My radio stop working not fuse is good and radio lights dont work for station and I don't have a ash tray but the bulb works for ash trayand all other lights it started working again for 2 days and then there is some wires below the dash could their be a short somewhere in wires.
If you have a '92- '95 Grand Marquis or Crown Vic, you may wanna check this out: 1995 Grand Marquis Restoration - Mercury Forum - Mercury Enthusiasts Forums The famous 95 MERC was modified for long-distance, high-speed cruising throughout the deserts and mountains of the American Southwest. The video guy recommends Lucas Oil Additive "for this engine". I recommend doing what the 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis Service Manual says: USE NO OIL ADDITIVES !! Use the factory-recommended 5-W-30 viscosity in all climates. Latest API designation is "SP". I recommend Full (not blended) Synthetic engine oil; Bosch #3410 Oil Filter; change oil and filter every 5,000 miles for best combination of performance AND economy.
Well, I don't have this car anymore. As for the Lucas? The car would burn 1-2 quarts of oil every week, so that's why I ran Lucas. With the Lucas it wouldn't burn more than 1 to 1-1/2 quarts between oil changes and not let plumbs of smoke out of the back end. The early 4.6 Modular V8s had a problem of burning oil at low milage. If it didn't burn oil I would've just ran 5W-30 (5W-20 during colder months to avoid the valve train starvation issues. Ford changed their recommend viscosity in the early 2000's on Modular V8s because of these starvation issues.) I have a 2000 F-150 with essentially the same engine and it's starting to burn oil (Valve guides are toast from abuse.) so on my next oil change I'll go back to using Lucas to avoid the smoking and major loss of oil, but otherwise I've used nothing but 5W-30 on that truck. (It's too worn out for me to feel comfortable running 5W-20 even though there's a TSB to run 5W-20. It's used 5W-30 all 230K of its life and could be why the valve guides are worn out.) My 04 Expedition with the 5.4 2 valve ran nothing but 5W-20 as per recommended all 335K of its life and never burnt a drop of oil. It never seen any oil additive in that time ether. I'm not a fan of oil additives, but when the engine is on its last leg or burning oil, it's a quick bandaid to get alot more life out of a engine not worth overhaul.
Dirt cheap, all parts available, build to last, BOF + V8 + RWD. Luxurious, advanced technology, safe & clean. All child diseases from the 80's ironed out. I'd take these cars over a new one every day.
I just got a 1996 Marquis to car-flip, for $950 that only had 71000 miles on it. Noticed my friend's neighbor selling it. It had a massive intake manifold coolant leak, several electrical problems, bald tires and a horrible brake shudder. Fixed all of those for about $1000 (did the work myself), cleaned and polished the car. It is a dream to drive. If it wasn't so huge I would keep it for myself (I can barely turn it around in my driveway). Enjoy your car!
@toyota4life94 I will be making a video of me going through a tunnel wash in my area with before and after shots. Well once the damn snow stops and the road's dry up. LOL I have been plowing my car through 2 foot slush and snow piles.
I hope this car still survives as I doubt you still own it in 2018? Big older luxury sedans that were owned & driven by retired people are usually the best purchases. Well maintained, cheap & often low mileage. Best of all comfortable. Yes, usually some of the gadgets are broken, in my experience always the automatic boot release but they were cheap!
Rare VHS uploads It survived many years of my abuse but ended up biting the dust when I sold it to a family friend. When I had the chance to buy her back she was hardly even on the road at that point. It was a shame as this car still had tons of life left.
PS - it's a LS with digital speedo, automatic climate control, dual pipes, electric passenger seat, etc. Not sure why but on mine the gas door is non-locking. Anyone could come and siphon all 20+ gallons right out of the tank...
@GmTruckCarLove i found out that its 210 cause i just got one and thats all the shit they told me and idk about the tourqe and idk if its dual im getting the car soon so i look in to it
@GmTruckCarLove not bad i got a ls not to long ago for free i worked and this lady gave it to me only 80000 miles new tires/tuneup/oilchange ext... and only thing wrong is theres a ugly dent in the door and fender and window fell off track
