Great video. Here'a another tip. I also found that when you give it instructions and it produces the incorrect result or format, once you have figured out how to get the AI to give you the correct answer and in the form you want, i then ask it, "to avoid further misunderstanding with my instructions to you, how could I have written those instructions so that you don't make that error in the future?" Amazingly, it produces the exact script that you can use for future purposes. I then just keep those scripts in an excel file for future use.
Great ideas! It is easier to click on the copy button to the left of the fingers, top right corner, instead of select and copy the text...just to take it into account.
I use the free version and it's amazing what it can offer. However, the paid version provides the benefits of faster responsiveness and priority access when the tool is under heavy load.
Fascinating, and thank you - the busy teacher's perfect solution. I tried a few things out recently but I had trouble getting it to produce really simple texts. I asked for A1 level but the vocabulary and grammar would have been way above my students' level, and it was all much too long. Do you have suggestions for really getting a totally simple, short, beginner's text?
Alison, interesting. Try asking it to re-write the text but to make is simpler. I have done this in Polish and it has worked really well. I hope all is well.
@@ttvRussell Yes, thank you, that worked quite well, I got a much lower-level text. I also asked ChatGPT to write some definitions for words in the text and that was pretty good, too. It is quite amazing what this tool can do, and the speed at which it works.
That first idea....what was the famous Kurusawa movie called? Ahhh...Rashomom....we can call these ideas RASHOMON games! The book came from a collection of stories.
@@ttvRussell This is brilliant stuff...I felt we were really at the vanguard four years back when it all went online... I feel like that again. Hugely Interesting time to be a teacher... I've been using Gpt to create dungeons and dragons style speaking games... it's so fast and incredible the things you can link it to....no dice rolling, just jump to FLIPPITY and, can you answer the question? Looking forward to your video course....if I can drag myself away from chat gpt! Do you know Hugh Dellar? (Really just asking because of the accent!)
Thank you 🙏🏻 I am trying to find a platform or website that is similar to Google education or Edmodo. Any suggestions? This is not only for English teachers, it is for a school. Thanks for the help

Great Tip. Thank you. There are other ways to use ChatGPT I have to find them out.
@@ttvRussell its a work in progress because AI is constantly updating itself and as such we too need to be doing the same

Great video Russell! Is it worth getting the paid version at twenty dollars a month?
I use the free version and it's amazing what it can offer. However, the paid version provides the benefits of faster responsiveness and priority access when the tool is under heavy load.

The acronym Tmli5 (tell me like I'm 5 years old) works pretty well.

Look into Schoology, it looked good when I saw a presentation about it though I don't use it as I have my own platform.
ChatGPT now has an icon where it copies it for you and you can paste it in Word. This also copies the numbers if there should be any bullet points.
Brilliant! thanks for the info
