I'm a few days late watching but those tips will go through just fine. Seems a million years ago I first caught Slaid at Strawberry Music Festival near Yosemite in California. Told him I hoped he brought a lot of CDs because he would sell them all. Of course he would have to mention my friend Sarah Elizabeth Campbell and get me all teared up (I muttered, "Don't do this to me Slaid"). She was a hoot. Thanks as well for playing my favorite Fred Eaglesmith song (I'm a retired locomotive engineer). I was laughing remembering Strawberry and getting the crowd to help with Breakfast in Hell and we just couldn't stop with the "Huh...Hah". The great bass player...was it Ivan? (I can see him standing on that bass) but I remember his song "He's Six".("He POKES things with sticks")..when it was time to get back to the song and we just kept going, saying "You can't stop a good crew like this, Slaid". Glad we're still getting together, amigo.
Wow, so many fond memories, Reggie. Sure do miss "Sayra." I got to drive a GP-9 up and down the yard and over the turntable on my 9th birthday. So, yeah, I like trains.
I rarely comment on videos but these have been awesome to watch and listen to. I want to say a massive thanks to you Slaid, for a while I was falling out of love with playing, but I heard breakfast in hell a few years ago and it rekindled my love of the guitar. I had to learn it and I've been a fan ever since. I can't thank you enough for your beautiful storytelling and melodies. I keep playing and hope one day I can be half the talent you are. Thank you so much for all the music and the inspiration. I hope to make a live show one day.
It was amazing and thank you so much for the shout out for Horseshoe lounge for Gabriel and I. We're gonna play that video before the song at our wedding :)
Damner, Slaid...been listening to you for a bunch of years now and actually caught you live once in good ole Ioway. Thanks for being there this year for all of us and fighting the good fight!
