Got my ZR2 three months ago. Not a single regret.
What’s the actual mpg?
@ianalberti1661 18mpg....mostly round town. Pretty crappy for a 4 cylinder in a midsize.
Love the look of this Chevy! 🔥
For what the prices of tacoma this generation, I think Chevy is the winner here all in for ZR2 $50k+ while the Tacoma for $50k+ just only for TRD Off-Road… 🤷🏻♂️
65k for a trdpro is insane. 50 is cheap.
Amen brother!!! I had a 2020 Tacoma TRD off road that I purchase before the prices went up(pre-covid), I scooped it for about $35000. Then I sold it and got another green lime Tacoma TRD off road with their top trim/package) but it was very expensive. I just scooped a ZR2 5 days ago. I compared it with the competition and for instance the Ranger Raptor they wanted $10k over MSRP. My other options were the new Tacoma or the Colorado. I think that the Colorado ZR2 offer a lot for the money. Sure the Tacoma TRD pro is going to be a great truck but it is incredibly expensive at $65K. I think that the best midsize truck in the market is the Ranger Raptor and a close tie for second place for the Tacoma TRD pro and the ZR2 but the ZR2 is by far more affordable.
Excellent video. Great job.
This truck will accommodate 35s right out of the box [no rubbing whatsoever]; has front & rear lockers; surprisingly, plenty of torque-power from the 2.7L.
The only gripe that I can even find (and it’s stretching) is the headlight control being in the infotainment screen. It just takes getting used to & the auto feature makes it mostly a non issue. It’s only a gripe at dusk when headlights should be on, but the sensor is still detecting enough daylight as to keep the headlights off.
Solid all-around mid-size and easily the best bang for the buck.
Nice review. Thanks
Great vid!
Looked at the 2024 Tacoma to replace my 2009 Tacoma and was very disappointed. Went to Chevy and test drove the Colorado, bought it that very day.
Thank you for the vid. I just ordered my Chevy today. With some of the features you showed off.
Awesome, you’ll love the truck.
Thanks for reviewing the rear seat area as I have an 80 lb Golden Retriever who travels on the rear floor and is used to a full size pu.
Subscribed ... Nice straight up review. .. The Chevy / GMC twins 2.7l HO are a purchase / order consideration. .. The neu Tacoma is hiding its questionable value. .. The Tacoma's MAX battery scheme, read Heavy,, isn't getting my attention.
Thanks for your support! The Tacoma is and always has been a solid choice. In this new generation the value just does not seem to be there. I will have to try to get my hands on one to experience it first hand to really evaluate it. But this ZR2 seems like seriously solid choice, great great value!
Baddest, sexiest, most aggressive looking midsized truck on the market❤❤❤
That's a reach
@ELP1125 Reach these nuts, yo!
Are the rear seats removable?
Are those rear under-seat bins removable or are they load-bearing? I’d like a flat back area with the seats folded up so my Good Boy can have a pillow and some room to roam on long rides. I wouldn’t mind securing a jack in the bed if I could maximize the rear floor space for Woof.
They’re built in. I’ve never taken mine off but from what I can tell it wouldn’t be flat underneath the plastic anyway. My neighbor rigged up a wooden platform for his pups, I just use a dog hammock.
Thank you!
really really scared of that engine... im here for longevity. so leaning to the V6 nissan pro4x. but i love the look of these way way more.
It's 2024 and they went back to light bulbs for front turn signals and brake lights? Take about cheaping out.
So you’d rather pay 65k for a Tacoma trd pro? It’s just lights bro. The important stuff is there.
@@vw1610 ... In comparison to other medium pickups,,, the Chevy/GMC twin's have the lead in the Value proposition column. .. The torquey 2.7l w/8sp gearbox has merit.
They did cheap out in some areas with incandescent bulbs.
@@vw1610 Nope. No TRD for me. But, bulbs? It's principle to me, that's all.
Yeah that's a bummer for sure, especially for the ZR2 model. Make us pay a bit more or option it, but bulbs should be long gone.
The more I see these trucks the more Aztec vibes I get.
I want one but yea not going over 38K
It’s lame that ya can’t put a sheet of plywood in the bed… too narrow
Get a fullsize pickup or a Ridgeline
i wanted a new tacoma trd pro but after they announce the price i went to get a zr2 i love it
I did the same toyota has lost their mind
@@carlmcdonald5864 I felt that last gen TRD Pros were pricey. They went crazy for the 4th gen. Those isodynamic silly seats take up half the back leg room of an already cramped rear seat. Imagine what you could do with the ZR2 with an extra $15k in savings from the Pro? Or buy a second car lol
Hope this zr2 trim will also be sold in the Philippines!
