Im not a grower, but does root/soil temperature mater, if so could you use an element from an electric blanket to increase the soil temp if that was beneficial?
Not always true.. leaf temps can vary depending on your grow lights. I've had leaf temps higher than room temps with 1000w LEDs & with hps the infa red is absorbed by the leaves which can make the lst sore
I use a vpd chart look at my temp and look at the RH for the stage im in and i set accordingly i also keep my inline fan on exhaust to keep rh in check
I have a full ac infinity set up that I have been using for maybe four weeks and have been keeping my BPD and check with both a humidifier with a max humid percentage of 70. My temperature usually ranges anywhere between 80°F to 85 maxing during the day but at night time I usually drop about 10, 15 sometimes 20° in temperature, but that’s just because I want a more purple plant. My BPD usually stays within 1.00 or within the range of that one point I use the controller 69+ with four Ports my circulation fan, light, and both my in-line fan kits, one for an intake and one for an outtake. Been a grower for about 6 years but recently switched to a more controlled environment with ac infinity I used to just grow in my larger fish tank seeing it’s been empty for years lol
my best results come from 85 degrees with 70 humidity for veg and then 80 temp and 50 hummidty for flower. Cannabis loves warm temps and when you add the high humidity in veg she will flourish.
Lots of really great information as always ! There sure is a lot to learn about growing indoor cannabis . Can I ask what % you run your hlg lights at in flower? I feel my HLG is too powerful.... If i go above 60% lights power it ruins the plants (without co2)

If vpd is right you can kick up the co2 and dli. Peaked and tuned praying almost straight upright. And each cultivar is different. One cultivar may like a different vpd. Some cultivars like dryer vpd other moisture vpd remember the chart is a curve. Some cultivars came from desert growing areas and other from dense humid equatorial areas. The more info you have on the cultivar the better.
I live in southeast Tennessee and my plants are growing just fine in 90 degrees and 70% humidity. It goes between 85-90-95 throughout the summer and humidity is usually 30-50-70%. I would like to create some sort of cover for my plants though to keep them a little in the shade without covering up too much sunlight. I’m also going to build a 12’x20’ greenhouse that’s 10’ tall at its highest. I’m hoping that will give me a much bigger ability to control the environment. Fingers crossed.
VIVOSUN has a controller as well I have it and it connect with their inline fan and has a app for your phone to set up temp and humidity limit triggers
Just got an AC Infinity 4x4 with the Controller 69. I hang the temp/humidity probe at canopy height. Just started some ETHOS Banana Daddy and Night Owl Blue Sirius... just out Day 9. Aiming for VPD level 0.6 - 0.8 during seedling. Generally speaking it's been relatively easy to regulate so far. I'm curious to see how well I can control the VPD level during flower however. So far I like it.
Thank you for the great info. If I’m running CO2 in flower, can the temperatures be a little bit higher I always thought CO2 needed to run with about 79 to 80° temps to be fully affected. Thank you..
VIVOSUN offers the same controller that you mentioned from AC Infinity. I’ve never used any AC Infinity gear, though I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. I just so happened to have started with VIVOSUN and have just stuck with them ever since. That new Evo10 1,000w LED that AC Infinity just released not long ago and the refillable carbon filter sure have caught my eye, though. Might eventually make the switch if they keep making strides in the cultivation industry.

Im going to be running fox farm coco loco, extended veg grow dots, recharge and Humboldt's secrets golden tree additive any tips or tricks i should try
I've had great results since I got rid of the grow tent...my flower room is regulated with a dehumidifier and a wall ac unit...my humidity stays right around 49 and my temp is at 68...the girls are thriving. Why regulate two temp zones if you don't have to.
I moved from a warm attic to a cold shed my plants went from being watered ever 5 - 7 days to at a peak 33 days now I run Gaia Green so that's too long. My plants soil was too cold so the stamata would be closed that left me with very slow growth and pencil sized stems after 80 days in veg not good. So I've added 2 large heat mats set at 76f they are now dry in 4 - 6 days they look happy very happy the only problem I have is the humidity has dropped to 35% so going to add humidity lol can't win.. point is seedlings thrive in those conditions so I'm hoping veg & flower will.. botanical gardens use under ground heating so why don't we for our tropical plants. Thanks Scotty & Gang 👍😊
When flowering I run lights at night. Even then it’s hard to keep my temps below 80 in my tent during the summer. It’s normally 82 at the hottest. I do alright I don’t really see a difference during winter when I can keep it colder. I just try to keep it as simple as possible.
under 80 in flower for sure. a friend of mine is a large thc producer in the state of wa. Hes always telling me to keep my flower temps at 74 in flower because thats where the first terpenes start to burn off. it seemed crazy low to me.... but i tried it. i feel hes correct. im not sure my nugs were as big as they might have been at 78.... but i think i actually yielded yummier nugs. to be honest ive been keeping them low since then. of course.... back in the days of hps id have never been able to do that. lol
I want to ask another question I've been seeing people with under canopy low wattage lights and they don't lollipop their plants no more what is that about wouldn't it just be better to put mirrors is there a big companies out there doing it now
Hi Guys, kinda new to growing but doing my best with 3 x 9l (~2,4 gallons) with living soil. I recently heard that Terpenes dissolve when exposed to >27C° ~80 F, my problem, living in germany, that ac units are kinda uncommon and pricy. My question now, is there any other way than using an ac unit? If it´s the only way, then I have no choice, but maybe some of yall are more creative in this problem than me :D
Hey brother hate to bother you but do you think grow dots are are good for autos that way I don't have to worry about Lock out over under feeding ect? I'm a new grower and trying to make it easier
That's why you got to tell me about these amino acid I got a question if you give it a mean growth amino (tryptophan)acids you have to feed it more am I correct
Arizona is weird especially since qhere im at it snows and hits 110+ with0%rh,makes it interesting controlling temps etc inside during season changes, and exactly ya gotta lower the room the tent is in,found havin exhaust exiting that room helps alot too
It got up into the low 80's outside for the first time since I have been growing and I had to fire up the central air. The room with my tents in it still heated up more than I'd like and was pushing 75. This is what I mean when I say I'm making adjustments as I learn. Does anyone use one of those portable AC units in their grow room? It looks like I'm in the market for one to keep outside the tents on those warmer days. I've been keeping the door to the hallway cracked open with a fan blowing into the room and that it helping. I'm thinking along the lines of a $200-$250 budget for a small portable in the 5,000 to 8,000 btu range. Heads up to the perfectionists, $200 up to about $250 is my budget so don't bother giving a sales pitch on another central air unit or redoing duct work. I remodeled my first house in the 90's and put in new duct work, sheet metal through a crawl space using slips and drives, something sheet metal workers will know. These days I'm all about the simplest cheapest solutions that meet the modest needs of my space. I've got a Fast Buds fast flowering Orange Sherbert and a Rum Dosidub auto finishing up and a drying tent full of Trainwreck. These last few days have made it obvious that I'm going to have to take the grow room temps down a bit to balance things out. This video pushed my cheap ass over the edge and convinced me to spend a few bucks. 😀
Silica can help your plants withstand a little bit higher temps and humidity. I just upgraded my light from 250watts (?so it says?) to 400watts, I totally forgot to think about temps changing. So now I'm having to re-tweek everything again. I cannt wait to see the results though!!! I

I had last year had two out door's an we had rain after rain in our area. An they got big but they were down hill after. They turned brown after harvest. But is was good. They drowned.
Leave the domes on till your plants grow their first 5 finger leaf … but then again I never had a problem not using um … just gives them a better chance to get out of the seedling stage and into the veg stage
Your first set has a single blade leaf then your second set should be 3 bladed leaf so as your fourth set but your 5th it should be a 5 bladed leaf set… that’s when your in veg and your goin to see your plants take off in growth
Fo sho … by then you should be transplanting in bigger pots so your roots take advantage of all the space to grow into and if you don’t have recharge definitely get some 🤙🏽
Do they actually work? What is the difference between a person running everything and then a controller? I get the controller will adjust things like fans, lights, equipment based on your inputs, But how does it do a better job vs a human? Also does it make it easier as a grower?

Not always true.. leaf temps can vary depending on your grow lights. I've had leaf temps higher than room temps with 1000w LEDs & with hps the infa red is absorbed by the leaves which can make the lst sore
Vivio has controllers for smart grow tents/ temp humidity controller.
Just bought some of your products .. gotta get something for the roots
Vivosun also makes a controller that shows vpd and auto controls circulation and ventilation as well as the lights.
I use a vpd chart look at my temp and look at the RH for the stage im in and i set accordingly i also keep my inline fan on exhaust to keep rh in check
Thanks for sharing!
can you do a session on herms and breeding??
we will see about adding it to our ideas list!
I mean VPD
My temps hover around the 80s and humidity is always in the 60s and i never had mold prpblems...
my best results come from 85 degrees with 70 humidity for veg and then 80 temp and 50 hummidty for flower. Cannabis loves warm temps and when you add the high humidity in veg she will flourish.
Lots of really great information as always ! There sure is a lot to learn about growing indoor cannabis . I never worried about all that growing peppers indoors but I guess i'm only really trying to keep them healthy until they go outside . To be honest i'm always ready for them to go outside lol . Thanks for sharing and have a great day !
You Too!
Im in DWC Hydrobuckets I roll my room at 75 degrees . Rh at 70 % in veg and 50 % in flower
I am using the AC Infinity controller with their heater, dehumidifier, light, and fan.
noted thank you guys
I'm running a 5x5 with a 700watt hlg and a 3x12 closet with a 600 watt fluence light up in a attic and been keeping a 74 to 80 temp and been keeping my humidity at 60 in my lung room and all my girls are thriving and love when i give them recharge
Recharge is the shittt!!!! I've seen plants double in size over night with it
Can I ask what % you run your hlg lights at in flower? I feel my HLG is too powerful.... If i go above 60% lights power it ruins the plants (without co2)
@ace2044 I use a aplegee light meter and shoot for about 900 at canopy height for flower I do get reading up to 1800 at 6 inches at max power
ok thanks bro, I'll never understand how people run at 900par, even 600par is too much for me. Thanks anywayz@@E.Z.Outdoors-
Is 70% humidity and 70 temp good this is my first grow im growin in my closet for right now till my grow tent comes its a 23x62 23x62 47x24
3 ton mini split and an Anden 320 dehumidifier in my flower room and an ideal air humidifier, and dehumidifier for my nursery with a lung room right next to it to draw cold air from through a mushroom filter for temperature.
I lived in the desert for ten years before that in rainforest I grew the biggest plants I've seen over 11 pound per plant on average they acclimatise after a couple of.years in the dessert ive you scotty😂 great show
Nice.
True
I live in southeast Tennessee and my plants are growing just fine in 90 degrees and 70% humidity. It goes between 85-90-95 throughout the summer and humidity is usually 30-50-70%. I would like to create some sort of cover for my plants though to keep them a little in the shade without covering up too much sunlight. I’m also going to build a 12’x20’ greenhouse that’s 10’ tall at its highest. I’m hoping that will give me a much bigger ability to control the environment. Fingers crossed.
HI man. great stuff. can you tell mi please what would bi night temperature in veg and flower. thanks
you don't want large temp and humidity swings, so keep it within 10 degrees of your day time temps.
@@ScottyReal420 thanks a lot
VIVOSUN has a controller as well I have it and it connect with their inline fan and has a app for your phone to set up temp and humidity limit triggers
Nice.
Temps seem low , there has been a study showing best photosynthesis is between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius
Thank you for the great info. If I’m running CO2 in flower, can the temperatures be a little bit higher I always thought CO2 needed to run with about 79 to 80° temps to be fully affected. Thank you..
Yes you can!
What about outdoor?
Been using recharge for 3 to 4 years now and will never grow with out it anymore and just got my first bag of extended veg grow dots can't wait to see the results popping beans as we speak. Im going to be running fox farm coco loco, extended veg grow dots, recharge and Humboldt's secrets golden tree additive any tips or tricks i should try
Do grow dots work with coco coir?
I've had great results since I got rid of the grow tent...my flower room is regulated with a dehumidifier and a wall ac unit...my humidity stays right around 49 and my temp is at 68...the girls are thriving. Why regulate two temp zones if you don't have to.
I always enjoy a good upgrade!
Great question, thanks for sharing.
Temp and humidity controller it's called a inkbird amozon for around 40.00
80f and keep between 40 and 50 percent humidity the whole grow perfect 🎉🎉
80F I agree all the way nite time dif gives the colors but i run 65% in veg and 55-60% in flower better yield then low RH the whole grow
When flowering I run lights at night. Even then it’s hard to keep my temps below 80 in my tent during the summer. It’s normally 82 at the hottest. I do alright I don’t really see a difference during winter when I can keep it colder. I just try to keep it as simple as possible.
Pinata pinata please get to the point what is the sweet temperature and sweet spot humidity level
8:26
I actually have an easier time controlling the temp and humidity in a 4x4 than I would if I was just using a bigger open space room.
under 80 in flower for sure. a friend of mine is a large thc producer in the state of wa. Hes always telling me to keep my flower temps at 74 in flower because thats where the first terpenes start to burn off. it seemed crazy low to me.... but i tried it. i feel hes correct. im not sure my nugs were as big as they might have been at 78.... but i think i actually yielded yummier nugs.
to be honest ive been keeping them low since then. of course.... back in the days of hps id have never been able to do that. lol
Maybe an episode about sound stimuli in an indoor environment ? Like precursor sounds for storms (watering) , birds , flowing rivers/streams ?
Thanks for the idea, we will put it in the idea pool.
I want to ask another question I've been seeing people with under canopy low wattage lights and they don't lollipop their plants no more what is that about wouldn't it just be better to put mirrors is there a big companies out there doing it now
Mirrors give harsh reflections that will burn the plants
Love these, Scotty dropped facts 🫶☘️
Hi Guys,
kinda new to growing but doing my best with 3 x 9l (~2,4 gallons) with living soil.
How do your manage to keep your room at 65° fahrenheit? I'm confused
Arizona is weird especially since qhere im at it snows and hits 110+ with0%rh,makes it interesting controlling temps etc inside during season changes, and exactly ya gotta lower the room the tent is in,found havin exhaust exiting that room helps alot too
I can imagine those tents would be a pain. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Mr. Real 🖐️☺️
yeah often when you change thing up like that you need to redial you grow.
Wish I could show u guys the results so far of My plants with just growdots. Been stupid easy thus go around. 1st time using I think I'm hooked.
So Glad they are working out for you! You could always make a Dank nug post on dudegrows.com I would see it there. If you don't have an account, the invite code is: straindependent
great advice
Ok this guy is legit. I’ve only heard the elites say their temps in flower don’t exceed 70 degrees
I had last year had two out door's an we had rain after rain in our area. An they got big but they were down hill after. They turned brown after harvest. But is was good. They drowned.
Great short
How long should I have my humidity dome on my plant after it starts to veg?
Leave the domes on till your plants grow their first 5 finger leaf … but then again I never had a problem not using um … just gives them a better chance to get out of the seedling stage and into the veg stage
So mine has four little leafs is that what you mean??
Your first set has a single blade leaf then your second set should be 3 bladed leaf so as your fourth set but your 5th it should be a 5 bladed leaf set… that’s when your in veg and your goin to see your plants take off in growth
Awesome thank you for the information man it’s a big help. I wasn’t sure completely
Fo sho … by then you should be transplanting in bigger pots so your roots take advantage of all the space to grow into and if you don’t have recharge definitely get some 🤙🏽
I use AC Infinity 69 pro. A few other companies are making controllers now, as well, they are so cheap for what they do.
Do they actually work? What is the difference between a person running everything and then a controller? I get the controller will adjust things like fans, lights, equipment based on your inputs, But how does it do a better job vs a human? Also does it make it easier as a grower?
@@listerinestrips1156 When you can set all the on/off settings, it makes for much less work. Sure a human could do it , but you would have to be there around the clock. it is more about consistency. It really shines when you are away from home, or to busy to do all the adjustments yourself. Please feel free to ask anything more you might want to know.
@@curlygreenleaf thanks. Would ac Infinity controller work with mars hydro lights or no?
@@listerinestrips1156 Yes, I use 4 Mars lights TS 1000's in a 4x4 with my AC Infinity controller. I think I had to get a cord for it, like 15$. But works great for me.

Keep the work up brother im now starting to grow cannabis has become almost legal in Germany
Hey scotty I'm on day 7 of dry and I've kept good ,60-68f and 58-61% rh. Today though we had a rain and humidity is up to 65 looks like it's going to come down in about 2 hours so looking at 65% rh for about 5 6 hours on my day 7 dry it's 67F right now. id of like to keep it at 60 but it got warm.
that is ok, get a bud or two samples from the drying plants, put in different jars with humidity meter in jars for a couple hours to see how close you are to jarring up the rest.
68f 60 is 53 dew point considered perfect drying VPD according to Allison Jones. You by default gave it the perfect environment. 🎉🎉
You should be fine. Hard to control your environment with the weather sometimes unless you have the right equipment.
Ac infinity monitor. Just got one
Always good info ty scotty
Glad to help
My RH is normally 35% on the vpd chart what is my optimal temperature for growth?
mid 60s, you may want to try to get the humidity level up a bit. you may find you get a lot better growth rate.
@@ScottyReal420 yeah thanks, i was thinking about that, but at 35% rh i dont think the vpd is right, temp is too low slow growth, in summer growth is always better regardless of the low rh but i do need to get a hum for sure, i just like the not much risk of molds ;)
Go underneath the leaf the underside of the leaf not the top of the leaf with the Sun is on the bottom side that's where you spray you got to flip that leaf around
at 65f during flower you want your RH to be ~30% for optimal VPD
I'm trying 75F daytime with a 1.15 - 1.25 VPD. Lots of circulation.
Always Dropping and knowledge 💣💭
