In my freetime, I like to do some blacksmithing... but more apocalyptic weapons, to test what quality of things I can make with as little resources as possibly safe. So would you guys want me to send you some weapons at some point? Or you could send some ideas/plans and I can make it for you?
Rocket-powered/super-heated pickax!
@@babdreemer he said he did blacksmithing , not coked-crafting
Rocket powered chainsaw launcher.
i want an orphan slayer

keep in mind that originally the Kama was used as a farming instrument for rice farmers in japan. it never was intended to be a weapon when it first was created
My question whose bone is that
the modern mall ninja version is also not used by SWAT teams. but a version of the tonfa is used by police
The kama was used by samurai horseman to cut off heads of people also
in the old times, anything could be a weapon
Even when it was used as a weapon, it was in martial arts. The SWAT team doesn't bust down your door with a kama lol
The fact that the claymore was used as a poking weapon and it’s a replica hurts my soul
It hurt my country
In my country, It do make some destructive blast 😂
Listen, fighting real fire is not good for hand, ok?
Well they always use bladed weapons as a poking weapon in every video with them and i don't think they can afford the real deal although the Nine rings blade and the other blades was sharp
it's not even a claymore it's a replica of William Wallaces sword from Braveheart not even close to the size of the actual claymore he supposedly used.
The thing is Stone Age Weapons and Tools were secured 90% of the time by Sinew (White stretchy Ligament bit attached to Muscle). They would wrap it around the Stone, Flint, or Obsidian, while it was wet and stretchy. They Let the Sinew dry, which tightens as it dries, which then create a very secure and strong bond. Sinew was the Super Glue of Yesteryear, and is still used today.
Nice
Cool I actually love the random fact
@@noc9200 Thanks, I've picked up a ton of info and have done and do quite a few things in my Years of life. If I can pass on and enlighten a few People before I check out, I'll be satisfied.
“Yesteryear” tf is that
@@CrimsonGod68 Pre Firearm ish.
Bruh, challenges are fun and all and i really like them, but dude ...
Seeing y'all play with a bunch of new toys is getting back to the roots of the channel.
I freaking love this!
Plus it was cool seeing Trent actually have a conversation, talking and just being himself.
This is the best vid y'all have had in a long time, better than your already awesome videos!
Man, Trent went through it in this one.
Also, that shield looks exactly like the one I built for my baby niece when she wanted a viking themed birthday, dog dish shield boss and everything, except mine was cut out behind it so the hand had better space for the handle lol
Why you don't use gun in modern age 😂😂
It does look more like a viking shield then a Roman one

If zach had trent's body, Dustin's walls would all be destroyed.😂
Lol yea. I miss zach
what happened to him he just suddenly vanished
@@DaSlyFox he has a music career and quit
@@LEMPOLIOS Probably for the best. I'm pretty sure Dustin and his walls will last longer.
Ff
for our last stone age weapon, a weapon made out of metal.
So as a note they are often made out of bone, but we didn't want the team being in danger from a shattering weapon and went with metal but kept the original weapon shape.
Definitely metal though haha
do you work for them?@@pixelpatch

Cracked me up😂😂
trent was like 2 inches from death with that spear lol
1 centimeter*
@JestDustin u forgot the most important Modern weapon ever ( GUN )
jest????tf
Exactly
In the Medieval Period, a Weapon with a Pick Tip on 1 side, whether that was opposing the Blade of a War Axe, or a War Hammer was what was commonly used to bash Walls and Doors and Puncture through Armor, there were even War Picks in use.
I just love how you guys evolved from just Dustin filming gorilla, duct, tornado ect. Walls to this loved really back in the day the pain train been watching from the first or second wall breaking video love your guys vids really appreciate the work... keep it up bro's best wishes to all of you💯🫡😁🫶
This video makes one thing abundantly clear
Erik owes Trent a new pair of pants.
the way Trent looks so happy playing with the door, like a baby playing with a doll lol
trent looks so happy when he breaks the weapons
I made this comment so that every time someone likes ill get a notification to watch it again
The Stone Age axe is made for chopping wood, the spear is meant for throwing not stabbing bone, and the obsidian weapon is made for breaking off into humans, the Roman short sword is made for stabbing through chainmail, and the medieval sword is meant for hand to hand combat not for stabbing walls
Thats not the elephant in the room. Two handed sword was definitely bought on Temu
It was a hilariously bad sword. Looked like the blade and the handle were held together with glue and that metal certainly wasn't sword steel.
Honestly, I been here since the layer wall challenges and I got to say this video and the ones before are just as amazing, I'm glad you're still doing this. Keep it up. SOOUUHH WEEEEEEE!!!!
SOOUUU WEEEE
Kanabō were typically used against enemies in armor rather than a wall breaker. The rivets on the outside focus the energy from your swing and the weight of the club into a very fine point. Even just light blows were proven to be effective
The best hammer in history you can never go wrong with a hammer a heavy sledgehammer
War hammers are the best, they can puncture, deal blunt force and zone all in one
The Gladius is typically only sharpened a bit, and was used mostly for stabbing. You REALLY should have been using the flanged mace… like a mace. Not like a spear.
Trent almost died like 5 times during this video 🤣
Each sword has distinct characteristics influencing its stabbing ability. The nine-ring sword, with its intricate design featuring rings along the blade, may have limited stabbing capabilities due to potential drag or obstruction caused by the rings during penetration. In contrast, new age swords prioritize thrusting with tapered, pointed tips and balanced weight distribution, optimizing penetration and control during stabbing maneuvers. Short swords from just after the Stone Age, though versatile, may have slightly less optimized stabbing capabilities compared to later thrust-centric swords due to their design evolution. However, they would still offer effective stabbing potential with relatively sharp points and manageable size, catering to various combat scenarios.
Why did you write a whole essay
😅
@@user-gv5mr6it5r I am very passionate about swords
@@user-gv5mr6it5r passion mon frair
Hope your keeping half of these weapons because like you made or got like A TON of Weapons that you could use for challenges
Accuracy of regional representation across time periods: less than 20% (Classical is Greek, and that was a scuffed viking shield against a Chinese broadsword)
Accuracy of usage of weapons: less than 50% (did the spear dirty without ballistic gel)
Accuracy of Dustin vs Trent: 100% XD
Fun factor of this video: Infinite lol
The bastard claymore you used is not a fighting sword that’s a showpiece sword
i feel like the majority of the weapons are not actual weapons
Agreed the reason I know about that sword is I have one exactly like theirs. I use in a Scottish set up for ren fares.
its just a replica of the sword used in braveheart not even close to the size of the claymore william wallace was said to use
The monk spade is not used for shields in china where it’s actually used no one uses shields there. The moon crest is used for cutting peoples necks not for shields.
Spears were a massive leap in technology for the Stone Age being a stone age weapon that could be used a range was massive for keeping people fit and fed. You just have to imagine the game around at the time and the alternatives.
Gladius is the definitive sword n' board weapon. It's supposed to be less about hitting the enemies shield and more about getting to the enemy behind the shield.
The most devastating weapon for personal self defense during that time.
8:18 bro smiling cause he scared the Viking for once
Any swing from Trent would likely end with a broken arm for the shield bearer
“You’re just very accurate today you’re usually not that accurate” 😂😂😂 that killed me also rip Trent’s pants he’s got bad luck for video pants
Trent the guard captain with his 2 rookie foot soldiers. 😂😂
Trent being a human wrecking ball will always be amazing
I really enjoyed this. I actually had a nack of making stone tools that worked. I hope you get to either keep these or use them soon.
Also, just a random question about this channel, Will there be future 4K videos or will videos max out at 1080p?
I feel like 4K looks weird for these types of videos for some reason, not sure why. We use it for wide shots that we crop in often on. We also film in 4K on the reaction channel (JustDustin Reacts).
They probably should've gotten a few large hams or something. The stone age spear is meant to be thrown into large animals like mammoths and boars from a safe distance and make them bleed out, it's not meant to instakill. Likewise, a claymore is a slashing weapon - it can take a head off if you're strong enough, but it'll cause major bleeding wounds in the hands of basically anyone who can lift it. Neither's going to do much of anything against a sturdy wall - or a successful block or parry, making a wall or shield test with either of those moot.
The Kama is a weapon used in Karate, typically you use 2 of them. That "twisty" knife-spear is most likely called a commando spear since that's what the knife counterpart is called, a "commando knife"
The best JustDustin weapon: Trent!
Yesssssssssssssssssss
Poor trent just kept getting injured and eric kept wanting to cut off more and more of his pants lol this one definitely had me concerned for everyones safety
The doors are made of cardboard or some other (weak) material.
But other than that the claymore (sword) was a metal replica.
I've been watching these guys for years and they have made my day(s)
"whens the last time you thought about the roman empire"
every history class i went too💀💀💀💀☠️
I didn’t expect to see the macuahuitl in this video, very strong weapon.
Trent destroying all of the weapons made my day
You guys should make a unbreakable bat v2 with tungsten so Trent can use it
I remember watching justdustins videos back in 2018 to 2020 and now I'm back after 4 years, the nostalgia just hits hard🥲 it was the 100 layers videos and the flex tape videos which did it for me
The last time I watched you was a year ago bring back memories
Trent went from a mindless brute with a mask and is a friendly giant
shields are meant to protect you and stop the weapon from hurting you they wouldn't be attacking the shield but the person behind it so rating it on how much damage it does to the shield is kinda weird to me
It really makes my day every time i see you post
I LOVE this it was a very fun and enjoyable video. JustDustin hopefully you will do more videos like this one in the future
"What did we learn about hitting it in the middle right away?"
"...Yaba daba dont"
Lmfao this guy breakes every weapons 😂 then his face expression is priceless 😅😂
I find it funny that they called out the stone age axe for not being very sturdy yet literally half the weapons they tested after that broke.
Poor trent, every video they always make fun of him😂
We found Trent’s weakness his small calves 😂😂
I think it's funny whenever Trent breaks the weapons
We need to see test dummies like the bob dummies, with weapons.
Did you know that the hunger manga the last storage weapon they use was actually wasn’t made in a Stone Age. It was made in the medieval age by the Africans.
That's the first time I've ever seen someone yeet a flanged mace like it was a giant dart.
Love Trent grading the Kama by how well it functions to destroy stuff lmao. Like the curve helps cut wheat and people, but doors and boxes naaaaah. Lmao
You should do hundreds layers with the weapons and have Trent do it
I’ve been her since the beginning of his channel in Wolfies gym wrapping random stuff around a weight rack and it’s crazy to see where he is now
I love the video were you test new weapons
That is a lot of weapons my boi!
Another iconic video keep it up man
I would be interested to see what other kind of practical tier lists you would do.
Now this is a blast from the past. SSSSSOOOOOOOUUUUUUWWWWWEEEE!!
12:04 😂🤣😂🤣😂 XD LOL HAHAHAHAHA!!!! You guys… you guys… HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I just know safety specialists and firefighters are STRESSED OUT😅😂
Nice shot when Trent throw the bone and he hit it
This is an amazing video. Very interesting concept and you guys seem to have a ton of fun
I feel really bad for Trent in this one, imagine if he actually got burnt badly... that would not be good... remember what happened in the Candy Diamond video? I felt terrible and I actually felt it...
Wow his creativity continues. NICE. Keep whatever didnt break.
I haven't watched in a while cuz life, but is that a new location?
@@CXHo-sy1xz Dustin got his own warehouse a while ago. This is most likely a set built inside of said warehouse.
This man just called a mace an arrow sword then proceeds to use it as a dart
Thought we wouldn’t notice Trent’s beard change
The short Roman swords are called spatha.
the longer ones are, but lengh is debateble, some keep it simple on saying b ano is gladius and ano is spatha.
I love the vids keep it up and tell Zack I said good job on his music career so far
I swear Trent has the best job
Was Trent watching Aquaman before the video
maybe a video on gardening tools. theres a gardening spear thats used for weed wacking that yall might like.
The hunga munga was actually used as a throwing weapon rather than a slashing weapon
classical era, that's a barbarian or Viking shield and it was made weak like that so when the sword would get stuck and then they could disarm the roman
What Trent wants on the claw/scythe like blade that I cannot remember the name of😅, is called a beak if you get a Bec de corbin, Halbird, or an actual battle axe they will have one and they are bloody scary to see in action.
Next video going be about Trents Revenge! For his Pants! Against Eric. LOL
Why not do 100 layers of rubber bands using primitive weapons
You guys missed the best stone age weapon, the atlatl.
Spears are used for fishing not for break bones
Where did you get that monk's spade? I have been trying to find one that could stand up to use for a long time....
The Kama. Originally a farm tool use for cutting grain and grass. Better for slashing and cutting than for stabbing.
Oh and thanks for making up my mind. That last spear and war hammer in the modern weapons. Now that I see how easily they would fall apart...I'll be avoiding those.
i feel bad for trent he's only known as the big strong man but in these recent vids he's trying to display real emotion and they dont care 😥😥
The second medieval weapon was an Aztec weapon, not medieval the Aztecs were around in between the Stone Age and medieval age
new word NOT THE PANTS!! reference to NOT THE WALL!!!
The fact that the didn’t just use human dummies instead of a bone for testing blows my mind ngl 😂😂
I think trent doesn't like spears all that much because of the stabbing, maybe he would like a "Guangdao" (propably misspelled) due to the slashing capability
Imagine if in the 2024 part, he just pulls out an M4A1 and starts blasting
Out of all the weapons the strongest with no doubt in my mind was
Trent
Those poor doors thought they where going to be used as a entrance to some sweet family but no Trent needs his testosterone levels increased
nahh, trent, that thing straight as hell
Dustin should ask me to make him industructable
Are we not going to talk about how Trent shaved his beard mid video?
Next time you guys need to use doors that are not hollow, you need pure wood to see the actual strength of the weapon
