📦 While watching this I was reliving packing up 37 years of teaching materials (the teacher moving in wanted everything out) in 2 days during the pandemic (2020) with a boot on my broken ankle (planned retirement) 😬. I feel you with the pack up... I got to switch grade levels but found out the day before school ended, while my students were at specials... They returned and i put them to work... They had me moved almost completely by the end of the day into my new classroom. It was total chaos and I have no clue where anything is.... So excited but a bit overwhelmed to start classroom set up, but got my dream grade level!!!

I’m moving to a new school as the librarian and its my 4th school so I get the packing thing! It’s a lot and last year I didn’t move schools but they painted the library so I had to pack everything up. It’s a lot! Good luck 📦

My school is going through some massive staffing changes so while I have an idea what I might be teaching...I don't really know what I will be teaching. And I'm starting to get anxious. This is the first time in 14 years I haven't gone into the summer knowing what I would be teaching in the Fall. And I'm a big summer planner. 😟

Lucky you to have the time to pack after the kids leave. We MUST be checked out (on an official form signed by the principal) of our packed rooms on the last day and MUST turn in our keys and badge. No turning back whether you are moving or not.
that was how it was at my first school! crazy that you have to turn in your badge though.

I'm in Arizona and have 31 kinders. Class sizes in AZ are outrageous. I guess that's what happens when there's literally no teachers.

This is starting to turn into emotions for me.
I can only imagine what your now former students were feeling on that last day and now those future kinders having to adjust to not having the beautiful and resourceful Mrs. Call again as their teacher next school year.

I was soooo done this year that I pretty much threw all my stuff into 📦📦📦 and decided it would be a project for future me to regret 🤪

manipulatives in math! if we do group work mostly :) think, setting up word problems
Also how does the room look so much smaller without all your stuff?! Normally it's the opposite. Which just goes to show how efficient you are at creating homey spaces!
