Mavi's backstory is one of the sadest backstory i seen. I cried when i watech this episode. But then when I saw the final season, it got worse! ANyway, looking foward to the final season. It was criticised for rushing. But it also means back-to-back surprises, backstories and reveals.
Look back at the first episode. When their names are on screen Mavis has an age, Zera doesn't.

year 686-791, that's a good 105 years. So all those treasure hunters and old guys who were there at the founding of Fairy Tail are all well over 100 years old. I think people in this world simply live longer than we do, probably because of all the magic going around and such.
Unfortunately, Yuri Dreyar died in year x700.

Doubtful. They've already done a video where they react to all of the openings. They never watched the openings during the reactions. But they definitely should do a video where they react to all the endings.
Even Fairy Tail has not the best story writing but it's an exception for this one... Fairy Tail Zero is one of the best prologue arc anime of all time...
Hiro Mashima has a potential but somehow he is always drifting apart and makes the writing become so inconsistent
Agreed,even tho i love all hes series and i love hes passion for hes work sometimes i wish he puts all hes atention into one series,with all this worlds,characters,storys and powers i truly believe he can make something wonderful

Author of manga made naming game. Fairy tail Zero, Zera. He changed name in manga each chapter, look it up.
They also did it for each episode of the anime, with the 0 fading and an A in the last episode.

The backstoy is so well crafted- espeically the mystery on how mavis eventually "dies". When it gets shown, its EASILY the best part of fairy tail, storytelling wise.

Mavis's story will always be one of the best in Fairy Tail without giving spoilers. I prefer to just say that Zera and Mavis' farewell still make me cry... It was traumatizing to know that Zera did die... But how nice that illusion and Mavis' magic fed Zera's soul, making her retify all the bad things she did and really know Mavis... It was a pure friendship, they knew each other's souls and no one will erase that because thanks to that friendship Fairy Tail was born 👣💚 Everything that comes after is sad but well the future continues and the next two chapters are the perfect closing for this second season 😭🥀
