Halo 4 Tricks: Forerunner Banshee Out-of-Map Skip

This in-depth tutorial shows you how to skip the hardest area in Forerunner, the third mission in Halo 4, by flying a banshee through a hole. As seen in my Legendary Speedrun Guide. Hope this helps!

I actually found it to be very easy. Took me a few tries to find the hole but then i got it

@@EasternEGG39it’s not about finding the hole moron. It’s about the 2 banshees, 2 ghosts and horde of covenant that blow you up before you can even reach the hole.

Thank you! I was running through this mission on Legendary for a challenge on MCC, figuring running one level of Halo 4 wouldn't be *that* bad. "Wrong" is not nearly descriptive enough for that idea.
There is absolutely nothing you can do in this section. The ghost can't aim high enough to kill the banshees, and it can't move fast enough or take enough hits to blitz through, so it's out. If you take the banshee and fight with that, you'll kill the other banshees, but then because vehicles in 4 are made of paper mache you'll be ripped apart by the ghosts and Elites in the process. Fight on foot and the banshees flick you with a few shots just as your shields are about to recharge, and there's no cover from them where you're safe from infantry, so you slowly get whittled away until you die. Like so many parts of Halo 4, it's not even a difficult section; it's horseshit.
It's especially stark how bad Halo 4 is after spending so much time kicking back with all the Bungie-made games in MCC, and it's downright painful after just playing through a level of Reach right before this. Reach has more of its share of shortcomings, but I still had a ton of fun playing a level of it. All I'm getting out of Forerunner is frustration, annoyance, and bad memories.
But you know what, you saved my miserable attempt to extract any quantity of enjoyment from this experience: this little exploit is hilarious. Thanks again!
