Excellent information. Please consider a similar short presentation about the new free El Salvador passport for specialized skills (medical, and others); I am very interested to learn more about building a relationship with El Salvador. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the video and the article. Short and clear. It would be great if they had a digital nomad visa, but the local company should work as well.
I see the video is old. Has there been any new options added to the list? I've heard of Digital Nomad visa or Digital Nomad falls under Rentista. Also I've seen the Twitter announcement by Bukele that he is giving away 5,000 citizenships.
Great info, considering purchasing a property in El Salvador at some point in the next 5 years or so. Can you get residency through property ownership and are you still required to stay 8 months out of the year?
No residency through property ownership. This article will be helpful: thewanderinginvestor.com/international-real-estate/el-salvador-real-estate-market-guide/
property is too expensive here and the economy is too unstable, i would do a better research, there are much better options in central america like panama and costa rica, property cost is about the same but those countries are much better in every area
@@sion123fulif you want citizenship, El Salvador is a better bet than either of those. Panama is very stingy when it comes to giving out citizenship; and Costa Rica requires (I believe) seven years residency. How far back do they want to look for dividends on the Rentista ? Does it have to be exactly that amount monthly or can the total of 18000US over a year demonstrate sufficient proof of fund ?
Can Rodrigo talk about issues related to political stability even after Bukele and how it might affect expats? How about the issue of the climate, especially compared to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama?

Is El Salvador improving its environmental record on pollution, garbage, plastics accumulation etc ? Is there concern that an influx of foreigners will cause price inflation and gentrification? How many retired North Americans Are spending the winter months in El Salvador these days (up to even six months) on a tourist visa? public healthcare is horrible, private healthcare should be affordable as long as you are not too old. If you are above 60 few insurance companies will want to cover you.
He was so close to saying what the residency time is for Central Americans, you should’ve let him finish. There are Americans and other Westerners with dual citizenship that could’ve benefited from the information.
The areas in the mountains are considerably cooler and less humid. We found them to be quite comfortable compared to the city and the coast. We visited in September so we were already acclimated to a Southern US summer so some degree of heat and humidity was already tolerable for us.
