I am kicking myself the use of the cdc to give the emerger twist to the Grunter is an combination of inspiration and sheer genius.

Reminds me of the soft hackle dry fly John Barnes has recently somewhat popularized... I'm not sure who invented the fly but I've been tying dry flies with a turn of partridge and they have been KILLING it for me. The segmentation and movement it had in the film drives fish crazy! Love the fly and all your videos. all the best
    Scott

hi Davie could you tell me the brand of partridge feather you use and where to purchase it, as the stuff I'm using is more fluff than feather. Thanks in advance.

      Hi John,
I buy the full partridge skin so that I get the best feathers for these flies, Veniards and Cookshill are two of the companies I have bought from..I have attached a link for you to see.
