Mate you are briliant. thankyou. EDIT: I got a distinction for my literature review on "How architecture can be used as a humane tool to reduce recidivism in prisons".
Really really helpful, helped me out of a complete mindblock with only a couple weeks left to start submitting proposals. Thank you, really appreciate it!
Wow! Described beautifully ! I so wish I would have seen this video years ago! These four golden columns are not only helpful for architectural thesis but I find it helpful for any thesis project in general.
Thank you so much, I've been stuck for so long, but after watching your video, the idea immediately came to me, this was very helpful. And will definitely share your approach.. Keep up 💪
Guys, thank you so much for showing your appreciation. 🙏 I have dropped an online crash course on "architectural-concept design" called "Demystifying Architectural Competitions" and I think it would be very useful for students starting their thesis design. The course is discounted and hopefully, you will benefit from my " N.I.C.e" framework for coming up with unique architectural concepts. Hope it helps 🤞 This is the concept design Course. www.udemy.com/course/demystifying-architectural-competitions/
I'm in my final semester and it's stressing not to have my idea defined. Like I use to have an idea of what I wanted to do, but I lost it in the way I think. Thanks for your contribution 🙌🏼
I am going to be a senior this year and as early as possible I already started planning foe my experience in my college course which is architecture. Your video was really helpful and it shed a light to what my future thesis will be covering🙂

Hi, came across your video today, the observations and approach is really very interesting, and I can see it helping me in finding my best understanding for a project. But the important question is that how do I justify a context? This approach is kind of like deciding the project and then finding a relevant space for it... If rather I have a site and then derive a program that responds locally??
Good question: it depends on where you are at with the project. This technique helps brainstorming to find new and interesting intersections between different things BEFORE starting a project. It will guide you towards deciding upon a site etc in case you have the liberty of choosing your own set of conditions, as one would for a thesis project. You are right, we cannot completely justify the context as it exists already. We can discover it and work accordingly. That is exactly how one should do it. But in case of a completely blank canvas where anything under the sun is possible, this technique can guide you towards discovering where your heart and interests lie. Once the site is selected, it pretty much takes over the process automatically and one must allow the project to mould around requirements and constraints. Just so it's clear, site is just one of the many factors that drives decision making so don't get too bogged down by a dogmatic approach. There is always room to play with. Hope it helps and keep the conversations going!
Stopped architecture school for two years now. I still have my thesis left :( I hope I can get through this soon. I'm still hesitant to enroll because I still don't have a topic for my thesis. If I fail, my tuition fee will be a waste.
Camille Estella there’s a saying: the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago-the next best time is right now. It’s never to late. Interestingly enough, thesis is the best part of architecture studies and we are made to believe that it’s a pain. I think you should enroll and THEN decide what you want to do. Overthinking can sometimes be the difference between thinking and getting it done:) I wish you all the best!
Hello I'm an architecture student,, I want to ask how you justify the form (shape) of the building I was asked this question on my jury presentation.... I couldn't justify it
Hey... After watching this video, I came up with topic Center for women's mental health. I don't want it be a hospital. I want to make it more of a healing place. But there are no direct case studies and my clg hardly allows to experiment. Dur to this reason, I am myself not clear how will I manage and wat i want to present. Plz guide!
