I love these videos this is stuff you never get to see up close and personal since this shit is like some giant secret. We all know the electronics etc are going to be kept quiet and im cool with that but it would be nice to see the whole bike what kind of things they have that aren't on production bikes etc etc
To many buttons. I love watching current Motogp, but nothing beats the days of King Kenny and those monster 2 strokes. Throttle, brakes and hard riding !
Hehe tell that to the F1 drivers of today xD. I feel you though, the ol' legends only needed throttle, brakes, shifting, and like you said, hard riding! I get that advancing technology is sweet and all, and they are making nothing short of pure monsters as bikes, but there's something about that unassisted, pure, raw power. Eh, here I am rambling about the past again xD
maybe, but I want faster and way faster bikes (or cars for car racing motosport) each year. That's why they use so much technology. The up side they're much faster than they used to, the downside not every team can make same level of technology so the racing is not that competitive as used to.
diazzsama " the downside not every team can make same level of technology so the racing is not that competitive as used to." People that say that probably haven't watched GP Racing very long, or forgotten how it really was. The racing now is on average more competitive than the vast majority of years. We have 6 bona fide factory teams as it stands. How quickly people forget the long periods of absolute Honda domination, or the MV Agusta domination that lasted almost two decades. Hell, being a privateer in the '80s-'90s meant you could get lapped 3 times in the race. Nowadays the top 15 qualifies within the same second. It's about the tightest field that has ever been.
true it was more raw and maybe different skills were needed to be competitive compared to todays riders but seriously motogp has improved as a whole and is still (mostly) as exciting to watch as it ever was..... what with the advances in tyres, suspension, chassis, electronics and new riding techniques that have been able to develop due to those advances the racing is closer than it ever was.....plus less riders die or suffer serious injuries which is great...
mine has a start button and a switch for blinkers. there's also a button for a horn somewhere but I removed my db killer so I've never really tried it. gotta love the early 90s.
The flash for my '07 R1 from superbike unlimited offered reduced engine braking as an option. I chose not to but they alter the stock set up anyhow as part of the deal. You notice it at the very bottom of the rpm range. Fully closed throttle but the computer controls the FBW sensor to leave it a hair open until around 3k and then shuts them fully dramatically increasing the engine "braking" effect. Would be tits to have a button to do it on your command.
Once upon a time, MEN rode bikes with spaghetti frames, narrow wheels with tyres did more to protect the rims than provide grip. The pit crew and tech support could all fit in a 4 door car along with spares tools and luggage.Power came in bands a few thousand revs wide and high tech came in the form of electronic ignitions and nothing else. Now we have movie stars.
Parece un vídeo juego, pero difícil estar pilotando, sentir las emociones, la velocidad, concentrarse en no caer, en frenar bien, acelerar y luego los botones.😱
where is the button to soften the monoshock settings during bumpy road??? also the nitro boost button??? they missed those 2 important strategy buttons!
The pattern is reversed (1 up, 5 down) and there is a device called a "quick shifter" which allows for gear changes without having to close the throttle or use the clutch. (Well not until coming to a full stop, or starting from a full stop) Transmissions are still sequential. 1 push or pull on gear selector changes up or down 1 gear at a time
if you use a flash tune ECU you can adjust the engine braking...the trickdown of tech just has not yet come to the point of showroom bikes with a need for engine braking as an option. get yourself a standalone ECU and you to can have the power of the aliens!
Mappings are like a combination of modified settings for different situations, for example the power button might change the ignition timing and fuel/air intake etc. When you put the bike on a dyno it will draw different graphs with different settings which kinda look similar to alternate paths drawn on a map, I think that's where the term mapping comes from. Others see: strategy button
What i see: ps4 controller
That’s true. 🤣🤣🤣
hey where is the nos button .....
they can't use nos because if the bike crashed the bottle might rupture and blow up the whole track
☣droid☣ you must be fun at parties
hahahahahahahahaha. No, that's not how that works. The reasons they don't use nitrous oxide are many, but "blowing up the whole track" is not one.
Maybe it's because there's too many turns on the track? But we do see people put nitrous oxide on the quarter drag race, right?
It's a joke guys, you're over analyzing it.
Is there a button to stop Irwin knocking you off ?

wish we had more videos like this.
Thanks! As a rider I've wondered what and how these fellas are using those buttons for... 👍😎✌️
And over here, you have the drag knee button.
cheers scott, good heads up! do the pit boards display what you should be pressing? as well as what you feel for the bike in a race?
Lord skill of the sport becoming build into the machine, fascinating!
@irlan hakim que Pasa
Do you even have time to look at the screen when traveling at higher speeds?
they practice until you wont need to think anymore, they even calculate the fuel consumption. but in the race its all about your instinct.
bobobobobobobobob
I like that
I fucking read it as he says it
Like it
similar to the buttons on my Nintendo controllers
I 😍 Love that Engine 🚀 braking Button!! Insane..... Need this😎
Do you know when you long press the Power button the engine turns off...

Where's the flying mode button? Rocket launcher? Fog maker?

Piedras Platas 😂When you push it all riders need to stop and get together for a cuppa tea and a sticky bun👌
Sitting on a line along the apex, enjoying the view. =D

Which button do u press to go back to BSB on a 2 year old Kawasaki
So Nice scott this is thefirst time , I am seeing the machine this close . tnx buddy
mine has a start button and a switch for blinkers. there's also a button for a horn somewhere but I removed my db killer so I've never really tried it. gotta love the early 90s.
Can someone tell me where the speedometer is located?
Tnx Scott & Pramac. I wanted to google that the other day. Then this video came out :D
So which one is the party button? Or is it only Repsol Honda who has it?
I always like to play my pass by light and horn and feel like moto gp rider with all the button.. 😁

great explanation Scott, very interessting infos!

I can’t tell if you are serious
Lmao, sure thing grandpa
He gives good interviews.
what does the letter A-B-C mean?
A . high
B. Medium
C. Low
And there is my bike where m happy with hazard light switch🤣
This explains how they can shift 2-3 gears down with less rear wheel sliding then get the optimum power when exit the corner...
Wrong
No I think that has more to do with the seamless gearbox
bro that one is already automatic through traction control
Parece un vídeo juego, pero difícil estar pilotando, sentir las emociones, la velocidad, concentrarse en no caer, en frenar bien, acelerar y luego los botones.😱
This video pushes my buttons :)
where is the button to soften the monoshock settings during bumpy road??? also the nitro boost button??? they missed those 2 important strategy buttons!
What about on the right side.? I see a silver lever which i saw jack push it before push the kill switch
I race at the track a lot...Where can I purchase this for my Ducati corse?!
You can have more power with less fuel? 🤔
If so, then I am confused as to how the bike adjusts its power by not relying on fuel adjustment.. 😅
maybe depends on air density, umidity, temperature, or maybe it has multiple adjustment at certain rpm
Do GP bikes have manual shifting or sequential shifting?
The pattern is reversed (1 up, 5 down) and there is a device called a "quick shifter" which allows for gear changes without having to close the throttle or use the clutch. (Well not until coming to a full stop, or starting from a full stop)
Transmissions are still sequential. 1 push or pull on gear selector changes up or down 1 gear at a time
Can someone explain to me whats done mechanically when changing the map for engine braking?
Different positions on the electronic throttle body I assume.
RaphaelYC It probably has to do with the slippery clutch "or anti hoping"
bacorable that's going to do jackshit in a engine brake type of situation...
It changes the position of the throttle body butterfly's, more open or more closed
RaphaelYC An anchor shoots out the back end before a parachute
He’s an angel, a real life angel
Soo witch button do i press to go left?
Where's the Nitrous oxide button when passing on the straightaway ???
great insight thank you so much for this informative video
What do we call this buttons I want to buy these
Wonder where they keep the, "drag elbow button"
Awesome video!
That's nuts I could t even imagine...
Bring redding back
I surche This for me Bike !!!!
This is Magnetti Marelli right ???
How does that engine brake work?
Which one is the wheelie button!!
Does this bike have mapping 8?
thank you so much for traditional Arabic✌👍🍁🌻🏆
That's a great piece of information...
That concentration is god level
But how do you communicate with the pit crew while riding
Pitboard
Where is the noz button and missiel button?
Well Next time im Close to one. Put Everything On A. And Goooo
Wowww.. Thanks for sharing, Scott.. And Good luck on your every race..
where is button to fly and for parachute??
0:48 my favourite one

Where high beam light?
Yes, but does it go to 11??
I wonder how long he's spent in Italy. You can hear it a bit in his accent and in the way he structures some phrases.
Amazing technology 🤩
What grips are those
is there a wifi on ur bike ?
it has its own Netflix subscription too
Now I'm ready to race in motoGP 🏁😎
Where's the button for rossi mode?
thanks, im just learning to balance
Tfank you very much Scott !
how does it alter the engine braking?
slight open throttle
Why no side mirrors?
It's fun to see peeps in the comments bellow, arguing over launch control "disappointing them" while they probably haven't even seat on a moped yet.
damn wish consumer bike have those especially the engine breaking part
dude watch the vid, the switch has mode which lessen the engine breaking according to your liking
if you use a flash tune ECU you can adjust the engine braking...the trickdown of tech just has not yet come to the point of showroom bikes with a need for engine braking as an option. get yourself a standalone ECU and you to can have the power of the aliens!
just let go of the throttle and it's "engine BRAKING" not engine BREAKING, unless you want to lose the race
Engine brake, don’t they just let the clutch out whilst in gear like everyone else?
Insightful! Much respect!
these bikes are insane
thanks dude now I can win in motogp not game real life
What is the mapping 8
This is the new tmax 530??
For some reaaon I was expecting the red button to be a boost mode you could only use three times during the race.
What does MAP stands for can someone educate me
Mappings are like a combination of modified settings for different situations, for example the power button might change the ignition timing and fuel/air intake etc.
When you put the bike on a dyno it will draw different graphs with different settings which kinda look similar to alternate paths drawn on a map, I think that's where the term mapping comes from.

Thanks for sharing. Awesome
On a serious note: Where is the clutch lever?
It’s there behind the handle bar but it’s a shorty lever..
It is hard to see..
Komm in die GP zurück Scott!!!!!
this guy is cool as hell
Very interesting. Thanks you.
He used his "Go to BSB and WorldSBK button"
How to install this one
If the insane riding isn't enough to keep you busy lets add and bunch of buttons to fiddle with while your at it.
Great video.more,more,more...:)
Funny how almost all of those controls are standard on liter bikes nowadays but just looks more confusing than it really is.
