Hi mate ! I enjoy watching your videos.I too lived in Melbourne [east st kilda] back in the 70's and 80's .But now live in crete .Your videos bring back lots of loving memmories. And i want to thank you .May OUR LORD BLESS YOU ALL IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
Very cool! Crete with its famous ruins probably hasn't changed much since the 80's but Melbourne and many parts of Australia are unrecognizable today. Check out our other channel where I film us having fun around the city and country. ua-cam.com/channels/WcAv-oHnbAkiUm-G6HfUeQ.html
I’ve just read that if you grow tamarillo from cuttings from the top of the plant, the new plant will be much smaller and branch out lower down, so much less susceptible to wind damage, easier to grow in pots, and much easier to cover and protect from pests. Haven’t tried it myself, but thought it might help someone! .
Thank you. This is a great tree and an insanely delicious fruit. Rare to have such a productive tree in part shade. You could support your branches into an umbrella shape with that banana trunk, or a stake to help support with both the wind and fruit load. I am pondering what to do as the bush mice and possums virtually stripped my plant. Then I tried mosquito wire bags individually made for each fruit (from self sufficient me) and just as they ripened, they chewed through the remaining 5 mosquito wire individually bagged fruit. Ugh😤😳The only spot I have is under towering Angopheras. In a high wind area.
I live in Hawaii and I get about 150 in of rain per year, I have a tamarillo and it has been struggling for 2 years. I think I am going to try to propagate some cuttings and plant in a medium that drains very quickly, hopefully I have better luck, growing a tomato here is extremely hard unless it is a cherry tomato
Hey !enjoy your videos, just want to remind you that your fence up, constant protection from the wind, so your trees are not trained Can you tell me where you get the long white mulberry Thanks, mate
Oh, my heart hurts 😀noooooooo not the tamarilo break the kingswood but keep ya paws off the tamarilos. Just a think, look at all the plants you have now.😁. My dad grew these 30 years ago so when my friend gave me a tamarilo , I dug all the seeds out and buried them now I’ve got 20 baby plants😁 i’ve been going through all the videos on how you grow them? So grateful I seen this as I would of planted them in the wrong places.. 🙏🏻thankyou and I am truly sorry for the act of god that damaged your plants. Our neighbours gum tree branch blew off in the wind, smashed our garage roof, the wind then took half of the roof into all the powerlines next door and the insurance man came. He just said it’s an act of God🤣 because of that one gumtree I’m surrounded by neighbours that don’t like me now because I wouldn’t pay for the destruction but I didn’t have to. I was fully insured and I nearly fell over when he said it’s an act of God… even though we’ve been hassling the neighbour to chop his bloody tree down for 10 years.. have a peaceful day everyone…..

Possums stripped half of this year's crop. I've planted a new tree, so loads to come.

@@RealLifeFruitopia tienes video?
I've seen a cool technique where ppl cut a plastic bottle in half, and then put the top over the cutting for a humidity chamber
yeah I've seen it too. It'll be sunny every day this coming week, so inside the greenhouse it'll be a sweat box with the door shut.
Really annoying, had the same last month here on the Gold Coast, last the tree 😓😓
Good
