I'm hearing some good chest tones in your singing voice. Keep working on that quality. You'll bring out the soul that I hear lurking just under the surface. BTW For chord progressions, it's a bit easier than it used to be. Just Google the song by title and add Chords or Lyrics and you can usually get a few samples. Enjoy your instruments (Guitar & Voice) Don't give up on that G chord.

I just found your channel Brooke, very cool! I am a bass player, also left handed (I assume you are a south paw unless your camera is backwards!) Even though I've been playing since the late 60's, I love finding new things like this. Everyone, no matter how experienced, has something to show with their music. Thanks for sharing!

Have you ever jammed with some friends at home with electric Guitars and a Drummer wow that is a lot of fun or Sing at a karaoke bar , but after a couple of beers it’s easier to sing but I don’t hang out in a bar anymore as I’m much older now but the younger years were so much fun.
We did that today at my dad's. He has amps and mics & stuff. That's always fun.

I've never used a capo for this song but if it works then keep it up.
Just curious, how come you are using the Capo?
It doesn't need it and the main sound of that song comes out better without it.
Without it I was too low.

I listened to other versions without the capo it seems to bring out the riff better when no capo.

I play left handed also. Mute the last string with your little finger. It is not an open strum .

This comment is actually not the worse. There are a few others however. I'm definitely no expert but I didn't realize there was a right & wrong way to music. That's the beauty of it. There's not many rules to conform to after you know the basic chords. Just my opinion.....you know what they say about them. 😆

This song is not in key of octive G (it is not a happy song) it is in D5! Try it you can do it.botherwise Your guitar sounds like a mandolin! You lose the true essence of the song other wise.
