I stan for Derrick Barry the moment she came for Acid Betty calling Trixie’s makeup as horrible and ugly during that one time in Season 8 untucked. When Acid Betty said “I dont get it”, Derrick said “But its not for you to get, its what she does” and in that moment Bob was living and approved Derrick and they both initially became close friends after the show.
I think because Violets PitStop with Trixie was so popular WOW decided to put her on fashion photo review. However, combining her with Gottmik wasn’t a good idea. I saw someone say that with Trixie, violet’s opinions got some comic relief, because Trixie would supply humor to everything Violet said. But Gottmik doesn’t provide that same type of commentary. They are both excellent drag queens, but in terms of FPR I don’t think they were the correct hosts.
Exactly! Violet needs someone to balance her out, either comedy wise to make her commentary more light hearted, or someone with vastly different opinions on fashion than her, ideally, both. But while I love Gottmik, their fashion sense is very much like Violet's and is also quick to agree to everything Violet says and follows suit wherever she goes .. Violet needs someone who can stand their ground and be firm about not cowering before her fashion expertise/taste and have their own beliefs and so on
india literally started this whole drama on her own 😂 she could’ve easily ignored the comments on the pit stop that were literally nothing? just derrick saying she don’t like you which everyone knew lol
So, basically, India saw that she was mentioned for two seconds in the most recent Pit Stop and thought she would get a cute little word in about it to try and grasp at the straws of her relevance and ended up playing the victim and crying to her husband about being bullied. Couldn't be more on brand for her.
@@bumblebeebrass164 What threats did I make against her? What profanity did I use? India started all of this because she wanted to be the one to have a go at people whose careers are doing objectively better than hers. Pointing that out is not "toxic". It's the kind of read she utterly failed to execute. And if she can't take it, then she's right. She best remove herself from the situation. To compare my statement to actually toxic fans who directly harass queens and send them death threats... come on now, Grace. You and I both know that's false and trivializes ACTUAL online harassment.
Derrick is so much more fierce than anyone ever thought possible. She learned from every queen she encountered and she heightened every aspect of herself while doing so.
And she still went home first. Jk She's great but like most drag queens, I think she doesn't understand how reality tv works and overthinks when cameras are around.
@@jillybeangaming and shea has every right to. because (from my white perspective) when you're a person of color, 75% to 95% of the time someone doesnt like someone else because of the color of thier skin. im not saying india is racist but she seems like she woukd say or do something that can be deemed as, like she did
she literally won the worst all stars season of all time with three bottom placings, 1 controversial win that juju deserved, and her crowning was what everyone expected because she was fairly eliminated on S9’s finale when she was the queen with the most wins back then (it should’ve been only three because alexis had the best performance in the rusical), but go off sis, bragging about the most rigged win in all stars after Kylie’s win.
I'm sorry but "slave" is a Britney song, Britney = DB, of course i know that that India is wrong in the whole argument but saying that she is racist for that...a little to much in my opinion.
@@jillybeangaming I had to go back and listen twice and nothing about that said Britney song. She also put an emphasis the word slave so it did look weird. That’s not pulling the race card and I hate when people say that. It’s so dismissive.
I heavily disliked fashion review because the hosts were sooo boring. Gottmik agreed with just about everything with Violet said and Violet has such strict standards for what she considered excellent drag. And it's just not enjoyable. With Raja and Raven there was banter and fun and a sense they enjoyed reviewing lewks whereas Violet and Gottmik seemed to have this "over it and bored" attitude. But harassing them and sending them threats over their opinions crosses major lines and is so unforgivably nasty. It's a show. You don't have to watch it if you do not enjoy it. Just drop the dislike and bounce.
But did you not in this comment also come for them? Why not cut most of the first paragraph out, you want to spread the message of no harassment but you also needed a 66 word 4 periods and 2 quotation marks paragraph detailing why it was bad?
@@callumfootitt5366 idk I agree with them, it seems more like an opinion, not harassment/coming for them. I feel the same way as OP but I still live for mik and violet
The thing about Violet is that I knew she and GM have a particular taste. That's totally cool. I just had a feeling I probably wouldn't vibe with their taste so I stopped watching after the first two episodes. I feel Violet has always done well when she has a different kind of queen with her. Like Violet and Katya's review of Taylor Swift is hilarious because they're playing off of each other. It's a shame that "fans" are so quick to turn on someone because they have a different opinion.
I will never forgive Indiah for robbing us of Alexis Mateo in the top three and making a part of the fandom doubt her credibility. Alexis has always gotten the short end of the stick in her seasons.
Ok yes you’re right, the thing with Mimi was definitely unfair. I don’t think she turned everyone else against Mimi or made them all go after her, though. Raven was so heated it definitely seemed like she would’ve gone off no matter what. I think the thing with Alexis just opened the doors for other people to air their grievances against Mimi but I do agree that Alexis’ reasons for going after Mimi were petty.
@@apengtemena7472 meh, Juju, cracker and alexis as the top 3 with Shea getting a shocking Manila-inspired elimination would probably made the season more interesting
While Violet taking action immediately is completely understandable, what is frustrating to me is the sheer difference in how they are treated vs black queens. How many queens have gotten hate with no support from the producers who profited off of the drama? Heck, when Bob and Monet were being attacked, most queens who were vocal were cheering it on or adding fuel to it for weeks. The day after Violet started getting hate they all came in support of her. The double standards are just so visible.
I remember watching all the tweets happening in real life and someone said something like “Bussy is gonna have a field day with this” and here we are lol
Sunday was crazy. I try to stay off social media and just read a book on Sundays but a friend texted me the Twitter link and I was like DAAAAM. I was engrossed. Lol
the fact India's husband said "don't pull the racecard" in reference to Shea rightfully saying calling yourself a slave on Juneteenth is insensitive, while also a sentence later screaming about how wrong this all is being pride month... please, I can't. He can't be serious
Yeah that looks bad but . . . The reference was clear and Shea did decide to make 2 petty white girls squabbling her soapbox moment. It wasn't woke, it was cringe. A POC wasn't mentioned, involved, referenced, there or even adjacently involved in any form. If that doesn't tell you it wasn't about race, Idk what does. India has plenty of reasons not to like her. You don't even need a reason not to like someone. So you don't need to MAKE them a racist. That was BENEATH someone of Shea's caliber.
It is ridiculous. Do you think India was like "Oh it's Juneteenth, let's offend people" that wasn't the context at all. And how exactly is "slave" specific to black people? Even the word comes from Slavs (eastern european people) who were kept as slaves. Maybe it's just cause I'm not American but I don't think about black people when I hear the word, I think of the Irish first. How someone could be offended by that (fully knowing the context) is beyond me. I still am not on India's side tho
@@kairanelle1380 Americans ONLY think of and ONLY take BLACK slavery into consideration or importance tbh. Which is weird because they estimate 1/2 to 2/3 of white colonists came to the US in the form of slaves? People don't realize not ALL Europeans were seen as WHITE back then either. Some people like Hungarians, Greeks, Italians, etc. Only became recognized as white by the 1930's. But yeah this happened from the 17th to 19th century though for part of it they gained the title " indentured servant " but it really wasn't any different. ( This is the area some people will try to pick at. If you look at the rights and living status of what an indentured servant is you would say they're a slave by your modern judgment. ) You got the SAME thing except the argument was " you work for me and don't get paid and in return you get the same shelter and food you got as a slave. " like . . . ? and this isn't to devalue black slavery. It happened for longer and was worse for longer and was followed by segregation and racism. While Irish had their own share of problems it definitely was NOT to the level of black men and women after them. Point is you don't OWN The word SLAVE though. Slavery has always been terrible but it has happened to E V E R Y race of people. The Romans & the Greeks, The Egyptians, etc. For some reason though Black slavery and black racism overrides racism and slavery to everyone else in social media and stuff and I don't get that part.
@@BreezieAussie It's probably because you're educated, secure and don't need a soapbox to feel special or validated. SOME people can't relate and need to create a moral high ground if they can't find one.
I know I cannot relate on Violet's "level" in any real way, but I have also experienced this! It really makes you feel like the villain when the show's judges are saying the COMPLETE opposite of what you are. Plus its all winners. Every queen is thousands of if not hundreds of thousands people's favorites.
she had a big miss on rogers first look though tbh. i feel like she didnt get the reference because those shoes matched the outfit perfectly. most of the rest of her criticisms have been pretty true though
Not really, Violet's opinions are just mean girl level and Gotmik is a flying monkey. That doesn't mean they should be harassed or bullied online but it does mean WoW should reconsider who they cast for FPR.
@@RickyLiveOG Yeah on paper Violet was perfect for the job but in reality she was unlikeable and mean, no charisma anymore for some reason, and people got ticked off that she didn't at least give Raja her dues as the first fashion queen before booting her. It was just "oh this is another random drag queen, I hate the shoes, BOOT"
This whole "No Notes" judging was the worst idea ever. Because it really exposes how fake and overproduced the show is at this point. They aren't even bothering to hide the alternate reality narrative they're creating. And if it encourages more winners to come out in something akin to Shea's wretched Dolly Parton look, it's just a huge loss for EVERYBODY.
Let's be adults for a minute. Violet can be downright cruel sometimes under the guise of being a "fashion queen" or "reading". Which is fine, but that means you have to be a big enough person to be on the receiving end too. Frankly as most people have been saying, I just don't think Violet and Gottmik were a good combination. Gottmik just nods and agrees with everything (and she does this not just with Violet but with every other person) and Violet throws out incessant criticisms. Neither of those are bad things, but there needs to be a good balance, a back and forth banter. And that's what we're missing.
there's a difference between being harsh while stating the opinion you have been asked for in a video... and sending hundredsn if not more, of mean things, death threat and harassing. 2 hella different things. Gotta stop with the "you can dish it but can't take it". She can take it. She can take harsh comeback with no prob. But what's she's getting in private messages aren't "comeback". Please... come on..
She is quite literally paid to be mean and "downright cruel". Fans lived for her shade during the ball episodes. This has nothing to do with violet and everything to do with the fact that they got tired of their new opinionated fave (and the lack of drama on this season).
Violet gets the same hate other queens have gotten for years and WOW puts her content behind a paywall while other queens get no response. That’s all. I’m not agreeing with it but it’s interesting to see how they responded.
She also NEVER and NOT once put an effort to defend her castmates during season 7 at the height of so much hate being thrown on queens like Kennedy, Jasmine, Ginger, and Kasha . She was radio silent
It's always unsurprising how quickly these company run to shield certain queens, and yet has allowed racism, and toxic bullying to occur with nearly all of it's POC queens!
I don't think this has anything to do with shielding Violet. Sooner or later they will move any DR content to their streaming service and they probably thought now is a good time, as it's a talking point.
I don't follow Twitter drama because I'm hardly ever on that toxic platform and to me it is the stupidest, most childish thing in the world. But I have to say, Derrick's read about India's teeth got me good, I'm still cackling 🤣Also I'm subscribed to WoW+ but I still won't watch FPR. Violet can share all her opinions and boot anyone she likes, I don't care. I just don't really enjoy the show anymore, I liked it better when it was hosted by Raja and Raven.
I’m glad violet got the episodes pulled; the fandom needs to learn some respect. It’s because of this toxic fandom that we no longer have I iconic untucked moments anymore since the queens are afraid to say anything that isn’t nice. Maybe this hiatus will teach people to calm down and just ENJOY THE SHOW. I pay for WOW so I’m not missing anything 💅🏿
It’s interesting how People are fake - when Violet was harsh on S13 and 14 everyone was loving her because she was brutally honest ( what in my opinion is right thing to do ) but when it comes to Fan Favorites she got all the hate. I’m standing behind her because she was giving her point of view and her opinion. Why she should agree with everybody just to be nice - this is f*cling FAKE and I’m glad she was true to herself! Because it’s shows that she is not pretending to be someone else.
I think the problem with Fashion Photo Review's new hosts, GotMik and Violet is there judging style. Raven and Raja understood multitude of references, different styles, trends and how it fit the wearer's Drag. While Violet and GotMik seemingly miss multitude references and there gut reaction to instantly boot a look comes across shallow and vapid. Lastly they always judge if they would wear it and not someone else.
I think part of the issue is Violet (and her echo chamber Gottmik) have a very narrow view of what constitutes acceptable fashion -- certain silhouettes, certain designers.
You lost me at Raven and Raja understanding multitude of references when they literally were as ignorant but in an old school drag kinda way and booted numerous iconic looks bc they didn't understand them
@@Terry_Bell They understood looks that pulled from other media, or different era's of Fashion and often mentioned it. The only time it wasn't toot'd in those cases if it also appeared crafty
@@Terry_Bell Yeah exactly, I was confused by that statement because Raven booted so many looks that were ICONIC. She even booted KIM CHI because she didn't have the silhouttes that she likes (waist blablabla).
Violet toot Jinkx. A lot. You think she would wear Jinkx’s clothes?? No. It’s because she wouldn’t judge Jinkx by her standard. So for Violet she sees more if the clothes represent that drag queen or not. Not just because she wants to wear it or not.
India really came out with an attack over a nothing joke between Bob and Derrick and then got mad when she got dragged for it. I love when the bully cries fowl for getting called out.
Sometimes I'll go through half the day before I even realize what the day is. So while I can maybe understand India not realizing it was Juneteenth, I do not think she had the right response to Shea calling her out for what she said. I would've just owned up to making a mistake and moved on, not try saying that Shea "pulled the race card." Like?? Who does that?? And about FPR: I think that Violet and Gottmik doing it together isn't the best simply because they're so alike. I haven't been watching it, but it sounds like they have very similar opinions, so it's a lot of them just agreeing with each other. Raja and Raven at least disagreed some times, and it worked cause you'd have someone pointing out the good in an outfit and someone else pointing out the bad (also, it would be funny sometimes lol). I think if you paired Violet or Gottmik with someone different, it would work a lot better.
re: India calling Shea out. Basically the truth though, even though a calm and immediate acknowledgement would have gone FAR to pointing out that her intentions were being twisted by Shea - because, like. Honestly. I love Shea and her use of platform sometimes, but not all the time, and this is not one of those times. I don't think Derrick or Alexis Mateo were really bullying India, because she did throw the first stone and went off on and on and on and got the clap back that deserved, but Shea really took it further than catty banter, and it did NOT come off as a proper use of platform or education, it came off exactly like what it was - an attack of character, and it's not the first time. She ABSOLUTELY pulled the race card to make India look like a bigger clown and that's not right, I'm not living for it because there is no footing to be gained there other than spite. re: Violet and Gottmik? Yeah, basically. I think it's the mainstream idea that Violet + Gottmik are gaggy together, but not in all contexts. Fashion Photo Ruview is definitely not a good place for that dynamic, because like you say, they shine in public opinion when they're paired with people of different backgrounds or opinions. Like - I love Violet because she is so fucking intelligent and unbothered, and can hold her own point of view in an educational way when it's being contested. But since Gottmik and Violet are inseparable and like-minded, there's no motivation to break the thoughts down so that people who don't get it really get where it's coming from.
Thing is, if it was just an honest mistake, all India had to do was to acknowledge it was a poor choice of words and apologize, tell something along the lines that she wouldnt have tweeted something like this had she made the connection. THATS IT.
I feel like they would've made fun of her for apolozing anyway, it always happens that way. It doesn't matter if you back track and apologize they will still come for you, that's just Twitter.
Can we stop pretending like white queens don't understand the context of their "statements" gay culture has historically condoned racist, elitist, and classist attitudes. But more specifically, I'm so tired of the community giving white queens the benefit of the doubt while also viscerally attacking POC queens for the smallest misstep.
The fandom is toxic and they do pounce like hungry jackals. However, Violet can dish it out but she can't take it. I thought she was tougher than this. She still has a lot of growing up to do. When it's obvious THAT many queens can't stand India it really indicates how problematic she must be. Wow.
No I think when she started getting death threats it became too much. Violet can take it and has taken it but the backlash lately with the DM harassement to her was more than just shade, it's cyber bullying
i dont care how "grown" someone is. no one should be sent death threats daily because of the opinions she was asked for. of course she'd want to quit drag, when something u love and are passionate about gets bashed and hated on for what u think is unfairly, ur gonna freak out and wanna quit. commenting this is apart of the issue
@@limelemonz2657 ok death threats. How many queens have died? Zero. Death threats aren’t real. This franchise has been going on for over a decade. No one has been murdered because of a fan.
Shea was right. Why mention being a slave on a day when slaves were actually freed? Her conditions were that of privilege. It’s weird that on a day for African Americans, some white person says shea “pulled the race card”. Babes this day IS about race. It’s not pulling a card, it’s bringing awareness. Thank you so much Bussy for shining a light on those comments!!❤️❤️
Totally right. Sure, it may have been a Britney reference, but it was pulled out on the worst day possible of the year and Shea called her out on it. Could it have been funny at another point in time? Maybe. People forget that Twitter is not like chatting in private with your besties who know and get what your saying and where you are coming from. Read what you wrote and think how it can be misunderstood before you hit send.
@@cuppapablo well i mean she did realize, but at the same time, she's human, and i can get that she was triggered that someone tried to twist her words online at first, before apologizing. At the end, it wasn't that deep, and the all thing made way more waves than it should have. People should just let them all breath^^
India was just embarrassing. She started the whole thing and played the victim at the end, yet still refusing to admit that she lied in All Stars, blaming everyone else for "twisting" her words. That is truly embarrassing.

@@Smarterthanyew .... Maybe she couldn't afford a dentist, maybe she has dental issues you don't know about, maybe the water she drinks causes her teeth to collect plaque. Regardless brushing alone cannot remove this kind of plaque. I'm not a India Farrah fan, but I'm not gonna hate on her because she has plaque on her teeth. Of course if America had Universal health and dental care we wouldn't be talking about someone's dental hygiene, cause there would be free cleanings twice a year, buts there's not.
I feel bad that there are a lot of haters and trolls. I am not going to pay for fashion photo ruview. I will just watch Busy Queen and others review the drag looks for free. Everyone is entitled to different opinions. You can disagree with an opinion and not get mad or send hate to the person with the opinion.
Oh my god she was literally brought up as a throwaway joke / drag race reference by BOB 😭 Nobody is so sad that they had to bring her up in conversation ! This is MADNESS ! The projection of it all 🤧
Everyone hates on All Stars 5 yet to me it brought genuine, juicy drama, had a ridiculously strong Top 3 and brought back some amazing lesser known queens to new audiences (i'm looking at you Mariah).
The hate on AS5 was not because it didn’t have the drama (because it did) and I’m pretty everyone knows why many hated that season. Even the cast knows what was up. You can enjoy what “reality” TV brings to you while acknowledging how poorly the show was edited and produced.
As SOON as I saw that Twitter thread, I said to myself, "ohhh Bussy got some HOT tea today, girl!!!" On another note, I do miss Raja and Raven on FPW. I love Violet's "unbothered" POV, but considering how toxic the fans are, I think the idea Monet had was GREAT: Have Violet on The Pit Stop to judge the ball episode every season.
Pro tip: if someone says you’re being racist, sexist, etc. just apologize and keep it pushing, don’t double down and continue insisting that you’re in the right. Trust that the person you’re talking to is actually doing you a favor by educating you and calling you out when you’re wrong instead of letting you embarrass yourself.
NO... this is such a stupid comment. You dont get to call someone racist/transphobic or any other slur without evidence. Your'e interpretation of what i say is not my problem.
@@TS-xn1mc oh wait there isnt one because maybe calling something racist doesnt actually make it racism. so many damn comments talking about how violet cant take it but can dish it as if thousands of hate messages is something you should just shrug off. idc how grown of tough someone comes off as, hate is hate, and hate will make people want to quit and hide so it can stop. i can see what happened from her pov but yall apparently cant so ill spell it out: season 13 bag ball she was harsh and got PRAISE, saying it was hilarious season 14 she was harsh and PRAISED for being hilarious AS7 she was harsh but cause its ur favs she was hated and attacked buy hundreds of followers she tries to stop the hate by removing the whole series people call her sensitive because she cant take the HUNDREDS of hate comments for something people told her was funny.
Heck Violet got lots of hate for winning her season and here she is. I think what really went "wrong" here is parring Violet with someone that has similar taste or a similar view of fashion which kinda makes it look like Violet's statements are end-all-be-alls when it's obviously not. It also doesn't help that their humor it not suitable for that type of setting unlike say their podcast which has a lot of funny light moments. Basically the producers wanted to cash in on Violet but didn't give her the right balance and support to contrast her and present it in a lighter vibe like the previous ones. Heck even just her and Katya's previous FPR.
i been SAYING that Violet has such a Eurocentric view of fashion, she can’t seem to appreciate any other style than her own (and she is allowed to) but her cultural ignorance is showing when reviewing looks
Ngl, but I started watching the FPR that sent Twitter on a frenzy and I stopped watching, not because of what they said - but because they're so boring. 😴
We all have biases and different tastes. I'm not mad at that. I am mad at Violet reading every runway look anytime she's on the Pit Stop but can't take being read back. Sorry, that isn't cancel culture. That is someone that can dish out the jokes and insults and can't take them being thrown back at her. Not cool. And I'm a Violet fan. Love her drag. Love her aesthetic. But I absolutely hate the attitude that some have where it's fair game when they're making jokes but as soon as they're the punchline now it's a problem. Some drag race fans do take things way too far. But those are also the passionate fans that are buying the merch, waiting for hours in lines for the meet and greets, etc. She wants the love and adoration from the fans but doesn't want the subset of hate. That comes with the territory. And I know she must have learned some coping techniques from everyone hating on S7. Violet is too long in this game to not be able to handle the criticism.
The response from India's husband leads me to believe that being out-of -touch and talking reckless are qualities cherished in his household. We know that India and Derrick Berry do not dine together. His comments towards Alexis Mateo made me tilt my head like I was a dog trying to interpret baby talk. I just audibly laughed when his description of Shea was revealed. Not only did she win AS5 (the very season his partner was on), but she is currently on AS7: All Winners.
Her description of Shea was fucking hilarious - and that's kind of a huge problem, because she was making a fair point that Shea was abusing her platform in that moment to serve India an attack of character. Like - Juneteenth had fuckin' nothing to do with the conversation. India did herself dirty by being ... well, India, but this isn't the first time that Shea pulls this stuff out in a way that benefits nobody. You can't tell me that people are being properly educated by her coming out the woodwork and pointing that shit out where it was pretty clearly not intended.
I ❤️when people say they’re “not bothered,” “too busy to care”… but then they write multiple novel tweets chock full of passive aggressive insults. India freaked out over the word “no.”
People can really go overboard with what they say to others but I will say I did not enjoy violet on FPR … she has a very narrow idea of fashion but at the same time I just stopped watching that’s all. As for India she wasn’t even talked about really and she decided to stir the pot then cry when others responded to her…
She has a narrow view on fashion because she booted your fave? Or what? Lol it's not that deep. She's been doing drag for years and a met gala attendee. A random saying her view on fashion is narrow is laughable. Do you even do drag?
@@Daniel-ui3zy it's her opinion, she's entilted to it. She said that because of it she stopped watching, nothing less, nothing more. 5Gs. Good god girl get a grip. You're right, it's not that deep, continue your day.
I just want to say I am always so thrilled when you upload new videos every week, Bussy. I'm here with LITERAL tea and popcorn, reading these tweets, shaking my head, and laughing with my mouth open. The shade from Twitter was extra dramatic this time, so thank you for letting me live my life vicariously through your content. You said you can't, but I can and I did and I can't go back.
Honestly kinda disappointed about the reason for no FPR. I personally didn’t think the comments would be enough to have her go to WoW to do that esp with how she brands herself. I hope she is okay but I would rather her step down from the show than have it completely behind a pay wall. However that’s just my opinion, it is what it is. I hope they put it back up for free after this season.
I’m assuming they’ve already recorded the entire series since Violet didn’t step down. I’ve actually wondered about this before. Monet posted one of her pit stop looks on TikTok a long while before the episode aired, (between 2 weeks to a month). I’m assuming they do the same thing on FPR
She can't step down because they have all been tape already. What I'm surprised about is her having enough power to tell WOW that they can't air them. That's impressive.
The Violet Pit Stop episode worked and was iconic because the shade was deserved- like it was the episode with THAT bag dress. So it was funny. But when she tried to be as mean to winners it didn't read and she didn't have Trixie to balance her energy
I definitely think the fandom went too far with Violet. I think some people need to learn that not everyone likes what you like and that's okay. There's this weird and extremely toxic part of the fandom that honestly seems like it's looking for an excuse to be nasty. Like express your disagreement sure but you don't have to be so horrible when you do. It's not just this situation either, every other month there's unnecessary and weirdly escalated drama. Like breath and go to a therapist.
Indiya defending herself 💀💀???? All because Derrick berry said no??? NO??? That’s it?? That’s crazy. She literally started everything by herself by responding to someone simply not wanting to work with her to be offended. Also the fact that she defended herself from saying she wasn’t a slave on the very day slavery became illegal and then apologized, and then had her husband defend her again. It’s very clear she wasn’t sorry. She just couldn’t understand why ppl won’t side with her 1v1 argument against herself.
This is a great episode because everything said in the first half about bullying was on fully display in the second half. The drag race community is full of bullies because the queens are bullies and the fans feed off of that. Being shady and reading all too often goes way too far and it’s encouraged. What India said was insensitive, but accurate, and queens decided to fight. And India’s husband’s post was good, the first half then he just started to engage. Twitter is the bad place.
For the children who don't know; June 19th, or Juneteenth is not the day slavery was abolished in the south. The Emancipation Proclamation was signed January 1, 1863. However, that only abolished slavery in the states that had already seceded from The USA. It was on January 1, 1865 that slavery was wholly abolished...not that the plantation owners in the south actually freed their slaves. In fact, the vast majority of slaves weren't even told they were free. Juneteenth actually celebrates June 19th, 1865 when Union soldiers announced General Order III in Galveston Texas. This was the order that officially freed all slaves and made it illegal to keep people as property.
I really hope the community becomes more supportive and positive. How many queens have to speak up for people to understand that being hateful isn’t cute Our community is about spreading love and acceptance. Let’s start with spreading the love we all desire ourselves ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Let's be real: Violet is rude. There, I've stated it. While I don't condone sending hate, when you play Violet's kind of character, you have to be able to take the heat. Gottmik is just Violet's yesman, so who cares? There's a difference between giving a genuine opinion and being mean just for the sake of your character who's mean and rude.

"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" During indias original season people felt bad for her because of the whole mimi situation and she made things ten times worse by going on all stars imo because I had no idea about whatever drama she had with other queens until it was mentioned on the show and now with her bringing this up after Derricks pit stop episode where she wasn't really going to go into the whole India drama. I got the Britney references but let's be honest there's better Britney references and when I saw that I thought about the timing of it.

As problematic and ignorant India was this time, Derrick’s “Plaque” comment and Meatball’s photo was cruel. Not even shady, just downright cruel and body shaming. That’s the episode I saw where Bob talked about Monet’s dress and this part of the show was just a blip for me. I never would have imagined it would stir this all up! But…it also sent me on a hunt for lots of clips of Derek and their season so…you may be on to something with that juicy conspiracy!! 🧐
Derrick didn't even mentioned India and she had the nerve to come for her. She just seized the moment to make it about herself, it seems like she's the one that has nothing going on for herself.
Honestly never like DB until this comment. Thank you lmao
I think you mean Acid Burry lol
I think because Violets PitStop with Trixie was so popular WOW decided to put her on fashion photo review. However, combining her with Gottmik wasn’t a good idea. I saw someone say that with Trixie, violet’s opinions got some comic relief, because Trixie would supply humor to everything Violet said. But Gottmik doesn’t provide that same type of commentary. They are both excellent drag queens, but in terms of FPR I don’t think they were the correct hosts.
Exactly. Being a fashion icon does not make you a good FPR host.
Violet had a great FPR with Katya. Those were great
You literally got it 💯correct 👍🏼
Violet needs someone who can stand their ground and be firm about not cowering before her fashion expertise/taste and have their own beliefs and so on
Should have been paired with Katya.
india literally started this whole drama on her own 😂 she could’ve easily ignored the comments on the pit stop that were literally nothing? just derrick saying she don’t like you which everyone knew lol
India has to realise what the real common denominator in all of her problems is, and it ain’t Derrick Barry.

Does she really? On All Stars 1 she made every cast member go after Mimi because of a management decision that Mimi had no influence over
That top 3 is correct sweetie
Ok yes you’re right, the thing with Mimi was definitely unfair. I don’t think she turned everyone else against Mimi or made them all go after her, though. Raven was so heated it definitely seemed like she would’ve gone off no matter what. I think the thing with Alexis just opened the doors for other people to air their grievances against Mimi but I do agree that Alexis’ reasons for going after Mimi were petty.

The double standards are just so visible.

the fact India's husband said "don't pull the racecard" in reference to Shea rightfully saying calling yourself a slave on Juneteenth is insensitive, while also a sentence later screaming about how wrong this all is being pride month... please, I can't.
As a black woman I didn’t get offended but that’s just me 🤷🏾♀️
@@kairanelle1380 Americans ONLY think of and ONLY take BLACK slavery into consideration or importance tbh.
If you look at the rights and living status of what an indentured servant is you would say they're a slave by your modern judgment. )
You got the SAME thing except the argument was " you work for me and don't get paid and in return you get the same shelter and food you got as a slave. " like . . . ?
and this isn't to devalue black slavery.

Quick opinion: since judges are being (edited) so positive, Violet is the SOLE criticism out there. So she’s getting EVERYTHING!!!
Yes she can m be and don't agree with her in that perspective but doesn't mean she should get bullied.

She is quite literally paid to be mean and "downright cruel". Fans lived for her shade during the ball episodes. This has nothing to do with violet and everything to do with the fact that they got tired of their new opinionated fave (and the lack of drama on this season).
@Judy Mwanzo I'm sorry but it's a valid opinion to not like Raja's outfits. I didn't like them either that week.

Violet gave them an ultimatum, just like Valentina used to do on S9 while taking longer to do her makeup (what they're gonna do? Start without me?)
It's always unsurprising how quickly these company run to shield certain queens, and yet has allowed racism, and toxic bullying to occur with nearly all of it's POC queens!
Wait, seriously? Tea.
I don't think this has anything to do with shielding Violet.
Sooner or later they will move any DR content to their streaming service and they probably thought now is a good time, as it's a talking point.

Honestly the “this is why Derek don’t like you” line was one of the funniest parts of the pit stop

As soon as I saw that tweet saying you're gunna have a field day with this I knew I was in for a treat 🍿

Check out Yuhua’s Bootleg opinions, it’s far more fair with constructive criticism.
Also I’ve seen a lot of videos of ppl reposted like 1-2 min videos of what violet and mik said about each look in fpr
She's a Busy Queen indeed
It was a pointless season, was just a Shea ass licking season nobody else would have won
As SOON as I saw that Twitter thread, I said to myself, "ohhh Bussy got some HOT tea today, girl!!!"
On another note, I do miss Raja and Raven on FPW. I love Violet's "unbothered" POV, but considering how toxic the fans are, I think the idea Monet had was GREAT: Have Violet on The Pit Stop to judge the ball episode every season.
An important part of growing from your mistakes is not getting incredibly defensive when anyone vaguely mentions them.
Your'e interpretation of what i say is not my problem.
youre being racist. now apologize to me please thanks
There’s always someone like you in the replies to posts about discrimination. I hope you heal.
@@TS-xn1mc dont resist, where is my apology?
@@TS-xn1mc oh wait there isnt one because maybe calling something racist doesnt actually make it racism. But there is no one who WANTS racism to be everywhere more than the people like you who demand apologies where theres been no victimization. eventually you might grow up and realize how counterproductive and damaging your desensitization of the words "racism" "sexism" and "homophobia" are and you wont throw them around at everything just because you want to be a victim of something you arent
"She also quit drag at one point"
"Which i do agree with"
Kills me
so many damn comments talking about how violet cant take it but can dish it as if thousands of hate messages is something you should just shrug off. idc how grown of tough someone comes off as, hate is hate, and hate will make people want to quit and hide so it can stop.
i can see what happened from her pov but yall apparently cant so ill spell it out:
season 13 bag ball she was harsh and got PRAISE, saying it was hilarious
season 14 she was harsh and PRAISED for being hilarious
AS7 she was harsh but cause its ur favs she was hated and attacked buy hundreds of followers
she tries to stop the hate by removing the whole series
people call her sensitive because she cant take the HUNDREDS of hate comments for something people told her was funny.
"Nope, apparently it sells popcorn at music festivals and calls it her booked and busy gigs" Jaw on the floor. I fucking love Jiggly.
i been SAYING that Violet has such a Eurocentric view of fashion, she can’t seem to appreciate any other style than her own (and she is allowed to) but her cultural ignorance is showing when reviewing looks
Ngl, but I started watching the FPR that sent Twitter on a frenzy and I stopped watching, not because of what they said - but because they're so boring. 😴
this makes me think about Katia.s Read, probably her waist size still bigger than her IQ, despite her waist seems smaller now
Omg shut up
Bitch, Eurocentric, when Raja dressed like Louis XIV and she still booted her ?? 💀💀 That's pretty ironic
Omggg the thumbnail - I though you legit did a Violet Chachki lewk for this and were dragged out as her. 🤣🤣🤣💀
As for India she wasn’t even talked about really and she decided to stir the pot then cry when others responded to her…
Fscts
She has a narrow view on fashion because she booted your fave? Or what? Lol it's not that deep. She's been doing drag for years and a met gala attendee. A random saying her view on fashion is narrow is laughable. Do you even do drag?
@@Daniel-ui3zy it's her opinion, she's entilted to it. She said that because of it she stopped watching, nothing less, nothing more. 5Gs. Good god girl get a grip.
You're right, it's not that deep, continue your day.
@@GniinG ....your comment is exactly what toxic fandom looks and sounds like. Immature, ignorant and hateful.
@@Daniel-ui3zy if it isn’t that deep why are you so upset at people who just don’t like violet lmao.
@@jordanthomas9289 that makes sense
@@sandra-jones very impressive I would’ve thought there would’ve been a contract in place or something
@Christopher Vergara it's still impressive. To bully a production company that's paying you and you have a contract with.
I love Derrick mentioning IMHO and Alexis Bevels in that. It's soo good.
Derrick reading is art - she’s petty, she’s shady, she’s not afraid to go for a low blow when she needs to clear a bitch and her hashtags are GOLD 👏
The way Derrick tweets and uses those hashtags is the art Sasha Velour was talking about.
Iced coffee addiction is so real and so yummy! Before it was alcohol now it's iced cofeee
That’s a healthy swap! I typically drink several shots of espresso over ice with oat milk :)
Really... all india had to do was acknowledge the ill timed choice of words and explain what she really meant. That's literally it.
“Oh no! I’m sorry”, the end. But nope, she doubled down and had her husband do it too. Pure foolishness.
I have been waiting for this one! India blocked me ages ago so I couldn't watch it go down
😅😆
India really chose the wrong day to have a moment...

Love a Bussy video with my coffee!🖤❤️🖤
That’s why Violet won’t be on an All Stars season.
This shameful bullying...i am so over it. Thanks for always being civil about it Bussy!
I've been waiting for this one.
Bussy turning into a Skinty Queen like trixie... we stan
I thought the same 😍
SOMEONE TELL MEATBALL THEIR FLIGHT FOR HELL WILL BE READY IN AN HOUR
That picture was a jump scare.
I really hope the community becomes more supportive and positive. How many queens have to speak up for people to understand that being hateful isn’t cute

Reddit has been burning the past week! I live for the drama!!!
You are fast on feeding us an amazing tea. The edit and comments are amazing!
Yes take them death threats
@@bobbyboo22_ Well, stupidity like that is ALWAYS behaviour of the unhinged. Those who send death threats to drag queens due to RDR need regular doses of paraldehyde and thorazine, then get lives.
What's that saying... "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
During indias original season people felt bad for her because of the whole mimi situation and she made things ten times worse by going on all stars imo because I had no idea about whatever drama she had with other queens until it was mentioned on the show and now with her bringing this up after Derricks pit stop episode where she wasn't really going to go into the whole India drama. I got the Britney references but let's be honest there's better Britney references and when I saw that I thought about the timing of it.
Fandom: silence when racists are in the community harassing the black queens.
Also Fandom: harasses a queen for having opinions that is different from everyone else.
Its on brand tbh.
for the people saying "it was clearly a britney reference" believe it or not, not everyone has listened to britney's whole discography. so no, it wasn't "clearly" a britney reference
I'm so grateful India took some time from her super busy schedule to watch Derrick in The Pit Stop and give us all this unintentional comedy.

OMG. Literally me when Derrick responded with that plaque read and pic 😳😮😂☠️☠️☠️
As problematic and ignorant India was this time, Derrick’s “Plaque” comment and Meatball’s photo was cruel. Not even shady, just downright cruel and body shaming. Not a fan of India by any means, but I just thought that was a low blow showing the photo and laughing at someone’s teeth. C’mon Bussy, you’re better than this ❤️ No hate to anyone whatsoever x
If she's just jealous that she wasn't blessed with the same opportunity then just say that. She got what she was asking for.
P.S. I love your mullet, it's cute!😍
