Good on ya mate, great work please keep it up because you have a lot of interested viewers already! ! You can tell the time goes into the filming and editing, really, well done!
This was my first rebuild project too! Best way to learn it to just get into it and give it a go. Lots of manuals out there like I used in this video! As long as you’ve got the practical knowledge and eagerness to give it a go, you’ll be fine 👍
Don't worry too much about hand standing the block. Saw a guy do it on his fz-t build. He's running +250hp through a reasonably older engine and hand sanded his head and block down. Does the trick for most builds
Oh legend that does help the piece of mind thank you! We’ve had it running for nearly a week now and it’s all running sweet as! Fingers crossed it continues to perform 👍
No criticism but I would have used an oilstone on your surfaces but a really good watch ,looking forward to the next video and many more well done Will and your mates.
I love you content soo much I learn alot and appreciate you taking the time to editing and making these videos... Just a quick consultation. Is okay to manually lock your fan clutch permanently on a 1hz ?
Cheers mate I appreciate that feedback! I’m glad you enjoy my content. As far as the fan clutch goes, it’s not ideal as it will prolong the time it takes for your 1hz to reach operating temperature. The idea of the clutch is that it lets the engine heat up to operating temperature and then helps maintain that temperature. A silicone fan hub is ideal. You can replace the silicone inside these hubs if you’re worried, or a new hub is inexpensive and easy to replace!
Hi Will! Did you measure those bottom end bearings with the paste? How did you know what size to get, there are 4-5 options from ACL? And those top end bolts, were there 2 lengths or all the same?
We got factory replacements specifically for the 1HDFTE from ACL so we were sure they were the right size. And there are 2 different length of head bolt. The longer ones go on the outside of the tappet cover, along where the intake manifold bolts on. I think this might be covered in the manual I linked in the description also :)

Legend! Thanks for the kind words :)
Stunning editing mate! 🤩 The time and effort! Certainly paid off
Hopefully one day I will get involved with a engine project. Haven't had such a experience before.
Like the mixed colour scheme on the engine.

Any feedback is good feedback! Thank you. I’ll take that into consideration for future projects- never even thought of it! 👍
Nice info mate.
Nice work man!
What headgasket size did you go with?
Good job boys but I think I might have used an oilstone on surfaces, just me .

@@WillsLandcruiser thank you! You have been most helpful. Your channel is golden(especially for us LC100 owners)!
Why did you pull the head off?
Damn block brighter than my future
😂👌
Awesomeness 👍

Why not fit a new water pump?
It looked brand new. I’d say it was done really recently before I bought it
