  • Gday .
In episode 8 of UNTILL IT HERTZ we have a random assortment of things.
    • We take a look at pulling a HV cable and the custom rollers that are used to get the cable around corners and keep it off the ground. Next time i do something like this i'll get more footage of the winch setups we use and different strategies for pulling cables in different scenario's. I did not film much of this because it was not until after the fact i realised people were interested in this.
    • We have the classic home made tools and fun items i have come across recently including, a drill press handle made from a dog toy, stainless steel ice scoop and we even take a look at a home made "Installation Tester" for checking circuits.
    • There is a small look at some floatation cells in bubbling action separating some lead and nickel, and a little bit of acid bath? BUBBLE ACTION!
    • We take a quick look at the switching components of a HV switchyard and how that all works.
    • There is an EWP bogged down to the gills and some laughs at that.
    • Rust Rust Rust and More rust
    • A look/warning at what contaminated disks will do to your beautiful stainless installations.
AND a guest appearance from a great new channel from fellow r/skookum creator Fixing with nick!

45 cut on a pipe reduces the noise of the discharge.

This theory is all well and good, and works but the noise would not be an issue. That does not mean your incorrect just it was not necessarily
I can see them doing every pipe ever like this for noise but only a few cases needing it

      Just found this also:
Whenever water pushes out of a pipe, an equivalent amount if air rushes into the pipe (else it'll create a strong vaccum at the back of the pipe, against which, your pump shall not be able to work.)
Now, when the ends of the pipes have no cuts, water always has that tendency to be in contact with the sides of the pipe. (source: fluid dynamics)
But when it gushes out, air must be sucked in too. This leaves the air, a very odd random pattern to enter the pipe. This gives us a very unregulated flow of water. I'm sure you must have noted this phenomena somewhere. It comes out in a random series of splurts instead of a continuous flow.
