Can we all agree on TWO THING? 1) Natasha is a natural at comedy and 2) this show needs to return, in the form of a mini-series or 2 hours major motion picture, in 2024 or 2025, depicting 5 to 10 years into the future for all characters. #realtalk
The maturity, elegance, sisterhood/brotherhood-friend maintaining, intelligence, outright good/badish, girlish-to-boyish folly, clumsily brilliant, strategically written depiction of the real-life pressures of the pursuit of adulting, sex, growth, relationships, transition and love was fully represented and ALL THAT WE NEEDED to see in A TV SHOW! It held our hands as we, even up to age 48, navigated through life in search of “wtf” do we do about this/do we do, now?” and HOW am I going to get it done? It was the evolution and update of “Girlfriends” that brought the coolest of “Boyfriends” along with it that Black woman/men needed and its absence is wholeheartedly felt! No other show will compare to this but it is my hope that another creative will come along in another 8-10 years and represent us in cable network television and remind the world that our greatness, although we may someone stumble into it is “effing” indisputable! #LongMayInsecureReign. #IssaMollyKellyTiffany #LawrenceHive #Chad&TheFellas #OneOfTHEBestShowsEVERCreated. #FlawlesslyCasted
I binge watched this in a week. I am Asian but many, many of the circumstances, script etc resonate with me. It was such an experience to see each character grows and with it, their relationship with each other. When I got to the last season it felt like I said goodbye to a bunch of really good friends- but it was such a beautiful closure for the audience. I can foresee myself rewatching this a few years down the line. Also. This show makes me want to live in LA, chase my dreams, and wear colorful beautiful outfits!!!!

I still don’t understand why they ended. No other show will ever do it for me. Insecure made it okay to be the awkward girl, made it okay to not be perfect. We need some sort of spin off, feel like producers are teasing us for something…
