Looks great and I like the idea of being able to operate the phone through the screen with UA mounts, but I want to be able to keep the phone in its everyday protective case too. I have already dropped the phone onto the garage floor when seating it in my Givi holder and it would have broken without the regular protection case.
That top clamp bolt replacement has no head ? so effectively your handlebars are now only clamped on the right side...or is there something I can't see ?
I use UA kit and the ram mounts with phone cases etc are really good. My TomTom Rider is fitted to one of their mounts too. However the Hard Wire kits they do have always failed on me, they never last long and just pack up working. I appreciate they may have been improved but I'd never bother with one again. Also everytime Apple update the phone software the UA adaptor stops working, so that's another £10 to keep using what I had already paid for... Annoying!
Wow! It's a great video! But how do I mount cameras like you do when I ride the S1000RR? Sadly, the S1000RR does not have room to mount on the handlebar. I think, on the left front, it seems to be able to mount on the mirror, and the left rear seems to be mountable on the left frame slider. I am worried that the mirror is more vibrated than the handle bar. What do you think? Thanks!!!
You can get a ball joint which mounts in the middle of the yoke on sports bikes. Have a look on the ultimateaddons website. I know you'll probably have less options because of the fairing on your bike, but you can use any M6 M8 or M12 bolt you can find on the bike, that is exposed.
It will vibrate more mounted on the mirror, mine is mounted into where the original mirror used to be. Depends what camera you have, if it has electronic stabilisation like the gopro hero 7, it will deal with the vibs.
@@thelikeablerider8800 I really appreciate your reply. Yes, but fork stem is already equipped with a mobile mount ... Hmmm ... and I can not think of any bolts you mentioned except where I put the sliders ... Hmm ... Thank you so much.
@@thelikeablerider8800 I'll have a look for some mounts for my bikes. Maybe some phone mount for the scooter and for my Tracer another mount, but I'm not using GoPro, I use Drift. Well plenty of things on their homepage though. 👍
Great vid.. but that case! 😂 That thing is horrible! Crazy.. Much rather a sleek lifeproof, with quadlock! Even quadlocks own case. Much more discreet. Well we all have different taste. 👍🏻 nice review.
I had one from quad lock on my mountain bike, unfortunately that couldn't keep my phone in one piece, when I crashed. Yes this one is bulky but must definitely well protected.

Looks good sturdy stuff. There are navigator aps for phones, if you don't want to splash your cash on a satnav, this is perfect.
Good review Shaun, interesting to know 👍.
I think your next gift in a box should be a 2019 GT.
Glad you survived the man-flu 😂.
It was touch and go at one point, nearly died! Free GT would be mega!😜
@@thelikeablerider8800 😂
I use the UA stuff Shaun, could do with a few more attachments myself for the GT, need to go have a look on their website again. Good review.
Happy hunting!👍😜
Doesn't matter who it is, outtakes always make me laugh 😂
It's important to make yourself look stupid every so often lol
Great vid! Is there something up with your camera and the audio sync for the mic, or is it just my mobile?
Just checked....All okay my end

I was looking at the forkstem mount earlier. I want to use my phone as a gps, are these mounts stable enough for that?
Yes most definitely
Harley Davidson use imperial bolts (suggest this is taken into account).

@@RidingTheAlps15 For mounting your drift camera, you could use our flat action adapter. You can then 3M your Drift mount to it and get recording :)
Yeah go crazy! There is plenty to choose from
@@ultimateaddons Thank you, I'll have a look in your on-line shop 👍
The sound of him asmr chewing that gum. Makes me want to slap him silly
💚
Do j just measure the width of bolt to get right size on handlebars
? I've a Ducati multistrada.
I'm pretty sure that all top clamps are M8 bolts
Cheers will get one ordered 👍👍
