Saad hugging everyone was so touching. He may have been on the Avs for only one season, but he was loved and is greatly missed. Wish he could have stuck around and gone on this journey with us.
Good point but I hated Saader when he was with hated B-Hawks and other teams but...I love this guy now and he's ALWAYS been a gamer. I think he signed 4 year deal with Blue Ballers.

Yeah, and yes, Perron gets under opponent's skin with questionable actions yet never cheap shots to injure, etc. He's matured a helluva lot from first stint with Blues - he took too many silly penalties yet came back from Vegas and cashed in his Cup chips!

I play(ed) in chess, bowling, tennis tournaments (non-physical) and shook hands but...it's something about beating up on each other then all of sudden we swish gears and now were BFF? Okay, I'm being a little silly if I also added...wouldn't it be great theater if a couple guys dropped their gloves while in line! LOL!!!

Good to see everything was left on the ice. You can only show respect for the opposing team for battling as hard as you did during the series. That's what handshakes are all about

Agree. Handshakes after a game are always a sign of respect for the other that battles as hard you do.
This is one of the best traditions in all of team sport.. i absolutely love hockey players who will lay it all out on the ice but at the end of the day, will shake hands like gentlemen and move on.

Imagine being the organ player for the Blues. Daren Helm comes in like Kano from Mortal Kombat with the fatality and rips out the heart of everyone in the building. The organ player tries immediately to play something peppy to fill the silence. Then when his team is doing the handshake line, he starts playing "Always Look at the Bright Side of Life" from Monty Python's Life of Brian. Hilarious.
