Agreed. I have a cheap version I got off Amazon and am happy with it. But it does have issues with the strength curve as was mentioned in this video. Linking to a cable machine would be ideal.
I really had high hopes for this product, but in the one IG post they have you could tell there’s a bunch of play in all the swivel points and your review defiantly confirms it. With a little bit of fine tuning this could be a great product, but it probably got rushed to be “first to market”. We’ll see what V2 looks like hopefully. Great review.

Nice review. I appreciate your honesty. I like the fact that it can also do pec flys and always appreciate new home gym innovation. But I bought a relatively cheap (ER KANG Power Rack Lateral Raise Attachment) off Amazon. No pin adaptor needed and works pretty well as a lateral attachment. Of course it doesn't do chest flys and has the same limitations this one does with the strength curve. But the one I got is pretty smooth and works great for what it is. I feel the burn after using it so I'm happy with the purchase.

Always appreciate your honesty. There are only a few people I totally trust and you're one of them. It's a cool device for those who have big racks with lots of extra permanent space to put it but like you said cables and dumbbells do about the same and NOTHING builds side delts more than what's called the bulldozer side lateral where you can use 2-3x more weight and it torches side delts. It's a cool device and the owner should be proud. If it could hook to functional trainer cables for perfect resistance curve and was a bit lighter and easier to add/remove I think I might even want one. For home gym owners variety is key.

I have a Rep PR4000 with dual athena cables love it and since I'm 53 and dieting (lost 50lbs so far) I need to go heavy one say chest workout day and light with higher reps and more sets next or I'm constantly sore. So because of this thinking about getting lever arms/jammer arms. No way paying what PRX is selling their new ones for but thinking of getting another smaller rack to put them on get used Rogue ones with the Vendetta strength adjuster. What do you think about them if setup right ie with vendetta or something similar. Crandall fitness looks good too and I'd add and remove them to my rack but they're like 73lbs EACH lever arm! I mostly want this for doing hammer strength like chest and shoulder presses. I know you are a big fan of a company who has a lever arm type press machine curious your advice Is the resistance curve BS on most jammers even with good vendetta or similar attachments?

Rarely do them as kind of a pain to setup would use your recommendation far more.

Love the folding/stowing handles. Hopefully he can make the weight horns stowable as well. Otherwise super versatile. Would love to see Rep fitness partner with this guy to mass produce/add international shipping and polish the design.

I don’t have a video going into detail with my ab strap set up; just my updated pec fly attachment review where I show how I changed the arms’ configuration and attached functional trainer handles. I’m presently using the Ab Straps so I don’t reaggravate my golfer’s elbow. The set up is basically the same I show in the updated video, I simply loop the Ab straps around the pec fly arms. Once I get tension on them, they stay in place.

The ab straps are somewhat new because I kept reaggravating my golfer’s elbow with pec flys, so I had to take my hands out of the equation. Seemed like a fair review, its cool to see someone making an attachment that offers multiple functions, did you try fixing a resistance band to the floor at an opposite angle to the bar when doing one armed lateral raises to improve the resistance curve ? That said even if it did help the setup time would be a total pain.
Having greater resistance at the stretched position is better for hypertrophy. It seems the pec fly design would be ideal. The peak contraction has been overemphasized.
Is there a video link for the hack you did for lateral raise with the cable machine? I want to try the same movement but want to see how you set it up with your functional trainer.
@@ricosuave8395 I’ve shown a few variations over the last couple years, but not a tutorial or a video showing the set up in detail. I’m using my cable extenders, Grizzly Ankle Cuffs, and my bench is raised into its highest setting. The functional trainer’s cables are in their lowest setting and the cables cross over one another during the exercise.
Out of curiosity, can you mount this to your powertec functional trainer and connect the weight horns to a single pulley using a daisy chain? Might fit the resistance curve and make it selectorized.
@@BenKolka this is a very good idea and I think it will work. The uprights on the Streamline Functional Trainer have holes just like the Powertec Power Rack’s uprights. The only downside is that I wouldn’t be able to fully use the functional trainer because the attachment would obstruct moving the pulley up and down. It would be cool to try, but I don’t think it would be better than using the functional trainer for lateral raises, pec flys, and reverse flys. I might try it at some point. Thanks so much.

Seems like a prototype and needs some improving. Just like you, I also cannot stand rack attached devices. Too much of a pain loading & unloading them and their efffectiveness falls short but some people might like this. Conventional lateral raises offer too much internal rotation for my shoulders so the only laterals I do are cheat laterals with dumbbells where I externally rotate my shoulders at the top of the movement. This minimizes the chance of injury and pain. Nice, Honest review, if only all equipment reviewers told the truth as you do, but then they wouldn't have any equipment to review so I understand why they do what they do but it doesn't make it right. Thnkx for being Honest as you always are, I really hope it pays off for you. You deserve success for the money you are forfeitting for being honest. Take Care

Ever since I got a functional trainer I use the dumbbells as my #2 exercise as I use unilateral cable lateral raises as my #1. So, it’s trick:, I could switch the arms to get a better pec fly, but lose the most ideal reverse fly. Also, and less appealing is to switch the arms for each exercise. However, a quick arm switch (that doesn’t require tools) could be a cool feature if there ever is a V2.

I wouldn’t get you to review equipment, your putting this down for not having a good range of movement but you don’t go above the shoulders when doing side lateral raises you only go shoulder level so you could lower the machine and it would work great . I think this company needs to get a proper bodybuilder to review this equipment.
@@strongestfan9823 it sounds like you didn’t watch the whole review. I mentioned that I raised it…not lowered it (like you said), which did give me a full range of motion for lateral raises. The attachment has a stopping point so there’s only so high it goes and with equipment; you typically want to align the joint that is being worked with the machine’s axis of rotation.

@jagleaso I’ll review products I don’t like…heck, this product didn’t win me over and I reviewed it. The other product that I mentioned at the beginning of this video I couldn’t review because I couldn’t use it due to my lower back.
I wouldn’t get you to review equipment, your putting this down for not having a good range of movement but you don’t go above the shoulders when doing side lateral raises you only go shoulder level so you could lower the machine and it would work great . I think this company needs to get a proper bodybuilder to review this equipment.
@@strongestfan9823 it sounds like you didn’t watch the whole review. I mentioned that I raised it…not lowered it (like you said), which did give me a full range of motion for lateral raises. The attachment has a stopping point so there’s only so high it goes and with equipment; you typically want to align the joint that is being worked with the machine’s axis of rotation.
You need to figure out why you don't look like you workout lol
