This is where black slime is properly introduced and where you get the boson darts. I'll explain what they both do now. Black slime is a hazardous form of ectoplasmic residue. Touching it will cause damage to you until you move away from it, and it can also become a portal, allowing ghosts, and some other entities to travel through them. Boson darts are tied to the proton accelerator, so equipping that will allow you to use it. The boson darts are extremely powerful, and have splash damage, so anything near it's landing point will also take damage. Firing a boson dart in combination with the proton beam will allow you to control it. Be careful, though. The boson darts are powerful enough to severely damage you, possibly incapacitating you if you're low on health, and will knock you off your feet without an upgrade if you fire one too close to a wall or enemy. They also instantly overheat your proton pack, forcing an automatic cooldown which will last longer than a manual one, and even with an upgrade that reduces the heat they cause, they still generate a large amount of heat, so use them wisely, and don't use them in close proximity unless you have to, and can take the damage.
Well, it's a licensed game based on a popular 80's movie done by a studio best known for developing quick cash ins and it received 'meh' reviews from most critics. It was simply doomed to be overlooked by the public. I also think it might have had a rather limited release, because I could never find it in stores new, not even at launch. But it is exactly as awesome as it looks. It's very linear and about 6 hours long if you go through it full steam, but it's well written, has lots of detail in both graphics and flavor texts, good level design and great shadow/light effects.

Could the super slammer muon trap on top of the Ecto-1 and the ecto containment unit at the Ghostbusters' firehouse HQ (headquarters) really be strong enough to contain a powerful god such as Gozer the Gozerian?
They'd probably make Gozer his own personal containment unit offsite. I mean given what Shandlor did at the HQ, would you trust Gozer anywhere near that much raw ghost energy.

Nothing, except give you a trophy for drinking from all of them throughout the game.
Instead of a trophy, the designers should've thought to have the water fountains give the player extra health.
