I saw the original first episode, the first time it aired. Wilbur said he always wanted a pony, and then said it was a long time since he was a child. Mr. Ed said “it’s been a long time since I was a pony”. Even as a teenager, I hated inaccuracy! Horses and ponies are different! Horses start their lives as foals, either colts or fillies. I also have to say as a very young girl in grade school, I had a crush on Alan Young when he was in the movie Tom Thumb.
I Grew up in burbank, Mr. Ed was one of the great shows I grew up on. Only thing I'd have to say, is there is no such thing as ample parking in burbank these days. 😅
Wilbur always drove a Studebaker. 5:50 Extra drives a Studebaker. 6:40 Two Studes in the background. Addison drove a Studebaker Hawk. Ed and Wilbur shot a commercial for the '61 Lark commenting on the redesigned OHV six engine's "performability", Ed claimng to have taken a demonstration drive.
I just learned that "sweet tea" for horses is a small amount of sweet feed soaked in water. It's used to make sure a horse drinks enough water throughout the day.

I Loved watching Mr. Ed with my mom when I was a kid growing up when it was in the original Nick@Nite Line up!!! A🐴Horse is a 🐎 horse, of course of course, & No One can talk to a 🐎 of course...Unless that 🐎 is the famous Mr. Ed😊
As a kid in the 60s I believed Mr Ed could talk
I saw the original first episode, the first time it aired. Wilbur said he always wanted a pony, and then said it was a long time since he was a child. Mr. Ed said “it’s been a long time since I was a pony”. Even as a teenager, I hated inaccuracy! Horses and ponies are different! Horses start their lives as foals, either colts or fillies.
I also have to say as a very young girl in grade school, I had a crush on Alan Young when he was in the movie Tom Thumb.
Very interesting trivia about Mr. Ed.
There was almost a remake of the show with Sherman (George Jefferson) voicing Mr. Ed. But I believe the show did not get past the pilot stage.
I saw it it’s on UA-cam it’s mean spirited Lucky they didn’t make it They would of gotten complaints! 😮
I'm wondering if there's anything you can do with the Andy Griffith Show. Mayberry has to have some weird history!
I Grew up in burbank, Mr. Ed was one of the great shows I grew up on. Only thing I'd have to say, is there is no such thing as ample parking in burbank these days. 😅
I loved this show!!!!
There is a grave in Talequah Oklahoma that is marked Mr Ed
Grew up with mr ed,loved him, still do
“Mr. Ed” 😁… Wonderful show… Beautiful memories… Regards🇶🇦
I just learned that "sweet tea" for horses is a small amount of sweet feed soaked in water. It's used to make sure a horse drinks enough water throughout the day.
