Jean is a true gem. I had the honor of attending a summit with her and she was just so open and eager to teach and for us to learn. She really puts passion and thought into her photography and it shows.
I have been following Jean for many years. Every time I watch one of her videos I pick up something new to consider for my upcoming shoots. Her insight on how to prepare and develop a photographic story helps me remember things to make my photos better for my clients.
As a Sports photographer myself. Your videos help me to learn how to take photos of sports.. ❤ I am a regular viewer of your video love to watch and learn ❤
Take notes, Jean knows her craft and she’s on top of her game when it comes to sports photography! Looking forward to seeing more of her informative videos .
This episode was great! First, how to prepare for and scout a shooting location. How to connect with and befriend players, coaches, groundskeepers, etc. Then an in-depth look at her camera's lenses, and even carrying bags. Plus, lots of great glimpses of the Oakland A's camp in the Dominican Republic!
Great content Jean. Thanks for walking us through your planning and how you prep for a shoot. I also appreciated you sharing what cameras you use and the lenses you rely on the most. Hearing from you what you use each lens for gave me a few ideas for myself. I have the same Lowepro backpack and it has been a great workhorse for me. I can get so much gear in it. Looking forward to the next episode!
I loved the second installment in this series!!! Really enjoyed learning about all of the research, planning, mindset, and approach that are carefully considered prior to/utilized during Jean’s shoots. Thank you for sharing! 📸
Thanks for this really nice presentation. As a teacher, I really respect your willingness to share this kind of information. As an amateur photographer I thank you for your time in doing so. BTW, I absolutely love the LowePro bags. I have a Photo Hatchback and it's just been a really durable and easy to use bag. I appreciate that this talk was not all about equipment because one can adapt the ideas for preparing, techniques and for the different shots to an level of equipment. I say that because most of the gear here is way beyond my budget.
Such beautiful work, my family and I enjoy following you through your journey! It’s wonderful to see your passion and how you become so connected with the people you are shooting. You are an inspiration! ❤ Your investment in your work is so admirable and your photography is so beautiful!!
So inspiring! So informative - I always learn something from Jean's videos, and showing up a day early at the same time I need to shoot is just great! It seems simple, but having a plan and doing the research really can make all the difference. Thank you!
Ein super Beitrag, vor allem alles gut erklärt. Was nehme ich mit, was brauen ich, was habe ich für die Sportfotografie. Sony bietet alles was benötigt wird?! Weiter so!
Thx for the video series…very informative! Surprised Jean doesn’t bring a 1.4tc as I would think the 300 2.8 a bit short for outfield shots even with A1 and especially with A93. TC can’t be a weight issue and I am sure the cost isn’t an issue so a bit puzzling to me.
heavy emphasis on planning here and im watching this as I have to shoot 3 sports at 2 different high schools this weekend for high school baseball, softball, and girls soccer possibly 2 games tomorrow and 3 Saturday lol.
Hi Jean....New subscriber to your page and looking forward to learn from your vast experience and knowledge too.I am a Nikon shooter and moving into a Nikon Z8 very soon to compliment my D850 along with two D800s.
Does she travel with assistants? That much equipment gotta kill your back lol. Also safety issue with that much equipment if you can't keep an eye on it.

Planning is such a key to success… it’s the difference between a person with a camera and a photographer

Thanks for the sub! Glad you enjoyed the series from Jean. We have a ton of Nikon videos on our channel. Happy watching!
Great tips!
Jean always brings the best tips!
What’s your thoughts on a better camera, I have a Canon!!!
Get a better lens so you can soom in or do a wide shot, plan
And in simple…………..
What’s the catch lol
Does she travel with assistants? That much equipment gotta kill your back lol. Also safety issue with that much equipment if you can't keep an eye on it.
кстати про автофокус. а93 даёт гораздо больше промахов нежели a74. стабильно вдвое, мажет как пакость.
I think the audio is a bit too hot
