THE SONG WE SING TOGETHER nearly 40 years apart

It has been my good fortune to spend a lifetime writing and sharing songs and stories. I believe more than ever that there is far more that unites us than divides us, that like it or not that we are all in this together, and that among the best places to find each other is in the stories we share and the songs we sing together. This song - THE SONG WE SING TOGETHER - was written for an eleven year old Jodie Buller. McCoy and I sang it and dedicated it to her at a concert on the University of Washington of Washington campus in 1984. Then in December of 2022 at the Big Room of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity we sang it to and for her again. This time the grandkids were there to hear it, to be part of it. A song that meant a lot when we first sang it. A song that feels more important and meaningful today.
