Great review, thanks. I was going for a Makita or DeWalt originally but happen to see this one on sale at Lowes. Was the last one and a little hesitant due to never owning a Bosch. Just got it yesterday and haven't used it yet but your review as well as some others have put my mind at ease.
I’ve been setting up with the Milwaukee M18/M12 system and a 2pc kit that contained this came along used for a great price. The size and power of this will probably have me satisfied enough to not have to step into the smaller M12 Fuels for my cabinet hardware and small project needs.....as fine of tools that those are. These seem to be more comfortable for me anyways and my M12 investment dollars will be with the other niche M12 tools I’m thinking.
@concordcarpenter great review, have you had a chance to test or review the Rockwell 3rill? I am trying to decide between it and the Bosch 12v combo that includes the driver you reviewed (ps21) and the impact driver (ps41). Let me know.
Awesome video! I plan on getting this but want to see how it will compare to dewalt's new 10.8 volt tools. I want the ps31 (regular chuck version) too.
I do not understand why the unit has a dual position speed control, when it also has a speed control in the trigger. Why not eliminate the dual position switch and merely use the trigger to control speed? Seems like the switch is redundant. And I can't find anywhere that says which end of the 1-20 range is high and which is low. I can't feel a difference between them when I grab the piece that holds the bits. The manual goes into almost no detail on the clutch or the switch, leaving me somewhat lost.

The light is very useful - does not bother me. Tape works
