@BigDaveO369 I know that, then he went back down to NXT and was doing great. Then, they called him back up, did nothing of significance with him, then released him. He should have stayed in NXT if there weren't any plans for him, same with Dijak.
@@BigDaveO369I actually didn't mind Baron Corbin. He actually added something different but your correct, he could have been used better, same as Chad Gable atm
I'm skimming through the whole thing right now, any idea the time area he speaks about this?? Or where did you hear that from? Sounds like something that could definitely happen though
It’s funny because that puts hardcore fans in a tough position because they swear by CTE and their doctors, especially with that one guy who did what he did in 2007 but they love Corbin and think he was “held down” so they don’t know how to react to what he did.
Got to meet Baron/Tom back when he was in NXT in a small show in the middle of nowhere Florida. He was so cool and spent time talking to me about starting wrestling and how he liked the wrestling that where I am from is famous for. Really awesome guy and one of my favorite conversations I've had with any wrestler.
Baron Corbin should get into acting, especially comedy. He’s got a real knack for it. Whatever he does, I will be rooting for him dude is really talented at whatever he does. He’s also a pretty damn good cook.
Didn't watch him in NXT too much, but I've always liked the guy. He has a certain energy about him, he knows who he is and what he's about and it's compelling. Great interview as always CVV!
WWE only got better in the past 2-3 years in terms of everything. Before and during that time, Corbin was the dude that made anything look good and seamless. He put people over, he went along with all the creative directions the company gave him and he exuded authenticity in his body of work. Dude was truly underrated, underutilized and underappreciated.
He was getting over so much as a babyface during that Sad Corbin run, it didn't make any sense that he was suddenly rich and turning heel again. We liked seeing his personality. He could have had a multi year run as an upper mid card guy at that time, but they squandered it. I hope he has a lot of success outside of WWE and goes anywhere but AEW (they don't know what to do with the guys they have). Wouldn't be surprised to see him back someday, he deserves another shot.
He is such a good well spoken guy I can never see heel baron corbyn the same again. He is so relatable and just down to earth thank you for your time baron and thank you for making this happen Chris I hope to see you make it into some movies and do what you set out to do baron!
I still have my Corbin Lone Wolf Tee from the beginning back in NXT. He always seemed to put his all in no matter what he was given to work with. Always felt he was rather underrated. Seems like a really nice guy, too.
As a Kansas City native, I love how passionate he is about the city! We don’t have many celebrities from KC but all the ones we do have truly seem to love the community.

Stellar interview! Can’t wait to see what Corbin has up his sleeve next! I was at MITB and the preceding SmackDown and his dark match was phenomenal! I was one of those people chanting his name!
Corbin is one of those talents that I wasn’t ever big on, but saw the potential and talent. I really wish he’d not been released, he did his job well and I wish him the very best. Really enjoyed this interview.👍🏾👍🏾
This guy took every awful gimmick on paper and turned it into gold. You could also tell that he would improve week after week from NXT and into the main roster. He really was a good utility guy in WWE, and I cant wait to see what he does next. Really overall underappreciated talent.
20:20 He’s not making this up at all, went to a Smackdown about a month before his release and he had a tag team dark match before the show opened. Crowd went absolutely crazy for Corbin
Man Corbin for me is and was the epitome of hard worker, i remember boo'ing him so loud at nxt in houston years ago, he even yelled back at me you suck just like your rockets do and got a pop from the crowd.. i went from not liking him early on to being an absolute HUGE fan of his. He made me take my boo's and shove em. He continually worked, continually got better and truly became one of the better guys wwe had to offer. I was really hoping for a bigger and better push for him whenever the lone wolf slightly resurfaced. Just want Baron to know that he made me a believer and a huge fan over the years, and its also because of his interview with you last CVV, that ive started wearing and collecting watches again. Got an Armani one the other day working up to a Rolex!!!
Like I said under one of his more recent food posts on IG, I would love to see Tom be a guest on a food network (flavour network here in Canada) show. If any of you reading have seen the new show Chasing Flavour with Carla Hall (if you haven't seen it, you're missing out on something interesting.) that can be something I could see him fitting right in.
I think Baron Corbin is one of the most underrated WWE super star. He is great in ring and I always love his gimmicks. I really wished he would win the 2025 Royal Rumble but WWE released him and like a lot of people I was shocked. I wish him the best.

I'm sure it was Shawn that didn't like him
I always liked Baron Corbin, even when I didn't. It still boggles my mind that he was called up just to get released. I thought he was there for life.
Me as well the problem with him Is how Vince booked him not as good heel heat but more os gets out of my TV screen heat
He wasn’t called up just to get released. He was on the main roster for years. They just booked him bad anytime he had any momentum.
