This place is in Silchar, a town in Assam.Guwahati is the largest city of Assam (300km from Silchar)and Kolkatta is the nearest metro city. Silchar is connected by rail, road & air. The airport is around 15km away from the town. Silchar has many tea gardens, resorts are also available inside the tea gardens. Beautiful lakes and rivers are there, even inside the tea garden. Silchar is surrounded by beautiful blue mountains, called North Cachar Hills ( NC Hills), Silchar falls in Cachar District. Local speaks bengali here, hindi & english are very common. Hotels are easily available for tourist. Nearest tourist places are Halflong (4hrs from Silchar), Shillong ( 6hrs), Dimahasa ( 6hrs), Aizwal etc, these are incredibly beautiful hill station. Kangsuri fall (3hrs), shillong has some of the biggest falls like elephant falls, seven sister falls etc. There are many scenic places in North East.
