How many hours did this take you and how many would you presume it to take someone who hasn't done it before? I'm mechanically inclined for the most part but this would be the first..
Awesome series. Is it difficult to change the gear ratios in these transmissions? I just finished converting a 944 to electric, but the motor only spins up to around 2500 rpm.
Electric? Wow. There are some things you can do. See what ring and pinion ratio you have. Also wheel and tire rolling radius will make a difference too.
@@EuropeanAutoCraftStudios It's an 84 S2, so I'm thinking it might be easiest to switch to a turbo transmission, which I think has a higher final drive ratio.
@@EuropeanAutoCraftStudios I guess I'm not up on the different 944 styles. I bought it based on the fact that the engine was blown and the steering came as both power and manual, hoping to convert it to manual so I didn't have to drive a power steering pump.
Keep the content coming, love to see the progress and I know many in the 951 community will appreciate the rebuild you do on the next transmission.
Thanks for watching and supporting our channel. We may have 2 transaxles to rebuild. Should be awesome....
