      Same 😂 though I have hit 100 a few times which wasn’t good. Though I have a load of circulation with fans and I turn air over in a 14x14 every 90 seconds. Seems to work. I live in sub-tropics so humidity is an issue though I negate that with loads of airflow as well.

      @John_De..713 it gets 115F in my greenhouse and that's when the girls are growing 2 inches a day. As long as you have great air flow with no pockets of stale air around, the girls will be just fine.
      My indoor grow much better at 85 then 82 with LED lights

    This video gave me so much usable information because I have a grow room and a 5x5 tent in my basement. With no environment control my basement stays 67 degrees and 55-65 humidity. I’m running a heater to get to 72 and a humidifier to stay around 65-70 humidity. My grow tent pulls air from my grow room. My grow room pulls air from my return air vent of my house. It comes out of the vent a little cooler than the house temp of 72-75 degrees. But it’s fresh air as I have a big house. I didn’t realize how lucky I was with the conditions in my basement.

    I have a full ac infinity set up that I have been using for maybe four weeks and have been keeping my BPD and check with both a humidifier with a max humid percentage of 70. My temperature usually ranges anywhere between 80°F to 85 maxing during the day but at night time I usually drop about 10, 15 sometimes 20° in temperature, but that’s just because I want a more purple plant. My BPD usually stays within 1.00 or within the range of that one point I use the controller 69+ with four Ports my circulation fan, light, and both my in-line fan kits, one for an intake and one for an outtake. Been a grower for about 6 years but recently switched to a more controlled environment with ac infinity I used to just grow in my larger fish tank seeing it’s been empty for years lol

I just so happened to have started with VIVOSUN and have just stuck with them ever since. That new Evo10 1,000w LED that AC Infinity just released not long ago and the refillable carbon filter sure have caught my eye, though. I made DIY VPD controllers from ESP32 microcontrollers ($2.00 each) and some solid state relays to turn on humidifiers, fans, dehumidifiers, etc. I have sensors (temp, humidity, co2) in the lung room and each tent, data is stored in a database and is served to a webpage with realtime data and graphs. VPD is dead-on in each tent at all times and all I have to do is fill up the humidifiers every other day, it seems like a miracle! Wish I could sell it, but my software isn't really written for a consumer market.

    I handle my vpd by doing exactly what you said by starting with a room thats comfortable to live in with shorts and a t-shirt. Then add a complete grow tent kit inside the room. The only thing you didnt mention that works better for me is venting my tent outside. If you can't vent it through an outside wall or window then vent it up into an attic or crawl space. If your worried about cutting a 4 inch or 6 inch circle in your ceiling. I found a perfect solution by getting a halo led light that plugs right into the hole 😉should you ever move or take your grow tent down.😊 I'd also like to add that it's much easier having multiple smaller tents than it is going with a large commercial light. As soon as you get a commercial light then everything goes up and you really don't need all that to grow quality. I call it buying a b.o.a.t break out another thousands every time you turn around.

    The most important part of the VPD equation wasnt discussed. An accurate leaf temp is essential in determining vpd. Pulse and the other controllers do vpd estimates. With a cheap laser thermometer and free app you can get accurate vpd readings. When you learn to control the plants temperature, the plant explodes. I aim for leaf temps in the 74-79° range. In flower a couple degrees cooler.

      Not always true.. leaf temps can vary depending on your grow lights. I've had leaf temps higher than room temps with 1000w LEDs & with hps the infa red is absorbed by the leaves which can make the lst sore

    If vpd is right you can kick up the co2 and dli. Peaked and tuned praying almost straight upright. And each cultivar is different. One cultivar may like a different vpd. Some cultivars like dryer vpd other moisture vpd remember the chart is a curve. Some cultivars came from desert growing areas and other from dense humid equatorial areas. The more info you have on the cultivar the better.

    It got up into the low 80's outside for the first time since I have been growing and I had to fire up the central air. The room with my tents in it still heated up more than I'd like and was pushing 75. This is what I mean when I say I'm making adjustments as I learn. Does anyone use one of those portable AC units in their grow room? It looks like I'm in the market for one to keep outside the tents on those warmer days. I've been keeping the door to the hallway cracked open with a fan blowing into the room and that it helping. I'm thinking along the lines of a $200-$250 budget for a small portable in the 5,000 to 8,000 btu range. Heads up to the perfectionists, $200 up to about $250 is my budget so don't bother giving a sales pitch on another central air unit or redoing duct work. I remodeled my first house in the 90's and put in new duct work, sheet metal through a crawl space using slips and drives, something sheet metal workers will know. These days I'm all about the simplest cheapest solutions that meet the modest needs of my space. I've got a Fast Buds fast flowering Orange Sherbert and a Rum Dosidub auto finishing up and a drying tent full of Trainwreck. These last few days have made it obvious that I'm going to have to take the grow room temps down a bit to balance things out. This video pushed my cheap ass over the edge and convinced me to spend a few bucks. 😀

    FlaVUH from Ventana plant science is a product hitting the scene with some amazing terpene production.. it's pricey but a well worth product that is an naturally occurring polymer that breaks down the volatile hyrdocarbons in the root zone, allowing more amounts of micronutrients to be broken down as most micros such as manganese or boron won't be absorbed as much as potassium will be

    Hi Guys,
    kinda new to growing but doing my best with 3 x 9l (~2,4 gallons) with living soil.
    I recently heard that Terpenes dissolve when exposed to >27C° ~80 F, my problem, living in germany, that ac units are kinda uncommon and pricy.
    My question now, is there any other way than using an ac unit? If it´s the only way, then I have no choice, but maybe some of yall are more creative in this problem than me :D

    Scotty I need some help. Gave some plants too much grow dots by accident and runoff PPM’s came in around 2500-3000 around week 3-4 of veg. Plants showed signs of toxicity and lockout so I flushed down to about 900 PPM runoff. Looks like they’ve bounced back at end of week 6 but a couple are showing signs of potassium and magnesium deficiency. Will it increase as the nutes transition into flower and recover or should I add more nutes to anything that needs it? I have Gaia green bloom nutes I can feed it that are organic and last about 3-4 weeks to supplement? Also do you think that flushing can cause issues with the release of nutes throughout flower?

    • @ScottyReal420
      @ScottyReal420  4 місяці тому +1

      Grow Dots are slow release, So what you flushed out was just the excess and they will continue to release more nutrients as the grow continues. Once they in there you really can't take them out and repeatedly flushing your plant is not gonna be good for it in the long run. You could try up potting into a larger container without additional grow dots in it to give the roots some fresh media to expand into. This would be a good question to ask over on dudegrows.com
