Post Track Day Carnage & Upcoming Upgrades!!!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- After taking the Civic to the track to see how capable it is in it’s FBO stage, it’s now time to give it some other upgrades like handling and brakes. With a 1:27.42 time to beat, there are plenty of ways to improve that time, and I will be starting off with the unarguably weakest points of the car.
As mentioned in this video, there are going to be many Civic videos to come. They can be found below 👇
▶︎ Suspension & Chassis Upgrades - COMING SOON
▶︎ Adjustable Coilovers Install - COMING SOON
▶︎ Ergonomic Upgrades - COMING SOON
▶︎ Brembo Big Brake Kit - COMING SOON

wow this guy is going full send on the 9th gen! cant wait to see the final product! 🤯 🔥
You and me both!
@@milanmastracci eeeeeeeeeee
Youre gonna want more front camber then those BC's are going to allow you. Most people are saying that -3.5 to -4 is the sweet spot which will maximize turn-in and grip. As for the brake pads, the DTC-60/70 pads might be a bit overkill if you also plan to drive your car on the street because they are optimized for higher heat ranges. Im running the Hawk HP+ which was way better than the HPS I was running but isnt a full track pad like the DTC series. Also not sure what brake fluid youre running but I would recommend ATE Type 200.
I appreciate the input! What other ways do you suggest to get more front camber?
The DTC pads I purchased are the DTC30s, which should be much better than the pads I was running, but nothing too aggressive for what I'll be throwing at it. If I was going with a full blown track car, I would consider the 60s-80s. As for fluid, I'm running Motul RBF660 for the clutch and brake system. No complaints with the fluid at the track. I've had a good experience with them in my Z and MINI at the track. I've been wanting to try out the Castrol fluid though. That's on the list.
@@milanmastracci are you running camber bolts? If not I would recommend the SPC bolts. You should only need one per side but I'm running 2 per side now (just finished the install last night). If you're on Instagram I can send you what my setup looks like right now
I just love the 9th gen such a good chassis and with a ton of aftermarket options
Couldn't agree with you more! I know this might sound a bit biased, but I think this is the last of the GOOD Hondas. N/A, relatively small and light, 2.4L with 6 speed LSD manual transmission. The 10th gen seems like it got way too big, and the 11th isn't any different. Maybe it's just me ahah
@@milanmastracci exactly my friend
Yes! Been watching your vids ever since purchasing my 9th ! Can’t wait for all the new videos ! Keep up the good work Fam 🙏🏽
Milan, you gave up an 2009 Accord gen 8 COUPE for a 4 door Civic???? I will never give up my 2009 Coupe. Best of luck with the racing!
Any links to these parts ? interested of the exhaust bushing
Love the 9th Gen updates. Keep it up! Great job, Milan.
Glad you like them! More to come 😁
What happened with the K24 300 hp engine ?
Where did you get the brembos?
Best upgrade to improve lap times? Tires.
When you putting kfrank in
Are those the tl type s brembos? That’s why you have the spacer for the rotor right?
Awesome videos man I'm currently doing a RBC swap and want to add the j37 throttle body. Have you ever had any idle issues at all ?
Can’t wait 🤘🏻
Niceeee...👍👍👍
What happened to the mini?!
When’s the next VQ coming?
Need a detailed install video to help me out with my Si
Oh buddy there will be some for sure! The paint on this thing is killing me knowing I haven't given it a proper detail since buying it 🥲
What happened to the civic videos
Will you have a link to all the bushing you purchased in the next video ?
Sure will, along with part numbers 👍
@@milanmastracci where’s the link :(
@@milanmastracci Awesome !!!
What happened to the Mini? Thought that was the track car?
What if all of my cars were track cars 🤣
did anyone ever get the bushing info?
Nope. I'm curious about that, as well. I'm sure there is similar info on an 8th gen civic forum.
@@e_yiizy ive been looking around for years and no one have replies or has any info on them
Check out garage 16 in mississauga

Hello Milan
Hello Sahith 👊
I used to follow your page but when you started adding in extra modifications that get a little extra complicated it got boring. Those DIY videos you first started with grew your page quickly but now the videos are not getting too many views because of these extra mods. DIY vids you used to make were really good! But now the videos are ehhhh and boring. Could’ve probably stuck with easy DIY videos (kind of like ChrisFix - he’s still sticking with easy or average Joe vids and still gets him millions of views).
Hope your not double clutching haha 😆 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️
I've been waiting for the continuation of this series. Can't wait for them uploads!
More to come! 🙌
Videos are great and very informative! Love it man! I have a stock si w/ k24z7 with a greddy high flow air intake(was free) but besides that completely stock, I have hopes of supercharging it with the kraftwerks kit one day but till then any advice on upgrades to make more power out of it other than hondata tuner ?? Is the RBC swap worth it in your opinion for the loss in low end torque for more top end? Sorry for all the questions but curious!
Holly cow cant wait for these videos😊
Just jeep to learn how to brake with your heel and toe on the gas pedal arm.
Are those rsx rims on your car?
Camber is burnt rice
So what’s the status of the Z?
She's been parted out and sold. Give this a watch: ua-cam.com/video/j7yCkCmxWq4/v-deo.html
Where are you tracking your cars without a helmet? Seeing driving gloves and no helmet is weird here in the US...
My local race track at TMP Cayuga. The open lapping days don't require you to use a helmet, however for any organized racing, that is needed and so much more.
@@milanmastracci That's wild there are no helmets required. Here in the States, there are a lot more rules and safety for track days.
I can’t wait for the new video I’m currently building mine as well so I’m excited to see what’s next 🔥
Any thoughts on how to modify the new K24Z7 motor for Acura?
great info as usual, where can I buy the suspension bushings?
I'm just here to get some ideas for my 04' Element 🤣
You just earned a subscriber! I recently got a 12’ fb6 and and love your vids
Thanks Mariano! I have plenty more content on the way 👍
Looking forward to seeing you/ meeting you at tmp this summer man! I have my own track car which i compete at cscs with but i bought the wife another 14 si coupe hfp which she wants to get more track/seat time in.
That's awesome brother! You'll see me there for sure 👊
I'm also track building my FG4, put the 6 piston Wilwood BBK and I expect to test it next month. Have you considered gear ratio? I'm currently installing the Gear x 1-6 close gear ratio and looking forward to test it at the track along with the new brakes.
Love your content!
That's awesome Julio! I would love to change the gearing on the car, but I will most likely wait until I install the built engine since it will have a bunch more power. The stock FD and gear ratios might not be ideal for that much power.
Any idea if a k24z3 will bolt up to a Rsx? I found one that's pretty cheap and was wondering if It would go in. Was reading and know about the mods needed just the bolt up is in question
I dont think it will unforuatnely. There are too many differences between the earlier V1 K20 & K24A engines and the K24Z's.
Honestly i think tein would be a better coilover option for your civic and hondas in general. Not to throw dirt on bc, bc is phenomenal coilovers and have them installed on my car, but i find that tein works better for japanese cars (Honda, Toyota, Nissan, mazda etc). Also tein has the the benefit of the EDFC wich lets you control dampening from inside the car and thats incredible
I've had a great experience with BC in the past, especially given I had over 5+ years of daily, winter & track use with my old setup. I would be down to try some other brands and see how they stack up 👍
@@milanmastracci yeah no doubt bc is, as i said, amazing i have a set installed on my vag, but im all about trying new brands and having experience if someone asks me about them
Big break kit let’s go 😊
💪
I just see so much money spent that could have been used on parts for a new Z! Where's the new Z at man!! Need to get one for summer!
I've been looking but I'm going to be a bit more picky when finding the replacement 👍
A perfect condition z will be hard to come by..unless you find another owned by a old fart like you last one.
When do you plan on putting the k24z3 with the a2 head into the car?
Very soon! I want to get an idea as to how the car behaves FBO with the rest of the chassis upgrades like suspension and then brakes, then more power 👍
Can’t wait to see it I’m trying to get a k24z3 with a k24a2 head for my 2012 9th gen I’m fbo as of right now
My 9th gen sedan is on Swifts/Truharts, and Godspeed rear camber arms. Love it. Good vid!
