They didn't tour the US enough. That's why. They stayed in Europe and rarely came over here so not many people know about them here. They are popular out there though.
@@Eyeyamgod Man he had the stink face going almost from the start! That made me so happy. He seems like a tough nut to crack. Hopefully this means they will do more Skindred!
Seriously one of the best radio rock bands ever. Not a single bad album. Love this band. Saw them live during a snowstorm in the midwest. Like 10 people in the audience and they still gave it everything they had to put on a show.
Skindred are great. They've been on the UK metal scene for decades and they're constantly on tour, they never seem to stop. You can see these guys playing for 50 thousand people at a festival one week and the next week they'll be playing the local rock pub. They're the most down to earth guys too and their shows are always really positive. Benji (the lead) is a funny guy who just wants the audience to have a good time, and you always do at a Skindred gig. I think I've probably seem them live 15 times by now and I'll always go and see them when they're in town or playing at a festival I'm at.
Bro, I fucking love how Brad started smiling so hard that he had no where else to go but to start laughing lmao. That’s when you KNOW you’re enjoying something.
Lex, my love I'm not gonna lie you are such a vibe😂😂😂🖤 absolutely love you man. These guys play near me all the time and I'm lucky as fuck cause they're massively talented! Hope you all stay safe!😊😊 🖤
lol nice to see you guys checking out a local band. Skindred are from Newport in S.Wales and used to play at TJ's quite regularly which was where I misspent my youth. In fact I'm pretty sure this video was recorded in TJ's. Edit: actually looking at the video it looks more like 'Le Pub' :)
@@wick666... Me too, although at 49 I've moved to Blaenavon for a quieter life and so don't get the chance to visit the port as much as in my younger days when I lived in Cwmbran.
@@steveparker8065 I passed tj's the other day looks like it's ready to crumble into pieces although it's never looked new 🤣 I just remember the sticky floor
It was recorded in the old Le Pub the same room as the jarcrew reunion show was in. Speaking of TJ's I remember meeting a fella called Joe Talbot in there he's doing something big now from what I remember...
Omg! Lex u are too cute!! Loved watching u bouncing around abd u both digging this music! Tbh I’d never heard of this band or song and stoked u did this vid! I don’t think too many reaction vid do enough of this kinda genre! Appreciate u guys for doing this! Keep rocking out!!
This is one of my favorite songs ever. A track that I have from the very first mp3 player and later smartphones :) . It was the only Skindred song that I listen. I love it, such a vibe.
Dammm... People have mentioned these guys but I never pulled them up. Wow. Last time I had this big a grin on my face watching a new band was the first time I saw Pisces.
I had the pleasure of supporting these guys on their first album in a small village hall type venue in Surrey. Amazing times. Check out 'Nobody'. Then imagine it LIVE. Edit. I think this is the first time I've watched a reaction twice. Too funny.
Brand new Skindred single and music video just dropped! We’d love to see a reaction to this 🤩 Check out Skindred - Set Fazers official music video here: ua-cam.com/video/_TYTG2QmhKc/v-deo.html
Saw them live in Bogota, Colombia in 2012. Didn’t know who they were back then, but the energy and everything around the performance they give that night was just something I never experienced before from any band. And from that day they became one of my favorites bands. They’re amazing live. Incredible. Great reaction!
This is why I like watching reaction channels like this. Discovering new music and watching reactions to some of my favorite bands/songs. I have heard of the name but I don't think I ever really listened to anything from Skindred. Will check out more later, thanks!
Got to see these guys open for Seether 2005 Wingding Music festival in Rockford IL. Their energy stole the show. By far the most talked about performance that day. If you like this song you will LOVE the song "Nobody" by them...
Ah finally skindred! Yes skindred live is insane and people spin their shirts in the air. Haha crab Rangoon she's so cute bruh. Yall are my fav new reactors. Do more skindred!
I was so surprised when i saw your reaction to Skindred in my feed. Not many ppl heard of them, but they have bangers. Check song Nobody from them also, that's a classic :D
Skindred - Nobody is essential. Great Reggae/Groove Rock/Metal. While we are at it: Nanowar Of Steel - Norwegian Reaggaeton, although most references in that song probably go over your heads at this point. Still a really fun song even without "getting" it all.
Saw them in Edinburgh 2018, a stunning, funny and incredibly tight performance with stellar audience interaction with very good support from Bleed From Within, classic
Great band and great reaction. I love how analytical you are about everything, Brad, and how Lex quickly identifies the vibe and makes every song a bop. If you thought this was cool, you have to try Bad Brains next, then maybe some cool punk-ska like Mighty Mighty Bosstones or maybe Reel Big Fish's cover of "Take on Me"
I used to live in Bristol where they’re now based and I knew a few people who knew the band personally. I heard so many stories of people just hanging out and then Benji, the singer appearing out of nowhere, doing or saying some hilarious stuff and then just leaving to go about his business again. Super funny and charismatic guy, and one of the best live bands out there. Doesn’t matter which festival I’m at, with whichever massive artists headlining, Skindred are consistently the best performance of the weekend.
THEY ARE EVEN MORE AMAZING LIVE !!!! Blew my mind the first time I saw them - absolutely perfect description Lex "CRAB RANGOON" BWAHAHHAHAHAHA !!!!! Our girl is evolving into a true metal head !!!!!!
Love yalls reaction to this band. I love bands with mix-matched mashup genres. This one and Babymetal are my favorite examples of weird mashings that work
I've seen these guys live 8 or 9 times at this point, they play in my city every few years, then a few times at festivals etc. Always a good live show, not the biggest fan of the singer as a person, but the music is great. Met them a few times too as they're from not far from where I live.
While alot of folks poke fun at numetal this is a great example of why it was fun! There is actually alot of great bands in that genre. Hed.Pe, korn, limp bizkit,p.o.d, coal chamber, superheist. I think you guys will love the genre because it's a bit more chunky and groovy as opposed to just brutal. And lex really seems to enjoy thrash metal!
I saw skindred live twice, on a Tiny stage at warped tour in Ontario and a medium venue in Norwich U.K. they absolutely smashed both. Incredible live, up there with the best I’ve ever seen. Great video, would’ve like to see the reaction to the lyrics as well
If you like metal mixing with other style also check alestorm (pirate metal), bloodywood (india folk metal), Eluveitie (Celtic metal) or Amon Amarth (viking metal) 😅
Saw them live for the 3rd time this weekend. I love skindred. Please do more. Songs like “nobody” “fight the power” and “that’s my jam”. But they are even better live. Benji is THE most charismatic man on the planet
They are great live Benji is such a dope front man, so much energy and charisma. Nobody, That's my Jam, and their cover of Electric Avenue are must sees

Yeah ,the original video of the song
I would say Trouble over Nobody. And definitely their cover of Electric Avenue. Nobody gets repetitive towards the end even though it's a good song.

I'm 62 years' old. I've seen tons of bands/artists from many different genres live. I can honestly say that Skindred are my favourite live band.
