XM totally smoked Sideshow on this one 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Scale is definitely off 🤔
I think the Sideshow piece is way more modern. It has a better portrait, better movement-filled pose. And she is in the correct scale and the focus on the statue. It looks like she is going to mess with someone. The XM is great, but it is way oversized with a big, typical base. Her pose is also lame. The lifted leg looks dumb. The silver piping xm did was not a good idea. It ruins the piece for me. XM needs so much help with their portraits. They havent grown at all in that department. The Xavier piece also looks better on the SS. The xm already looks dated.

YOU thought that because folks ALWAYS parrot other folks complaining about pieces. This ART is made by humans so there will ALWAYS be flaws in some pieces. I NEVER listen to folks, I judge the ART for myself.
We would really appreciate a solid 1 - 10 ranking system. I think that would give statue fans a proper baseline in order to adequately gauge a prospective purchase.
That’s a great idea. I might not do 1-10 as there’s so many gray areas but 1-5 or A-F
@@TheXtremeChannelMrX I agree. You may never give out a 1 or 2 out of 10 or 100 but an F minus is more possible. Do any statues in recent memory rank as an F- or A+ as overall statues? Thanks Mr. X for taking the time to respond to your fans questions. I will be selective in the future with my statements as I know you're a busy man.
Sir Bubbles I would say My Custom Wolf Slayer is an F, Sideshow Lion-o is close. Hopefully I don’t buy too many F’s lol. A I have a ton. RCB Doom, Franco Surfer, P1 Mr. Freeze, and probably 10 more I can’t recall off the top of my head.

Congrats on OWNING both BEAUTIES. I prefer the SSC ART because the ART shows her POWERS. The XM piece is GOOD and both are an INSTANT upgrade to any collection. I own and have pre-ordered all the SSC XMEN pieces. My SSC Mystique had almost no flaws, there was a blemish on the back near the front boot. It would NEVER be seen during display. Juggernaut comes Wednesday so it was easy for me to want the SSC ART because the ART always looks better with the other pieces in a collection. ULTRA-THANKS for sharing. What a GREAT time to be a collector!!!
Both pieces are amazing. I lean towards XM due to the dynamic poses.
XM is my pick! Like the pose better and her skin color is better as well.

I definitely prefer the XM statue. I love the skin tone, pose, more revealing outfit, size and face. Blowing out the gun smoke makes Mystiques face look very sensual. Great design!
I like the XM one better. I like the darker paint more and I like how the base has some verticality to it with part of the mansion behind her. There are some cool things with the Sideshow version but overall if I could pick which one to have it would be XM even with the higher price but with that I like things on it more as well.

funny side by side comparison, i would choose this one from xm.
They're both great, and I'd love to own either one. At first look I gravitate towards XM, especially that belt, but there's something in the simplicity of the Sideshow statue, and the partial X-23 transformation showcasing her powers that put her higher on the list for me. Honestly you couldn't go wrong with either. As always great review!!

They're both great! XM just stands out a little more since the painting is more 'colorful'. I got the SS one and the differences doesn't warrant enough to get the XM too.
I really wish they showed some powers on this. Regret selling me SS EX, dagger is cool though
XM wins by a mile for a multitude of reasons imho. The color blue for sideshow is way off and kills it for me
To be honest I totally like XM better she had more going on but they are both very nice but if I was to choose it would be XM great video bud I'm a little late but I'm here

I would definitely say XM would win this Xtrumble for the pure fact XM looks more like the Mystique that I knew from the comics Sideshow not as much... The sideshow reminds me of the mystique in the dark Phoenix the lighter skin don't seem to work for ME.. but the XM reminds me of the Mystique from the first X-Men movie the darker skin curvature of the body like she's portrayed in most comics so with that I feel the XM had won Xtrumble
Like the XM way more,but I believe she is larger than 1/4scale for a female character.....
Apart from that, it's an awesome piece!
Hope someone will make a custom x23 arm for this pice! Than will be undisputed champion.

XM is wayyy better here. Sometimes, Sideshow surprises and wins, XM cleaned house here though.
I don’t think people realize that Mystique is 5’10 with out heels (marvel official website has heights and weights of characters). So with a 3 - 4 inch heels she would be around 6’1 to 6’2. So mathematically, XM technically is truer to size than sideshow.
Where I can get this black rotator for unboxing? Because I bought one from ikea but is not like that one

Seeing both, I would get the Sideshow due to showing her powers, scale and the face sculpt. XMs face sculpt looks like SS comiquette, Sideshows is more realistic.

I was torn between them myself. I liked the SS 'look' of the portrait and the X23 hand. Could have been more, half the body imo but still nice. I asked my wife, she loved XM better. due tot he colors and clothes, which I agreed. so I dug deeper and watched, read reviews. Apparently SS has MAJOR QC issues. very poor paint application. so that being the case, I'm getting SS. then will look for second market custom head or arm swap outs if they exist. Would like to see her next to Emma Frost and see the scale comparison, they could look great together.
Tough choice for sure but in that sense both are winners. I like the size, portrait, and display of power on Sideshow. I like the details and paint better on XM. I despise and have a hard time looking past a suppressor, on a revolver, with a character that is an assassin. (It can't work). Overall I'd give a slight edge to Sideshow. I really like the extrumbles. This is basically what most of us are doing anyway; trying to find the best piece, to represent our favorite characters in our collections. Every company seems to have a slightly different scale even if they are listed as the same so you just have to get past it. I prefer Sideshows scale generally because they take up a bit less space and fit better in my displays.

XM gets my vote! Concept and paint are superior. The XM is so vibrant that I'm sure it will take awesome photographs.
Tough one but I'd go XM with the dagger displayed.
Everyone is arguing that XM 'won' that battle. However, it's going to cost you more than double (in the states) and it's not even close to scale.

I'll take the piece that shows her power and that's why I prefer the SSC ART. Nicely Done, btw you might want to put both on a turntable use for size comparison. The pieces are about the same size but with 1 on the turntable you get the impression that the XM piece is BIGGER. We have all the SSC new XM pieces and the ART ALWAYS looks better with the other pieces. I will be getting my 1st XM piece this year and it's fitting that it's their new Spider-Man. I started our collection with the Spider-Man Premium Format piece from SSC. What a GREAT to be a COLLECTOR!!!
Great video and both pieces are great but aesthetically speaking the XM studio piece wins hands down.
Love the addition of the xtrumbles, great vid as always dude. Btw, XM is the clear winner imo. More vivid and contrasting colors make it pop, the attention to detail from the different colored rocks in the base to the chain belt is evident, and the long hair is a must. Not to mention the fact that her pose and body sculpt make her 1000X more sexy than SS's. Which is all that really matters in the end ;)
For a posing figure instead of an action, I feel XM studio has the better Mystic . For the price I think is why XM has given more options to change on the sculpt. So if you just wanted a mystic but money is a factor go with side show. I think the XM peace is a little sculpt so for that reason and the extra that comes with her. I feel xm wins the Mystic competition.
XM is cool and I know its on a bigger base as well but it looks huge compared to the Sideshow piece. The scale definitely seems off. I went and checked this out in person after seeing this and it is a little off but doesn't look that bad depending on where you have it displayed. It definitely seems worse next to the Sideshow Mystique.

Want the XM piece. Sideshow's looks bargain bin compared to it. Shame having to eat the extra shipping cost. Love how much bigger it is.

Man I wish I liked the Sideshow one better. Could have saved myself a lot of money by getting that one insted of XM. But no. I think the XM one is way better. Of course I haven't seen either one in person yet.
I’d rather pay the extra cash for XM’s. It’s a way better looking piece imo. The only benefit of Sideshow’s is being able to acquire it easier. Just my two cents. Awesome video ❌!👍🏾✌🏾
I agree, as phenomenal as XM looks, Sideshow showcasing powers, just tips the scales a tiny bit. Someone need to make a Mystique with a switch out upper/lower body, showing mid transformation.

I gotta give this one to Xm studios! The sculpt and the paint is exceptionally better than Sideshow's. Well worth a few hundred dollars more, especially considering the ES.

XM all the way wins this one, other then in value. I would love the XM Mystic but will sadly never get it probably.
Ignoring other factors and focusing solely on the scupt, ss is better. The artist behind ss mystique really did an amazing job, xm is good too but not on the same skill level. Felt like the review didn't give enough justice to the sculpt quality, where the ss version really shines over xm's; from its hair to face to anatomy.

seen on facebook that on the XM statue her left foot is actually floating and doesnt rest against the X base...looks really bad from what i saw on FB...your's seems to be sitting flush?

I like XM better however if I had to display with other X-men I’d have to go with Sideshow only because it would scale better, plus Sideshow is still a very nice piece.

XM Studios in my opinion, Sideshows skin tone is off, the face looks like a mans, and the revolvers have silencers.. which doesn't work..
the oversize scale wont hurt me coz i dont have the ss version to compare with 😏 but honestly the ss is also good just need a pro painter then ur good to go 😉 still waiting for mine. enjoy collecting guys have fun 😎
I think I would go with SS for the power display and the price point, but the XM does look really nice.

Sideshow I order from sideshow and XM Studios Specfiction. I will typically always state where I get licensed pieces from in each video.
I love comic book mystique no matter what studio does it however I'm tired of only poses of mystique. Give me a battle scene because she is known for being a straight killer Stop doing sexy poses.
Mysique is NOT 1/4 scale. I have Cable and he scales with Iron Studios Punisher and 1/4 Captain America from Sideshow. There should NOT be that big a discrepancy.
I'll always go with sideshow. Much easier to get. And you dont have to pay as much as the statue for shipping. And you dont have to wait 10 years to get it.

XM is better. The gold chain and the sport bra details is better. The stair based is better than just a circular flat based on Sideshow. You have long hair on XM option. XM pose a bit more dynamic than the Sideshow one...

Sideshow should not beat the XM, ever- it costs a heck of a lot more, they're in different price brackets. If Sideshow manages to be better at what, nearly half the price, the XM seriously screwed up!

XM for me but XM is out of my price range. I think the overall appearance of XM is better. SS just feels lacking. Not much base to compliment the piece is a huge turnoff for me.

I told myself I would never own an XM studios piece. So I’m rolling with sideshow on this one. Nothing wrong with them, just like she said, they are way too big.
If the rest of your X-men line is sideshow I don’t think the XM piece will scale good with the Sideshow. XM looks much bigger.
It’s mostly customs but the scale looks fine next to other pieces. I think SS is small.
XM wins because boobs.. bigger boobs.
