kind to yourself this week my friend, and I'll continue to pray that you achieve a lot on your to do list, and that the stress doesn't become overwhelming for you. Hugs to you my friend, have a good week! 🤗💕
Hi Lori ❤️🤗 I always love to hear from you and at the same time I hope you know there are no expectations on my part. I think the best friendships and relationships are like that in many ways. There’s an understanding and mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s life. And whenever we do come into contact it is such a gift no matter how long it has been ☺️ We had such a wonderful vacation! For the first time in many weeks, I was able to relax into sleep almost every night and wouldn’t you know it, the pain in my upper back and neck also went away. Now it’s even clearer how much stress affects my wellbeing. I missed Garou so much!!! My saving grace was knowing there was a kind and lovely person staying with him at our house. ❤️ Don’t you just wish we could take them with us everywhere we go?! Thank you for your kind words and support my friend 💕 I feel so blessed! Sending you lots of love and great big virtual hugs 🤗
Thank you so much Gabrielle, I really really enjoyed watching you create that stunningly beautiful and unique painting. And thank you to for sharing your wonderful holiday photos. I’m not worried about you answering my comments, I leave a comment below because I really really appreciate your time and effort you put into bringing us all such wonderful content to love❤❤❤❤ and enjoy too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Mags, you are so kind and generous with your time and words! 💕🤗 Thank you so much for making the time to comment and watch my videos! It really means a lot ❤️ xoxo
Dear Gabrielle. Thank you for sharing your heart as always. I agree with you 10000 %. Just keep doing what you do. Loved the painting and video for this week. I enjoy so much watching you paint. So relaxing. You are so talented. I can tell of your gentle soul. I appreciate you very much. Sending you a cyber hug my dear friend. Enjoy !
Hi Rosario ❤️🤗 Your words are always like a ray of sunshine hitting my face 🥰 Thank you for your kind, compassionate and supportive words. I'm so glad you enjoyed this video and I appreciate the cyber hugs 🤗 I'm sending a whole bunch your way too 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for taking the time to give us yet another beautiful creation. You built up colour and texture so gently and made me want to try using salt between layers instead of just once. You put so much thought into your videos. It is a pleasure to learn from you and to be able to connect by commenting, but I hope you don’t feel pressure to reply. You have a lot going on! I am glad that you had such a restorative time in Norway, the photos were stunning. Many years ago I had a birthday gift of a one day trip to Tromsø to see the Northern Lights and have an icy ride on a dog sled and I loved every moment! Have a lovely week 😊 💫 B x
Hi Bernice ❤️🤗 Thank you once again for making me smile and feel so loved and supported! I honestly never feel pressure from any of you to reply quickly - the pressure comes from me because I value connecting with you all so much. And at the same time, I'm learning to cut myself some slack. ☺️ There really is only so much I can do in a day and my health and well being also matter to me a great deal. What an amazing gift that was!!! I'm so happy you had this experience!! 🥰 We were hoping to see the Northern Lights too, but the aurora forecast and the weather forecast asked us to focus on other activities. We hope we will get to go back to do some more hiking and who knows, maybe then 🤞🙏✨ Sending you lots of love and great big hugs 💕🤗
Thanks, Gabrielle - this is a beautiful piece. Watercolor is my truest love and I’m so inspired by your gifts. And, grateful to you for sharing them with us. Just to say, I never feel that I’m owed an explanation or an immediate response. Period. ♥️
Same here. When I write a comment there is no expectation as I already feel that by sharing and making the actual content they have given their time. I won't lie. I do like when I do get a like and comment back as it feels I am connecting personally to the this person yet totally agree no expectations of an anwer back.
Another great piece of work it’s beautiful. Don’t worry about replying within a certain amount of time look after yourself. I’m glad you had such a good holiday. Good luck with your move I know how stressful it this can be, thank you for taking the time to keep posting during this time
I hope you didn't have rude people complain? Who am I kidding, there will always be rude people. Ignore them. I am really loving your art and videos. ❤
Such is life right? 😉 Like you say it’s best to ignore the things we cannot control and focus on how we prefer to interact with others ❤️ Thank you for your kindness and support 🤗💕
I personally never mind if YT creators don't reply to any messages. We are here for the content you create and share. Would never want the stress or pressure of feeling you need to respond to messages to cause you a YT burnout.
Hi from Canada, You are such a delightful, kind, bubbly person and you explain the painting process so well. I have a group of friends who come to my home and we paint together (sometimes craft), chat, and eat delicious food that everyone contributes. So nice to have some peaceful, creative time together.
Comments like this one bring me so much joy!! 🥰 I’m so happy you’re getting together with friends (and me ☺️) to paint!! Thank you for your kind words and thank you all so much for making room not only to create artwork together but also this loving and joyful energy you all put out in the world ❤️💕❤️ Lots of love and great big virtual love is being sent to all of you in 🇨🇦💕🤗
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed my video and the pictures of my trip to Norway. It really is a stunning place. Thank you for making the time to connect with me. ❤️☺️
Glad you went on vacation. And I am patient I always enjoy your paintings and understand that you cannot get back to everyone right away. You're busy with your awesome art. Love this thank you and will you be announcing when you'll be moving? Love you 😊❤
Thank you for making the time to join me on my creative journey and to view my travel log ☺️ I appreciate your kind words of support more than you could know! 💕 Our move is starting to happen already, but will hopefully officially be completed in two weeks from now 😳 (and I remind myself to breathe 😂) One day at a time is a good modo for me right now 😁 Love you too Linda! 🤗❤️
Hello Maria ❤️ Thank you so much for your kind words! It's lovely to connect with you and I appreciate that you have made the time to watch my video and connect with me ☺️
The fall like colours in this weeks art are gorgeous and I agree the black does bring out the colours. Your images from your trip look amazing and I would love to visit Norway and beyond. The mountains make magnificent subjects. I can see why you would feel refreshed after your vacation.
Thank you so much Julie ❤️🤗 I hope you get to go to Norway too! The landscape there is magically beautiful 💕 I think you'd feel very inspired by it too!
Ah South Africa!!! I will visit you someday ❤️ Isn't it fun that we are so far from each other and yet still get to connect?! 🥰 Thank you so much for your kindness and for making the time to reach out 🤗
Thank you so much Wendy!! ❤️🤗 I love your channel too and look forward to watching more of your videos! Thank you for sharing your self and your wonderful energy with us as well ✨💕
You are so beautiful and pleasantly beautiful 🧡♥️💚🧡♥️💚I like the father in love such a unique touch.I can hear part of a hymn when I look at this work of art Peace like a River…..water rolling over the stones👏👏👏👏👏You are amazing with with color♥️🧡💚💙Hope you move is fairly easy.
Ah Nancy!! ❤️🤗 You have a way with words and your caring nature hugs my soul each and every time! Thank you so much for being you!! The move has started (ever so slowly, but it has started). I believe it is off to a good start! Now if we could just stop waking up at 3 am 😂 Sending you lots of love and great big hugs 💕🤗
The algorithm just introduced you to me, and wow! In the last few months, I've gotten into neurographic art, which has been amazing to tap into my intuition. Now, I can add these beautiful glazed layers and play with salt. Thanks so much for sharing your process and techniques. Also, your Norway trip looks stunning, and I've only heard good things about it 😊
Yay!!! It's not often I appreciate the algorithm as much as your comment has made me appreciate it ☺️❤️ I'm so happy you made the time to watch and to also connect with me. Thank you so much for your kindness! 💕
Thank you so much Tammie ❤️ Isn't it fun how abstract art can be viewed from different angles and still look beautiful. I like that aspect of it as well ☺️
Thank you Gabrielle as always.Lovely to see you enjoying Norway with loved ones. I am grateful to now live in Northern Sweden and I feel so at one with nature here….such a privilege. As always your creativity was fabulous…so enjoyed seeing the image develop and finally emerge. You prompt me to be patient and listen to my inner self and go with the flow. ❤❤
Thank you so much Adele ❤️🤗 We initially wanted to travel all of Scandinavia and then realized it was much bigger than two weeks of travel would allow to really appreciate each country. I can only imagine how beautiful Sweden is and hope I will someday have a chance to breath in its lovely air as well. I appreciate you making the time to connect with me 💕
@@gabrielleannacormierart I know this reply will not find you immediately so don’t stress about your reply. Just to say you are always welcome to visit us in Northern Sweden. We previously lived in the UK 66 million people in an area half the size of Sweden which hosts 10 million people. Sweden is vast, and the air is so pure, as is the water. Different landscape to Norway, more akin to British Columbia. Perhaps one day we can paint together? ❤️🇸🇪
Glad you were able to get away for a little bit. Sometimes these unexpected blessings come in times when we need them most! I am glad you had this time to reconnect with what is really important! And if you don't respond to every comment, most of us can handle it - because we understand life. During a burnout I had to learn the hard way that time away IS time AWAY. We can not be 'on' all the time - we are heirs of the kingdom, not the slaves.... Great picture! Love it! You got a new sub. Blessings from Switzerland
Thank you so much for your words of wisdom, kindness and compassion ❤️🤗 I appreciate you choosing to connect with me in this way and I also appreciate that you have chosen to spend time "with" me. My vacation certainly proved the value of making time to get away even when life is calling on me to stay. It really did me a world of good! Thank you also for subscribing! 🥰
This painting is geological landscape in a form of animal connectivity. A snail with a elephant head shaped shell on its back yet from a different angle it is a land mark seen from an aerospace. What a clever abstract landscape painting. Wonderful
Aww!!!! I love this so much!! ❤️ Thank you for making the time to share this with me 🤗 When I was looking at it in the end, it was reminding me of an upside down Africa or South America 😁 I always enjoy reading what you are seeing when you look at it from your perspective.
Yes definitely see Africa and America merging into one. It may be a hidden message me finding you to me as I originally come from Africa though settled here in UK. How amazing.
I love this!! I have been to the UK but I have not had the opportunity to go to Africa yet though it is still very much a dream for me to go there ❤🤗 We are one and all connected so I am not surprised that we could communicate with each other in this way 💕@@CHARUL814
@@gabrielleannacormierart definitely if chance permits go to East Africa. Especially the national parks like Ngorongoto craters, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, its a nature galore with wild animals openly roaming and absolutely beautiful heaven on earth experience. I am sure you will love it.
Oh wow!! Thank you so much for the recommendations! ❤Even just reading your description, I could imagine how beautiful it would be. I'm sure I would love it too ☺@@CHARUL814

I noticed your use of gold paint - which really highlights details and adds some 'glamour and mystery' to the paintings. Love it! I looked for that Kremer pigment online. They are based in Germany and they sell their 'gold' paints and other watercolors online (Tubes, half and full pans, open stock and curated Palettes). The prices are certainly in the upper regions (yet still moderate considering what you get!!!), and together with shipping cost and the toll that is required for shipments to Switzerland the order reaches a price I am not willing to pay. So I went hunting for a substitute and I think I found something surprisingly adequate. Schmincke sells a waterbased gold pigment (Iriodin) in 35 (!) ml tubes for about 11.- $ (which is such a fair price for such a big tube). It is not explicitly advertised for use in aquarels, but it works great. The gold pigments sit close together when not diluted down too much (creamy consistency) and really give a nice, tight golden reflection. My squeezed out sample dried out and I was able to rewet the paint without any problem! The name on the tube reads "aqua Linoldruck linoprint' and the name of the pigment is 'Iriodin'. I found it by chance in my local Mom and Pop office supplies store, of all places... But I assume one can buy it online as well. I am happy and thought I share it with your viewers who may also be eager to find a nice gold paint that is not exorbitantly expensive and still made by a reputable company.
Thank you so much for making the time to share this! ❤️ Yes, though Kremer's paints are lovely, they are quite expensive and they are also not available everywhere. It is always nice to have tried and tested products that make good substitutes shared in our community. I also like the CSY Art Gallery little paint sets. They are much less expensive than Kremer Pigments and they are very iridescent. Thank you again for making the time to share this with us! 🤗
Yay!!! I always get super excited when I know someone is going to give the techniques a try too! I hope you have tons of fun creating your piece! Thank you for your kind words and thank you for making the time to connect ❤️🤗
I just stumbled across your channel and im hooked, my art has always been very representational or botanical and im in a real rut, i also find watercolour painting extremely difficult but i would love to try this out
Hi Lynn ❤️🤗 I'm so happy you're here!! My video this week actually touches on the topic of inspiration so I can understand or at least imagine where you are coming from. Geologic art is so much fun and there is a ton out there to inspire us. I hope you will give this a try and that you will have fun in the process 🎨☺️ When I find myself in these ruts too, I find it good to remind myself to be gentle with myself and to just keep painting the simple things that bring me joy. Eventually, I find my way out and I hope you will too 🤗
I’m envious of your patience when it comes to laying those light layers of colour and letting it build. Your transitions look so smooth. I get impatient and want that bold pigment on the paper right away. I need to slow down and be more mindful.
I totally get what you're saying!! I too would love the bold colors to appear right away! And watercolors have been a great teacher to me in this respect - I usually like my work better when I slow the process down too. Thank you for your kind words and for making the time to connect ❤️🤗
Norway is so beautiful. We went on fjords cruise there and you are right every place you go to its absolutely amazingly breath taking. Thank you for sharing photos and your experience
@gabrielleannacormierart it definitely was amazing. It was very special as it was my very first journey after diagnosis of my condition which had left me paralysed for couple of years and I managed this holiday back again walking and being with family. Ever so grateful as nature and art has helped me through my recovery plus unconditional love and support from my friends families. There is always so much to be grateful about. Your art has supported me lots and I am forever grateful to you. Await to learn more from you and hope one day meet in person. Hopefully you will have a art retreat where I may be able to take part. ❤ lots of love to you and thank you.
Wow!!! What a touching and amazing story of recovery!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with me and most of all, thank you for sharing the very special person that you are with me ❤🤗 @@CHARUL814 I am open to all possibilities and yes, wouldn't it be lovely to connect at a live art retreat? What a beautiful dream 💕
Just absolutely mesmerizing!!! Thanks for such clear instruction on materials and process!!! Have you ever tried other salt, like chunky or flaked? I’m just curious about using various types of salt. Thanks!
Hello ☺️❤️ Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I use both fine grain table salt and coarse grain salt and they both produce different, interesting effects. When it comes to experimenting, your curiosity is key! The more you try new things, the more you will learn and grow as an artist. 🎨☺️
At what wet stage do you put down the salt. Mine never turns out this way. Just tiny dots usually. Yours is so lovely. I'm referring to the large splashes at the first stage that look like snowflakes. Love the gold technique using the large brush. Beautiful work! Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you so much Kathleen!! ❤️🤗 With respect to your question about the salt, I usually apply it as soon as I'm done applying the paint, while it is still damp. If there is too much water on the paper, the salt will clump up and be difficult to remove. If there is too little water, this is maybe when you will only get the tiny dots. I will also say that the paper seems to make a big difference. I was using Arches paper here and I usually have better results than when I use Canson paper for instance. This is a technique that is well worth experimenting with using scrap pieces of paper and applying the salt on the paper at different levels of dampness. I hope this helps! ☺️
Gabrielle, first your art is beautiful and your videos very helpful in my art journey. Secondly, what is the material you tape your paper to? Is it plexiglass? Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for reaching out ❤️☺️ I adhere my paper to a piece of plexiglass my husband and I cut out from an old shed window. Any rigid surface can work. I prefer to use surfaces I can lift and move around. If you'd like to use some plexiglass too, Amazon sells something comparable here amzn.to/40pMLMQ.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos, have tired of conventional painting and want to try something different m you have inspired me! Did you mention a colour called Magic green? I can’t quite catch what you said! If you did could you tell me what it is please? Thank you so much.
Hi Pam ❤️☺️ Thank you so much for your kind words and for making the time to connect with me! Normally, I do mention all the products I use to create a painting in my video description, but I believe in this case, I probably mentioned the magic green in question even though I did not use it to create this painting (or at least I don't remember using it... 😂). The color I refer to is formally called Tropical Sunrise Magic Green and it is an iridescent interference color produced by Kremer Pigments. I love it and use it in many of my paintings (and videos 😉). You can find it on their website (they sell in North America and Europe) at shop.kremerpigments.com/us/shop/ready-made-colors/506588-kremer-watercolor-colorstream-t10-03-tropical-sunrise.html. I am not sponsored by this company, but I do love their paints! If this is not available for your where you live, CSY Art Gallery does have an interference green that offers similar qualities (amzn.to/3Lp2vJb). I hope this helps!
i really enjoyed watching your u paint. your work is beautiful and inspiring. By the way my sur name is Cormier too. My father's family goes back 3 generations in St. John Newbrunswick. He was raised 1 of 7 in New Bedford Massachusetts. Any chance we're related some how?
Thank you Susan ❤️☺️ I was born in Moncton and raised in Cap-Pele. I don’t believe we are closely related, but there could certainly be a distant relation ☺️ There are so many Cormier’s in New Brunswick! Have any members of your family kept their French? Related or not, it’s always lovely to connect with a Cormier 💕 I hear the name once in a while in Maine ☺️
Thank you ☺️❤️ I tape my paper to a rigid (usually also movable) surface and make sure my painting is fully dry before removing the tape. This usually keeps it pretty flat. If there’s still a little bit of buckling, I use the technique suggested in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6AJLZ8hrJ_o/v-deo.htmlsi=6a6PdH9oeCeNxUGl. I hope this helps!
I'm not really sure which brush you are referring to, but I do get a lot of questions about my mop brush (from this set: amzn.to/4gGicdu) and my micro mini brushes (amzn.to/3TH0pcg). Please let me know if this answers your question or not ☺️
Thank you for your kindness ☺️❤️ I usually tape my paper onto a piece of plexiglass or another rigid surface like a clipboard. I prefer this to taping it down on my table because I can pick it up and moving it around if I need to.
Hi! Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I see that I missed mentioning it in my video description. It is similar to the large brush from this little set: amzn.to/45rs18d. Unfortunately, I cannot find it for sale on its own on Amazon, but you might be able to find it at Michaels if this is an option for you. I hope this helps!
I generally like the results I get with regular table salt the most. But, coarse grain salt can also create interesting effects. In this painting, I was using fine grain table salt. ☺️
I have not tried this technique using watercolors and/or acrylics on canvas and so I cannot say whether or not it will work. If you do try it using acrylic paints, I would suggest diluting your paint with a medium to make it less viscous. The best way to learn about anything is to experiment with your supplies to see how they will interact. Have fun ☺️

Thanks for what you do. You are so pleasant and giving. I also love the background music. Soothing.
You are so welcome! I am so happy you are enjoying my channel ☺️ Thank you for making the time to watch and connect with me ❤️
I just found your channel at a transitional point in my painting.
Because when we do what we love, we are the best version of ourselves 🥰 It looks like you have so much to inspire you all around you ❤️ happy creating and thank you for making the time to share your kindness with me 🤗
Best of luck to you! ❤🙏
Absolutely love this😍😍. It’s amazingly beautiful and you are so talented!! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us 🫶🏻🫶🏻🤗🤗

Gee...lovely! Thank you🥰 The photos are breathtaking!
Thank you so much Joyce ❤️🤗 I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Healing vibes received 🙏✨ Thank you 💕
Beautiful! Your vacation looks amazing. You absolutely should take whatever time you need for yourself. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for your kindness! ❤️🤗 It was a good vacation indeed and it was a gift to my body and soul ☺️
Wow! This was magical. You picked up your pen, and this painting came to life.
Thank you so much Wilma ❤️🤗 I really saw it come to life when the black ink hit the paper too! What a wonderful feeling when a painting comes together in this way. ☺️
Beautiful 👍
Thank you! 😊 I hope you're having a great day!
💥 I watched this tutorial months ago. - Of course I found it curiously interesting again. It’s not the usual paintings or swatching etc.
Yours is a different type of painting.
( IN A VERY GOOD WAY!! )
✔️It has inspired me to get out my paints today.
▪️So THANK YOU for that!
And OMGosh…. Norway looks absolutely stunning‼️
My eyes felt the excitement of such beautiful terrain.
▪️I was born in Kelowna. BC.
( Close to you, I think. )
So I LOVE MOUNTAINS!
Norway felt like home.
Perhaps if I was younger, I’d research their political status and make a big move overseas.
😻 I can imagine a cozy home on a mountaintop, made of solid rock & slate… with big Timbers running through it, etc. 😃
Anyways dear, I’m so happy that you had an extraordinary experience in Norway.
- And before I go I must add that it’s refreshing to hear a person who is truly grateful for their life‼️
There’s not one person who doesn’t feel the heaviness of the times we live in now. 🤷🏻♂️
➖ REGARDLESS… being grateful (as you are) results by default, in a life of joy….and our soul feels it.
Blessings 🕊🫶🙏🏼
ps. Please forgive me for the lengthy comment.
There is so much to love in this comment!! 🤗❤️ Thank you for making the time to connect and share your kind words with me! I'm glad you enjoyed this process so much that you felt compelled to watch it again and paint! 🎨
I was born in New Brunswick, so on the other end of Canada. Our mountains are the oldest in the country and so they are more worn than the beautiful Rockies, but they are beautiful nonetheless. Norway is such a spectacular country! The fjords, the mountains, the people, etc... Really, it felt like a home away from home for us too and we hope to return someday. 💕
You are right that we are living in a ''heavy'' period of time. And though we can only do our own little part to make it all better, an attitude of gratitude does go a long way. ☺️
I appreciate your kindness and grateful heart too ❤️ Blessings to you as well ☮️💙🤗
beautiful........you are such an inspirition
Thank you so much 💕
Hi Gabrielle 💕 what a treat it is to see your beautiful smiling face two weeks in a row!
And whenever we do come into contact it is such a gift no matter how long it has been ☺️
We had such a wonderful vacation!
Enjoy !

This is really lovely. I am impressed with the colors, texture, and outlines.
Thank you so much for your kindness ❤️
Thank you both so much for your kindness, support and grace ❤️🤗 It means more to me than you could know and it is received very much as a gift 💝
Another great piece of work it’s beautiful. Don’t worry about replying within a certain amount of time look after yourself. I’m glad you had such a good holiday. Good luck with your move I know how stressful it this can be, thank you for taking the time to keep posting during this time
Thank you so much on every account, Sue ❤️🤗 Your caring and supportive words are a gift and I feel blessed to receive them 💕
Just gorgeous. Love abstract like this. Yes the gold and black just makes it fabulous.
Thank you so much Janet ❤️🤗 I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I hope you didn't have rude people complain? Who am I kidding, there will always be rude people. Ignore them. I am really loving your art and videos. ❤

Hi from Canada, You are such a delightful, kind, bubbly person and you explain the painting process so well. I have a group of friends who come to my home and we paint together (sometimes craft), chat, and eat delicious food that everyone contributes. So nice to have some peaceful, creative time together.

We previously lived in the UK 66 million people in an area half the size of Sweden which hosts 10 million people. Sweden is vast, and the air is so pure, as is the water. Different landscape to Norway, more akin to British Columbia.

And if you don't respond to every comment, most of us can handle it - because we understand life. During a burnout I had to learn the hard way that time away IS time AWAY. This painting is geological landscape in a form of animal connectivity. A snail with a elephant head shaped shell on its back yet from a different angle it is a land mark seen from an aerospace. What a clever abstract landscape painting. Wonderful

Merci beaucoup Nicole!! ❤️🤗 J'ai adoré la créer!
I’m sooo very impressed with your talent! You inspire me!! I will try this technique tomorrow for sure. Thank you for sharing.

Eventually, I find my way out and I hope you will too 🤗
Sieht gut 👍 aus

I’m envious of your patience when it comes to laying those light layers of colour and letting it build. Your transitions look so smooth. I get impatient and want that bold pigment on the paper right away. I need to slow down and be more mindful.
I totally get what you're saying!! I too would love the bold colors to appear right away! And watercolors have been a great teacher to me in this respect - I usually like my work better when I slow the process down too. Thank you for your kind words and for making the time to connect ❤️🤗

Hello ☺️❤️ Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I use both fine grain table salt and coarse grain salt and they both produce different, interesting effects. When it comes to experimenting, your curiosity is key! The more you try new things, the more you will learn and grow as an artist. 🎨☺️

That is awesome!! What kind people ❤️ Their language is like a joyful song to me 🥰
It's OK to prioritise yourself. I'm not attached to my digital equipment either. I often turn it down.
❤️☺️ Agreed! I'm happy to see you take breaks from electronics too!
Thanks!
Thank you! ❤️🤗

This is beautiful! How do you keep your paper from buckling when you are using so much water?

Your work is beautiful and I appreciate your sharing. But, Gabrielle you do go on…jus’say’n… that said, I did learn from you.
Thank you for your kind words ☺️
Beautiful ❤❤❤. New subscriber here
Thanks for subbing! ❤️ It means a lot to me and I appreciate your kindness ☺️
Hi. Geary video, what have you taped the paper down onto? Thanks ❤
Thank you for your kindness ☺️❤️ I usually tape my paper onto a piece of plexiglass or another rigid surface like a clipboard. I prefer this to taping it down on my table because I can pick it up and moving it around if I need to.
@@gabrielleannacormierart thankyou so much 😍
What is the first brush you used. I don’t see a link for it.
Hi, what ink do you use in you fiuntain pen please?
Hi ☺️ This is the black ink I use in my fountain pen: amzn.to/46wthbJ.
Gabrielle is it regular table salt ro special kind
I generally like the results I get with regular table salt the most. But, coarse grain salt can also create interesting effects. In this painting, I was using fine grain table salt. ☺️
Can we do this using acrylic paints?
You can layer, thin the paints. A lot like this.
Can I make this on stretched canvas?
I have not tried this technique using watercolors and/or acrylics on canvas and so I cannot say whether or not it will work. If you do try it using acrylic paints, I would suggest diluting your paint with a medium to make it less viscous. The best way to learn about anything is to experiment with your supplies to see how they will interact. Have fun ☺️
