  • Whoopsie, I didn't notice that game audio was not on...
    Sweet new golds but a horrible base. I need to look into if/how I achieve a sub 20min run. That is my goal, but even with these juicy golds I cannot see myself getting there yet.
    some high-/lowlights:
    0:50 fastest UFO mission so far
    7:25 Snakemen base assault with a sneaky Chryssalid. It was pretty bad.
    24:10 Cydonia missions were both a 1-turner, which brought me a 38s improved gold split.

    What's with these terror sites, you go there and abort the mission immediately? Why is that better than not responding at all?

      Basically the mission score is only -300 to -400 when I go there & abort the terror mission. While when I ignore it completely the score is -1000. And if I have 2 months with total score -900 or even worse then the game is lost. Therefore I go there and take a small time loss to be safe from losing.

      @@happycamper4862 Yeah, I was wondering how you could be so fast because the battles take so long and if you don't fight you'll lose main campaign because other countries get overrun. And ... I guess you chose such a remote location so you don't get attacked yourself very often? Because that's a battle you can't skip

      @@Puschit1 I basically choose the Antarctica as a base location because the arctic UFO mission terrain is very open. No buildings, no hills. Therefore you have less obstacles to get to the UFO and spot aliens from afar. The downside is that some of those locations are impossible to finish, because this terrain has lakes which you can't walk on. Sometimes the tiles are arranged that no walkable path remains to the UFO. It's a flaw that I accept and just reset the run (it's only 2min lost). The large UFOs attack the human base independent of location. iirc it's mostly dependent on how many UFOs you have shot down.
