I actually think this song holds on its own, without the video. The song itself released early on UA-cam music so I had the chance to listen to it on its own and I still fell every bit of emotion and story, great track fr
I personally am able to feel the emotions from the songs much easier without the video.
i was just listening to his album and i kinda got distracted and started to tune it out but when the distorted guitar sounds came in i was shook and it brought me right back, the pure anger in his voice really stood out

I also feel like it could be Joyner reading into things too. Rappers and famous people in general have a hard time trusting friends when they make it big, its been rapped about plenty of times. I love this video and song so much because, me, it could be either way
There's also the layer of the successful friend having intrusive thoughts about everyone around them just being there cuz they got money. Even if it's not the case, money makes people paranoid.
I interpret it as that he may be angry at Joyner for his success and he feels like he deserves it, but at the end of his day that's his best friend, that's his brother, and he wouldn't put anybody over him
Also just because you grew up with someone doesn't mean you guys are the same or on the same path. People grow apart no matter how close you were. I knew two twin brothers that looked the same, acted the same, and liked the same things until some time after they grew up they went on different paths and rarely talk. They still love each other as brothers it's just different priorities. Separation is part of human interaction.

Is that so? I could see it being the interpretation of Joyner feeling this is what his friend feels under all the compliments he was giving to him. Joyner in the very opening is seeing his friend in a way that looks like he is aimlessly looking forward. maybe just seeing something that isnt there.
I love it quite a bit because, this "evil broski" could be from either person here. Could be the underlying feelings that his friend truly has, or it could be what Joyner see's in any of his friends as he doesnt know who to trust with his obtained wealth and success.
