I hope so, as far as I see it, the animation team for episode 129 is going to be average. However based on how much time each episode is (1 minute), we can infer that by episode 130 is the last and only one minute left. I really really really hope in episode 130, the final fight's animation and art quality can be at its peak by the best animators. That one minute is going to feel intense! I also hope for an excellent storyboard, but still, I don't want to get my hopes up too much also.
Look Tate is not a bad animator. I heard people saying that they dislike the character art, but I don’t see a problem with it. Everything in this is so fluid and goes together so well. It’s one thing to say that it’s not your cup of tea but to say he’s a bad animator is foolish and uneducated
+Banksenx I don't particularly see the appeal of saying something fluid is automatically good. I like Tate, not because his necessarily fluid, but because he has an interesting sense of timing and dynamism to his animation and drawings on a whole;
@@muricaneagle666 but dragonball did started as a comedy and db is also a cartoon Well in the mind of westerns fans over the top detailed art=animation Since fluid/stretch (which an animation suppose to do) according to ur logic is "bad"
I just would like to help people understand, animation is mixing both art and movement you can't have one without the other, saying tate's art is bad makes him a shit animator is somewhat of a valid criticism but my problem is that I'm unable to find legitamently terrible art from him, maybe a little wonky art but not terrible like people started to say, lots of these insults are just bandwagonned opinions if you want to see the opposite of Tate look at Masahiro Shimanuki with bad movement and great art and most people will say 10/10, like idiots
DenZi Guy It takes far more talent to have good art and good animation than it is to have decent animation with garbage art. It’s pretty stupid and silly to say his art isn’t trash when every fan artist is better than him lol. I can understand the in between frames, but his garbage stillframes have no excuse.
Don't Bother that is something that I hate when people say "decent animation" there isn't that many people you can name that have better movement than him on the show, and also his still frames are not garbage with the lack of time he decides to make movement the priority as oppose to art there are plenty of examples of him with good art and animation, just look at Buu vs Basil he is perfectly capable. Lack of time doesn't warrant anyone to call someones art or animation garbage. (Sorry for sending a paragraph)
I am not Tate's biggest fan: I like the animation in terms of flow of the movements, but I think he ends up sacrificing too much details in terms of artwork.
+Simon D. Liebert I often hear this mis-conception, and although you could say it may have been true for his most rushed work on the series, like, when episodes were literally falling apart, Tate's character art isn't a result of him sacrificing detail for movement. Its more, he approaches his artwork with the view of how his artwork would best serve to enhance his movement.
+Frizen Again, not exactly. Say your an animator, that wants to make an extremely complex cut where the characters morph, say when they're doing a mid-air flip to the ground. The first thing you would consider is the shapes necessary to make the spin as effective as possible, you'd then only draw what was needed to achieve that best possible result. In this situation, adding excessive detail, would only hinder the exaggeration, so you simply wouldn't include those extra details, since they would only harm your work. That's kind of what I mean when I say his artwork is done in service of his animation.
+Frizen Again, a lot of those changes in art style are necessary, because the sort of movement I'm describing isn't supported by the character designs(which are stiff and rigid, and don't really support one single approach to animation). So deviating from them is absolutely necessary to portray the type of movement I'm describing. I would say the new movie designs would far better support different animators approach to animation, in comparison to the current designs. I would say, that if Tate were to animate on the movie, his style wouldn't be as at odds as it is with Supers designs.
@@jazzmazz9214 you were right. too bad Tate himself didn't animate as much as I would've liked. Broly repeatedly beating on Freeza was pretty fun at least lol

ANIME mean ANIMATION in japanese language. Anime is a cartoon, but with unique characteristic (for japanese anime) artstyle. Sometimes Tate artstyle is.. weird in Dragon Ball, because this series has a characteristic anime artstyle.
He’s getting nerfed by yamamuro though so he cannot do whatever he want but if it was a one piece episode that would’ve been very cool in the next movie i’ll sure get an good highlight ´cause the style of the guy who’s supervising the movie as a more soft and less complicated charadesign
It's quite sad that western fanbase thinks that over detailed art=animation (Which is not true) Squish stretch fluid that's what an animation suppose to do And by way art and animation are different
The special thing about Naomi Tate is that his animation is just smooth and has clean frames

Pharaoh M whoops mispelled it
The Blue transformation by Yong Ce-Yu was godly!
El mejor trabajo de Naoki Tate en la serie si dejamos de lado el especial de 1 hora, y sobre Tu Yong-Ce... Magistral, como siempre

Kou Music 129 had Karasawa and Nii, how is that average?
Gamer_ 267 TBH it's either Tate and Takahashi or it's Shida. Shida's style doesn't really work with other people's.
