I love this, I need to get a box or bin to put in my car. I'm always forgetting my reusable bags because they're not in the car when I need them. I've got a ton in my pantry but they're not helping the environment in there! lol Great video, thanks for sharing!
Aww yes please do try it! I kept forgetting my bags too until I started doing this. It's better for the environment and your wallet (at least here)! Stores charge from 5-10 cents per bag here and I refuse to pay that. On the flip side, some stores will pay you that amount per bag you bring in that they use for your items. Thank you so much for watching! 😃
@@TheFrugalMinimalist Well I like paper bags their recyclable and plus when your frying meat you can put your meat on those paper bags instead of paper towel and also you can use em when you want to make popcorn when you want to seasoned them and also when your wanting to fry some chicken or certain meat you can put flour and certain seasoning into the flour and pur your meat and shake those bags are pretty useful and you can also use em as your car trash bags cause they dont take up much space.
Domestically Driven , using reusable bags still need to become a rehearsed habit. I’ve the bags, they’re in my car, and that’s where they stay more often than I’m proud of. I’ll get to the checkout and realize I didn’t bring in the bags!
For the flimsy bags I wait until I get a cardboard box, then cut a rectangle out of it to fit the bottom of the bag. Sometimes I wrap the cardboard in a plastic bag to keep it from getting wet. Now I have a bag that has a sturdy bottom. The sides do still collapse in but by holding one handle your can easily get food into bag.
Gasp! Love this. I’m going to fold like mine today because I just have a bunch stuffed inside the other. Now I know this is bad, very bad, but sometimes I still have plastic grocery bags because I always forget my cloth ones. I save then too. I roll them into balls until I can use them for something because I don’t just want to throw them in the garbage. I’m going to try and fold them too lol. Glad you connected. I’ve hit your bell too because I know I’ll enjoy your content
Thank you, Drea! I watched a number of your videos today you're such a riot - I legit laughed in each of them just as you promised. I'll bet if you fold bags you can do 30 in 10 mins easily. 🤣 I'm so glad to have found you and thank you so much for your support!
I use the bag with the fruit pics as freezer organizer.. I have a chest freezer. Not amazing .. but at least it has a handle making it easy to pull out
I'm glad you liked it! I was so excited to share I couldn't wait until I had good lighting so the lighting is bad in the video. Thank you so much for your support and for watching! 😃
This was helpful. I also live in a county where we also get charged for bags. This will help me organize my reusable bags at home and when going shopping.
I fold up my bags to a smaller fatter square “package” leaving the handles out. I secure the packaged bag with a large rubber band around each one so that I can carry them on my arm while shopping or just hook the empty bags onto the cart handle. When I’m ready to fill up my bags with groceries, I unfold the bag and drop the rubber band inside for next time. They take up a different space than your konmarie method, but still remain manageable when stored in my car door panels. I might try using a box to corral them in my car like you do here.
This is so interesting, Lin! I’ve never heard or seen the technique you’re describing but I think I have a visual of it thanks to your great description. I’ll definitely be googling to try to find your technique. I like the idea of being able to carry or hook them on to something! The box works well for me to keep them together and to keep their shape. Thank you for your great educating comment and for watching. I hope you’re having a great weekend!
This is such a great idea!! I have so many of these bags and they are kinda just stuffed in the coat closet or our truck😳We're defiantly going to implement this ASAP!! And the nicer bags i believe are a coated canvas. I love those! Also I really like your nails!!
Sweet! I'd love to hear how it works out for you. And thanks for telling me the name of those bags! 💕 thanks for noticing my nails too! Lol they're usually horrible because I'm a nail biter. 😰 Thanks so much for watching!
I used to forget them too before this. I hope you can find a box. It doesn't have to be fancy at all. Even a free cardboard box from a warehouse store would work great! Thanks so much for watching! 😃
I like that it organizes the bags and makes them easier to take to the store. My next thought is to make it easier for baggers to access and use in the grocery store.
It does make it easy to take in. If there are baggers, then I'll try to open them before handing the bags to them. Most of the time these days I'm bagging the items myself 😅
I’m so glad it could help! It’s amazing how one little box can corral all these normally unruly bags 😂 I hope it works out for you and I hope you’re having a great day!
You’re very welcome! If I may suggest, one thing that helped me to not forget is to put them back in the car when I’m done unloading at home. Just a thought! 😃
So glad to hear! I hope it ends up working for you! The box doesn't have to be fancy at all just big enough for the bags. Thank you so much for watching 😃
Great video! Question: do you wash your bags? I do wash my reusable bags because sometimes products can leak and if not washed the bag becomes like a Petri dish 😊. Thanks again!
Totally agree! I also have smaller nylon fabric totes that fold up into 2x3 inch covers that I keep in my purse for unexpected shopping. These wash so well in my regular laundry and dry quickly. someone who likes to sew could upcycling an old nylon rain hoodie into a dozen shopping bags like these. They store very nicely in a small footprint and are so lightweight in my purse!
Hi Maria! Yes I do wash them sometimes but probably not as often as I should. 😅 The paper plastic type bags get wiped down with alcohol or vinegar and the cloth type bags go through the normal wash but not the dryer! Thank you for your kind words and for watching. I hope you’re having a great weekend!
Hi Lin that’s a great tip on nylon bags! I like how you keep one in your purse I should start doing this too. I don’t have any nylon bags in my life yet but they sound wonderful! Thank you for the great tip and for watching. I hope you’re having a great weekend!
These make fantastic Christmas packages too, w just a bow on the handles for framily and friends. Also, I can wrap mine up like the old fashioned rain bonnet and put them in my purse so they are handy. Great video.
That would make a lovely package and very useful as well. Great idea! I love how you can fashion a bonnet from a bag. That is super impressive! Off to google that now 😂. You're full of great knowledge and I thank you so much for sharing with me and those who read the comments!! 🙏
What about the bags with plastic inserts for the bottom? I’ve tried different methods to store them. In the bag - it doesn’t fold small and neat. Beside the bags is clunky. Not using them was awkward for some products. Any ideas?
That is a great question! I’ll give it some thought and let you know if I think of anything. I’ve always taken those out to use for crafts or a writing pad for my son. 🤔
I just knew someone clever would be able to help me fix my messy bag cabinet! Thanks!!
Plus, now I will ALWAYS keep a bunch in my car!!
I hadn't thought of putting the handles inside the bag. Great tip! It will definitely make the bags look flatter and neater. Thank you for sharing.

@@TheFrugalMinimalist Just in case you should have a lid on them to keep bugs and dirt off them..

I put in a big bag, all the small ones in an insulated bag. But I like what you did. So neat and organized. Thank you 😊👍
That big bag sounds like a great alternative! Anything to keep those bags handy. 🙌. Thank you very much for watching and I hope you have a great day!

This is genius, thank you for this great tip! I especially like the easy open/fill aspect of this. I'll be trying this for sure!! 🙌

LOL! I have that same rice bag in my collection of reuseable shopping bags. It's sturdy and awesome!
I love that, Martha! Those rice bags are some of my favorites. They can be cut open to make larger bags too.. so handy!
This is a great way to store those bags! I need to do this and then keep them in my car so I don't forget them. New subscriber and great info!

Great trick! I always end up just shoving mine somewhere. 😄 This is so much better! Thanks for sharing, I've never seen this out there either.💛
I used to too, Alicia! 😂 I hated that mess and upkeep. This has been really easy for me to use and maintain. Thank you so much for watching! 😃
