From a dealer in central New York, I can fill in some of your questions. First, yes, you can still get cradles new, for surprisingly cheap price, less than $700. Not a terrible job to change: what you do is you put it on the left, put the new cradle on the floor underneath the engine, then put a stand underneath the car engine… On bolt the old cradle, drop town, cut it in half with the torch, throw it out, and lift a new one in place. Sometimes these cars have, good cradles still but the bushings rust out; those are available as well.
However, you still have issues with the body and the rockers themselves. If you find a fabricator, that knows what he’s doing, and is willing to do it, yes, that could be saved; but then your far beyond what you could ever get back out of the car. I can’t believe you wasted any money fixing the exhaust and trying to get the smell out of the interior.
On the upside, you have an excellent low mileage drivetrain, lots of good body panels and glass, and an exceptionally nice interior. That means your best hope would be too find some enthusiast pages on Facebook, and find somebody who wants a good parts car. I don’t know about your state, but in New York it is illegal for a dealer to sell pass safety inspection unless you issue a junk title, which means you can’t sell retail.
Theoretically, you could take out the battery and the tires and some rest to the crusher for a few hundred bucks. But I personally wouldn’t do that, I would put some effort into seeing if I could find a collector that wanted it for parts. In any case, not a good situation.

And then you get to deal with all the rusty fasteners, extract them if necessary when they are stuck or break.
Car is rotted out, its scrap. Can it be fixed, yes. Is it economical to fix, no.

I would have bought it too, but my Mom had a Park Ave . The transmission went bad at 72,000 miles and in diagnosing that they found a lot of rust underneath and our mechanic said you won't like me, meaning the bill would be high and the rust repair wouldn't last. Why did the transmission go??? My Mom drove it easy, and if I drove it, I drove it easy. GM had done a repaint at no charge. The problems of living in Maine and the car washes recycle water, which in the winter has salt and whatever chemicals they put on the road. Craig, I would put the not so great cars at your other lot and have nice, inspected vehicles at Flying Wheels. My Mom had sticker shock and bought a new Hyundai that went 34,000 trouble-free miles, and my Mom drove it the day before she died. Mom was 81 and had lived a good life, died at home as she wanted.

Mostly not true. Almost all auctions say that below $2500 or so there as is, no arbitration for anything, including frame. Also, they frequently will mention frame, only these days they don’t say frame, when the auctioneer reads the conditions at the beginning, he’ll just slip in the word ‘structural’; that means there’s at least some rust on the frame.

In fact, the tech told me he didn't know how the engine didn't fall out going over a bump. For a vehicle of that age it's still not too bad considering I honestly believe it would still make a good car for someone with a little bit of money time and work 19:38

I had to pick between an Olds Aurora with the 4.0 Northstar V8 and a Riveria for my 2nd car... I went with the Aurora and loved it. It was ugly AF but the engine sounded great and the interior was super lux.

You need to do a video with the Riviera 3.8 Supercharged how long will the motor last with no oil at WOT. Then bring it to the scrap yard getting crushed. Bye bye bye, what 90’s band was that Craig?

I live in Nevada and just picked up a 1998 Lumina with 200k miles.
Underneath the car looked brand new.
Hate the east coast rust buckets.
