It's really touching that Xiang Liu didn't do anything and let him. It was very sad that in the end the arrow pierced his heart. It hurts that Xiaoyao hates him 😢❤❤❤
They've changed it a looooooot 😡😡😡 only thing they didn't change was XL's death at the end. There were so many details that have been deliberately skipped by the makers which would have clearly proved XY's inner conviction to XL. It's just that TJ was the perfect option for having a peaceful life that XY always dreamt of.....which is why both XL and XY kept denying their feelings in front of each other....!!!! They kept hurting each other with sharp words breaking each other's hearts into pieces....as per novel when XY hears about his death at her marriage party, she literally bleeds from her mouth, goes numb, cries out in pain and even TJ leaves her alone....when she finds out that XL had removed all his memories from her mirror she goes insane, starts shouting looking at the moon....here they've just skipped out all these moments just to interpret the lovestory in favour of TJ and the MAKERS THEMSELVES 😂😂 TERRIBLE WORK BY THE MAKERS.. ONLY THE ACTORS HAVE DONE THE JOB UNDOUBTEDLY ESPECIALLY XIANG LIU ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I totally agree. They’ve changed way too much. Her love for XL was a lot deeper in the novels vs the tv show. I understand that it’s difficult to do a complete adaptation of such a big novel and so things are bound to change or get excluded jut I feel like they’ve left out and changed a bit too much in the show. Despite that I still think the set and the acting is superb. All the actors did such an incredible job. Hats off to them. The casting is so on point.
@@Kukkitokeki exactly...the actors especially Xiang liu and Cang Xuan are outstandingly brilliant...but what made me angry is exclusion or a bit inclusion in the story was acceptable but excluding the main details to give it a total different interpretation is never acceptable and makers did that only... I'm literally frustrated with their work 😂
As long as the author of the main story isn't bothered about it/ gave permission, then it's fine. After all, it's all fiction and there isn't a law that's says producers must strictly follow the novels plot.

The thing is when the makers are portraying a story straight from a novel where even the name of the onscreen story has been kept the same, each one of the characters have been placed , common sense says it's just not a drama "inspired" from the novel but it's the SAME NOVEL JUST BEING PLAYED ON SCREEN. So if they're following a novel chapter by chapter, they have to give it the same interpretation that the novel gave us. Otherwise they're simply manipulating the story, in that case they should have told in advance that it's just a story inspired by the same Novel but not the same story itself! And coming to the author having no problem is NONE of my CONCERN 😂 I, as a reader of the book found it's onscreen play to be deviated and changed in way too much, hence shared my view on that. People can disagree with that. 😊

If you like the novel so much, it's still out there. Continue reading it and don't bother with the series. Plus imagine the number of episodes that will be created just to please one viewer on the net and breaking China's laws on the number of episodes a c-drama is to have. I liked jing at first season but liked xiang liu as well even more ! In 2nd season i was really rooting for Cang Xuan ! His acting was superb that got me really heart broken in each episode ! So basically i loved Cang Xuan and Xiang Liu at the end ! And both their stories was so sad One died so painfully without xiaoyao knowing his love and his sacrifices for her ! And Cang Xuan for failing to get the only one he cared for he basically got everything but lost the only person he wanted ! He remained all alone by the end !
Cang Xuan story is really like dat of d ruler of d world,he has everything but doesn't have d one thing he cares about "Love"just like d "The kings woman"
The death of xiang liu was so sad ! And her not knowing what he did for her even after the drama ended broke my heart ! The story of cang xuan was also so sad for me ! He got everything yet he lost her forever! Him giving her the flower and confessing his feeling at the end broke my heart ! He only loved her but lost her ! So basically the drama named after Cang Xuans story of him losing her ! His story and Xiang Liu's story were both sad ! Although she ended up with jing and got her happiness but i kinda didnt feel happy yet sad and heart broken!

Extremely painful to watch XL. But what I hated the most is the makers have changed the storyline soooooo much EXCEPT the ending. There were so many incidents and moments between XL and XY before his death !!! They'll spend time in the middle of the sea again where they'll both encounter the demon who once survived in that deadly prison of wolves....then one last time XL will bite her NECK again...yes...the neck and the same place in the neck to take in her blood....and XY will not stop him.... they'll have their moments....then finally the war and the attacks will begin.... after so many beautiful times only the episode comes where XL takes advantage of the lovers bug and traces Fenglong and Cang Xuan and attacks with a deadly arrow poisoned with his own blood bud unfortunately Fenglong will save Cang Xuan sacrificing his own life.... after that only XY and XL will have their last encounter....where she'll totally misunderstand him to be cold heart demon, and XY, as usual will play villain to convince her that what she is thinking about him is correct 💔💔 later when at her marriage party XY will hear the news of XL's death, SHE WILL LITERALLY BLEED FROM MOUTH.... SHE'LL GO NUMB as per the NOVEL....EVEN TJ will leave her alone!!!! At that night she'll anxiously try to find out the memories of her and XL in her mirror, and on not getting it , she'll become madly restless!!! She'll cry out in pain, she'll literally go angry at XL!!! All these things have been completely omitted by the makers, all they did is to illogically glorify the COME BACK of TJ and a nonsense happy ending ...XY will leave for the dead Islands which she once asked about, to XL. She'll be proved it with all her expressions of pain that she loved XL as well... it's just that XL never let her be confident with the thoughts..just the damned fate!

fantastic drama … my only complaint is in the earlier episodes when xaioyao and jing were a couple again they never had any kiss scenes .. throughout the drama there was only two kiss scenes what a shame they had wonderful chemistry as well … but i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed this drama …
Actors did good especially XL. The show was disappointing though there were hardly scenes between XY and XL, ( I hear they were cut) the ones we got were ruined cause TJ would just appear, I think that caused me to start disliking TJ despite him being good and all. oh! And the fact that XL kept sacrificing... I mean... The last straw was when XL died they just showed XY grief for a few minutes... I wonder what happens to chubby after XL is gone... It would be nice to get a sequel for XL and XY but I know it's not gonna happen
When cang xuan killed tushan jing and xiaoyao jump in river uff I cried a lot 🥀💔........and know tushan is back or its the illusion of xiaoyao I don't understand 😢🥺
I love Xiang Liu the most💚, he suffered a lot, saving Xiaoyao too many times from the brink of death, and teaching here things that make her happy from loneliness and depression etc.😢
I was waiting for the second season because of Xiang Liu, why Xiaoyao's love interest is Tushan Jing, I am not getting it, my heart is in pain after seeing him dead, why ? Why? She never loved XL or knew of his love for her cos her heart has always been occupied by Jing. Nothing was going to change that. If CX couldn't change it how much more XL. Why would XY choose someone who was violent, abusive and angry over the man that loved her through it all and never changed. The ending is as perfect as it could possibly be.
