I wonder if they realize that a lot of people hold them in the same regard as some that were mentioned.

@Roshann Harris they mean the difference between written works and spoken word. Like when you read a Maya Angelou poem it has a strong impact bug to hear it read is theatrical and more in depth. Universal. To be able to take a work and speak it aloud, and for it to keep its impact, can be difficult for some if they aren't accustomed to writing for their works to be read aloud. Stage works are written specifically to be spoken so there are certain emotions, words, and pauses that are emphasized in order for the listeners to really feel what is being said as well as get the point clearly without seeing it on paper and pondering it.

love that carvs mentions Jive poetic. local influences in modern day are important to be recognized, like wednesday night slam would be completely different at nuyo without jive. love love love this.

But Other Than That, You Can See That Those Things That Influence Each Of Them Makes It Possible To Be Different & Diverse. The Way They Perform Is Just Great To Be A Collective.

After watching this, I wished that every name of their influences mentioned, was written down somewhere so I too could be influenced by them. I love the strivers row.

I love how the last video Joshua was mentioned to be nerdy I myself am a little nerdy and hearing him say his influences was crazy because I've heard those names before Expecally anis I downloaded a few of that mans poems while I was in high school (just graduated) and he and Alysia where in a playlist I labeled poetry there where always on repeat. Funny how I also listen to Joshua. o.o
