SYND 17 5 79 TANZANIAN TROOPS ADVANCE ON LIRA

(18 May 1979) Tanzanian and Uganda government troops preparing to advance upon the Northern Ugandan town of Lira where troops loyal to the ousted Dictator Idi Amin tried to put up a last stand. Also shows actual attack on Lira and exchange of gunfire between the loyalists and Tanzanian troops.
