@@ColorfulPockets so what IS the secret? I've solved the cube ONCE without a solution or help and have been trying to solve it again doing edges first. I've made progress but haven't been able to solve it again.

A couple weeks ago I was at a comp and I needed to go to the bathroom. When I came out, in a room right outside the come a kid and his dad were placing an order from the Cubicle. The dad asked, "Whats the discount code?" and the kid said ,"Pockets."

The secret is how you perceive the cube.A Rubik's cube is just a bunch of colored squares mounted on top of each other attached to a core.So there is no blue side but there is a blue-red-white corner piece.Thinking about it as a bunch of colored square parts instead of 6 colored sides is the real secret to solving a Rubik's Cube.

The secret is to smile and have fun, THAT'S IT. Don't take life or the Rubik's Cube too seriously. The Rubik's Cube is a TOY, it's meant to be played with so just play with it smile and have fun.
