I only REALLY started enjoying the game once I got a Toon I really enjoy, Glisten. After that I know that I can play as slow as I want since I already have a favourite toon I can play as
I have pebbles!! it’s totally worth it! you can see items, tapes, and capsules! and, your bark ability can be useful:). I recommend practicing distracting with a friend who plays a low stealth toon 1 on 1 because it’s hard just learning!

1:31 lowkey doing toodles’s mastery first is better. While you complete it you have a chance of encountering pebbles and giving you an advantage for when you later get Rodger
As someone with every main toon, i agree it was hard to grind those main twisteds, they would either never show up,show up when I died or someone was distracting and I couldn't get research, i would say the hardest mains to get were Vee and Pebble who fell into the never show up category
idk if u already have all mains but if u dont or anyone else reading this needs more research you can stand one step out of the ele and get spotted as the distractor runs back to the elevator during panic mode

I actually think it would be faster if you played Toodles first, because you can get her mastery AND get research at the same time, after finished with mastery you should switch to Rodger.
One time,, I hade a REALLY BAD RUN, it was all good for floors 1-6 but then on floor 7, SPROUT, next floor, Sprout again!, then, next floor VEE, then next floor, Vee (and Gigi) for like floors 7-8 2 hearts, floor 9 1 heart, Then died too Gigi.
doing toodles first would mean multitasking, even if one of the tasks is slow. doing rodger first meant you played toodles ONLY for mastery and had to do more research when playing as rodger
Despite that being your answer, there could be improbable possibilities by the way, for that, let's use math: Let's assume you're just going to get the Ichor to buy Toodles, now Toodles costs 350 Ichor, along with the requirement to survive 15 floors. Let's assume that, for every 20 floors, it'll take you 40 minutes, that every floor has Twisted Pebble (which you already faced) and that you survived all of those with Boxten. Every 20 floors get you ~300 Ichor, depending on your contribution. You would take 43 minutes to get 350 Ichor (getting 50 Ichor takes less time than you think, collect capsules, face twisteds and die at floor 3, you'll see). After getting Toodles, you already would get 100% Twisted Pebble, so now your worries would be just the Ichor and mastery. With no procrastination, you would take around 1.20 hours for her mastery (or less, but these are just assumptions). Since 40 minutes = 20 floors, you would technically survive 40 floors, because you spent 80 minutes, converting from hours to minutes. Therefore, adding everything up, you COULD take 2.03 hours to get Pebble, IF you're extremely lucky (getting Rodger would just waste time, on these conditions, so I'm not doing it). Maybe the math is wrong? I don't know, you guys tell me... 🤔
From recent speendruns that ive seen people are now able to get to floor 100 under 5 hours now. If I could around 2 floor 50 runs I could definitely get enough research and ichor but maybe the toodle mastery might take a bit longer but I bet I can get a main toon in around 5 hours. (probably astro or shelly)
Heres a crazy thing, i only started playing this game in December back then and when i started as poppy, i grinded the vintage skin and then i got used to the game, then like resuming into the future i was able to purchase all mains and no other side toons, which was pretty crazy for me since i was a starter then worked my way up with just rodger. It took me 1-2 weeks in total to obtain all mains. So that tells you i was hard core grinding
I remember that, on two different runs, got Pebble on floor five, and in another run, Vee on floor five. In another run, i also recently got both Shelly and Sprout on the same floor, which was floor seven.

Firstly go into a lobby solo and do 5 floors. Every 20 floors without restarting is about 800-1000, thats the harder method. Easy method is do 5 floors each 5 is about 100-150 and die on floor 5 to the panic timer. Since you are soloing it, i reccemend blue bandana and if you have it use pink bow or teddy bear and use the character rodger or glisten.
It took me a few months to get my first main (Shelly) but then în less than 1 WEEK I got them all.Hardest to get was Vee,she was 4500,she needed brightney master,brightney was 1500 ichor and had a NIGHTMARISH MASTERY. It was worth it.😊
Rn, I'm also trying to get Pebble. Though, Im starting off eith rnoug ichor. Rn, i yave 2456, which is onky a bit away, so im using Tisha. Always use Tisha if ur grinding because her ability is beneficial for you because each floor u use ur ability on, u earn 5 ichor. Also if ur grinding, use veemotr or wrench to complete a machine. Then let the rest of ur teamates do the machined while u go pick up research capsules, which will earn u 2x the ichor. Now research. I have 47 percent research on Pebblr, so i really would recommend using Rodger if ur doing a main hunt, he earns twice the resesrch from capsules, and with encounters, he earns 10 percent research instead of 5. Also but from Dandys shop etarting on floor 6, it increases main chances. So yeah, thats all i got for research on whatever main ur saving up for. Lastly, mastrey. Mastrey is easy. Toodles isn't very expensive, and her mastrey quests r super easy. Not only do u get her vintage skin, but a requirement for little Pebble. Thats all i got, but if u want, y'all can use this advice saving for other mains as welp, the process should take about 2-5 hours depending on what main u want.

A strat I did was I wanted Astro, so I played rodger for research and when I got to around 80 research, I played a better toon, and somehow I got 100 research on pebble so I decided to stay as Rodger to get vee's trinket so I could get toodlee mastery of completing machines easily, while getting more mains, and then I got pebble and that very night, I got Astro, because I saved up to 10000 ichor, so don't spend much ichor, and play smart
somehow me as poppy because i was gettin looey an a finn survived astro AND pebble on floor 5 next floor was sprout and 2 later floors it was astro or sprout and it kinda sucks that i had allready gotten all the mains lol
Btw, weird info, but I got twisted pebble’s on floor 5 while doing a normal run with a few other people, (all of them died except for me ;-;). Also, js wanted to mention that in a run with only a few ppl, we found 3 bands and 1 med in the first 4 floors, which is insane in my opinion. Pebbles was the first twisted I ever encountered. Then afterwards all I saw was Vee. And I guess my rng was really high that week because I was able to get 100 on Vee and 89% before another main showed up now saving up I her and getting other requirements/mastery’s is another story for me. I’ve only been playing since November but I’m still not done getting the other twisteds besides Vee and pebbles lol

I took four weeks trying to get Astro. With me having school during the week, and being kinda busy on the weekends, i did it, after *four whole* fudging weeks. I'm so glad i got the over with 😌
yesterday i was playing with my irl besties and tried a dandy run,, we proceeded to get dandy on FLOOR SIX. (we also got sprout on floor seven which i had to painstakingly distract as tisha and somehow made it out alive with two hearts)
I started at the gigi update, and i have every single toon. (For now before the connie update.) If you grind hard, you can get there. Edit: thinking abt it, astro is easier despite his pricey ichor requirement. You dont need to conplete mastert on any toons for astro, and you just need to encounter dandy.

Btw, weird info, but I got twisted pebble’s on floor 5 while doing a normal run with a few other people, (all of them died except for me ;-;).
Also, js wanted to mention that in a run with only a few ppl, we found 3 bands and 1 med in the first 4 floors, which is insane in my opinion. Thx for reading, rate my luck outta ten if you’d like in the reply section!! ❤
actually I recommend going for mastery first then research since while mastering a toon for a main character u can get more research that way

Pebbles was the first twisted I ever encountered. Then afterwards all I saw was Vee. And I guess my rng was really high that week because I was able to get 100 on Vee and 89% before another main showed up now saving up I her and getting other requirements/mastery’s is another story for me. I’ve only been playing since November but I’m still not done getting the other twisteds besides Vee and pebbles lol

We got vee on floor 6 and got shelly on 9 and pebble and sprout on 11,(no astro yet)
After watching this video and trying to get a main myself I have so much more respect for people who got mains
watched this all through.. here’s what it made me do:
1. want a main
2. hesitate about what my first main should be
3. decides for astro
4. encounters astro for the first time
5. after a few months, finish astro’s research
6. grind for 5000 ichor
7. get 5000 ichor
8. buy astro in eagerness

I took four weeks trying to get Astro. With me having school during the week, and being kinda busy on the weekends, i did it, after *four whole* fudging weeks. I'm so glad i got the over with 😌

Today when i was playing dandys world on floor 9 I got sprout then on floor 13 I got Vee then on floor 15 I got the new main 😅😅

yesterday i was playing with my irl besties and tried a dandy run,, we proceeded to get dandy on FLOOR SIX. (we also got sprout on floor seven which i had to painstakingly distract as tisha and somehow made it out alive with two hearts)

I started at the gigi update, and i have every single toon. (For now before the connie update.) If you grind hard, you can get there.
Edit: thinking abt it, astro is easier despite his pricey ichor requirement. You dont need to conplete mastert on any toons for astro, and you just need to encounter dandy.
And get his research
I hope they nerf the requirement for mains like 50% research only
