Yeah same, only problem I had with mine was the white markers for the slider just vanished very quickly over time, unlike the experience I had with the Inpulse 300, but I was so happy with it I didn't give a shit about sending it back and saying "Oi, replace this please!" and just kept using it anyway lol. It is a solid controller, but I think it would have been even better if they had the FX features on the 300 controllers to go in tandem with the FX features already in the central mixer area so you had room for extra functionality without having to rely on tweaking the features in Djuced. Well worth the money though despite the faded crossfader markings on mine.
Mine was great for 3 years but now the left volume slider has basically failed so I can't use that side any more; software only now. Kind of a clincher eh? Plus they have zero warranty or repair options in Australia so I'm screwed. Time to get a new one. I'd never recommend them if someone lives in Australia.
Absolutely love the review. I’ve always had 2 sets. My stay at home set consists of mk2 technics 1210s with Reloop Elite Mixer and Phase. My gig unit was a Numark NS7 II. However the Numark is dying (as good as dead) I don’t do many gigs. I record Radio shows on my home set. So this is a serious consideration. I would go for the Rane One if I had Rane One money, but, I don’t. I do hope that upgrades for the crossfader will come soon as this seems to be the biggest negative from yourselves and Mojaxx.
I think all you experts should mention on any of these controller, dj gear reviews, that a high spec laptop should be used. I have a rev 1 and with my laptop which is 2 years old, it's hitor miss with certain features working, mainly vinyl mode

Belt drive is no problem. Numark came up with a much better controller of course without the belt drive many years ago, just no one is looking at it. I mean Numark NS7, NS7FX, NS7II and NS7III. Currently they are not produced, just why ...
Because the Rane One exists. Rane and Numark are both owned by inMusic, so they aren't going to compete against each other. The Rane One is what an NS7IV would have been, minus the 2 extra channels.
Belt drive has plenty of torque for 7” platters. We’ve been getting down on portable belt drive tables for years now. It’s a bit touchy for blends- but software helps fill the gaps
If you look at how much money other companies want for controllers with moving platters, then Hercules just ate all the other manufacturers of DJ controllers. But Pioneer in particular is now mostly out of the game anyway. They sell their products as if they were all designer pieces. As well as selling designer t-shirts for £500+ (or Euro, Dollar or whatever)
Pioneer do so because they know people will buy. A lot of old and new DJs are trapped into the ‘club standard’ mindset so will always favour Pioneer over everything regardless of the price. I agree that Hercules killed it got what they’re offering at this price point in comparison to the competitors.
Infofader minis should plug right in for a direct swap on the faders. Sucks they didn’t come installed from the factory. I absolutely love it on my Stanton STX.
I have been testing one for about a month, and really didn't expect much. I was floored by how user friendly it is, and the upgraded faders do make a huge difference. As someone who regularly uses multiple forms of equipment, I'd recommend this for the price point, stems and weight for any DJs beginning to professional. The only thing I don't like as much is the xfader being so close to the upfaders.. Other than that this is a great controller for the price, especially when compared to the One or the Rev7.
I can see it losing grip and constancy here and there after a while, no matter how strong the torque is... It's a pass for me. Too bad, I had hopes for this one.
I agree with an earlier comment, having the ability to swap in an innofader for scratching would be a plus. Also, belt drive can be ok as long as the belt system itself is of good quality. The numark pt01 is also belt driven and ive had issues with it slipping off. Ive had to customize the unit quite a bit to get it truly scratch worthy. Overall, decent review and the hercules looks promising.
Hercules should take the lead with a similar controller with 10 inch platters. Add some xlr and booth outs, phono in, better faders. Charge more and would still sell well. Before others do, be first to market
I don't know about buying that and then you have to spend a little more money for the upgrade on the custom crossfaders. I just purchased the rane one and I'm happy with it
Nice starter controller but without direct drive platters and quality faders this is going to be passed by me. I'll wait for a direct drive model. Awesome review though 👏🏿

Junk belt drive Where are all these dj’s that want spinning platters I’m not going back I own technics 1200 since 1988 I still have them but after using controllers for years No thanks
This ain't a Gemini belt drive from the 90s. This is a super short belt with a proper motor. It works just as fast and responsive as a direct drive. Have you tied a portable scratch unit like the Stanton STX? Scratching and mixing on small belts actually works.
@@ErickeverRBbelt drive is as bad as saying "Sync button" to a turntable DJ and those faders won't last 5 minutes. It's a shame because at first glance I was really impressed
Felt that. I have a reloop spin 7in belt driven, it's not the greatest but with an upgraded fader it's worth the practice. Direct drive would be much more expensive and not to mention heavier. If they can find a way to replace the faders it may have potential. I agree 100% faders are critical!
@@ErickeverRB it does look epic though. When my prime 2 dies, I'll have a look to see if it's advanced with the faders and durability, then might get one for my weekly gig.

@@DJCokoPopz very little percentage of djs use Hercules. I have had 2 of their controllers and I have no idea what academy you're talking about, let alone going through it
@careem3463 Hercules controllers are very popular amongst beginner DJs. Hence why they are able to make an affordable one with moving platters. Can you use this controller in virtual dj pro
Serato lite
Thought you guys would like to know my T7 survived getting a whole beer spilled on it 😬
Would love to have a go on it but Ill stick with the pro. Plus i love engine DJ 😁
Junk belt drive Where are all these dj’s that want spinning platters I’m not going back I own technics 1200 since 1988 I still have them but after using controllers for years No thanks
The USB power controller has terrible sound. I'm glad it's power, and I hope they use some of that power for their soundcard
Scratching is played out, so I'm not interested in scratching ... but the controls & the factvyou can add to the stems interesting, I'm impressed.
lol..... good to go then.....
great review
great entry level dj product
Shout out to DJ Puffy
Belt drive anything doesn't work for me but other than that it looks good.
This ain't a Gemini belt drive from the 90s. This is a super short belt with a proper motor. It works just as fast and responsive as a direct drive. Have you tied a portable scratch unit like the Stanton STX? Scratching and mixing on small belts actually works.
@@Positive_Tea And it's far better than the small scratch belt driven units.
Hercules has a chance to smoke all the big boys, then they blew it 😂
Why do you say they blew it?
No Rekordbox, no buy.

👀 Numark
For this money you can better go for a pioneer controller
Belts .... concerns
You will not recommend belt drive turntables? Technics 1210 is the best turntable in world and nothing is better 😂😂 but it need skill not just sync button to play on them 😂
Haha real DJs use DAT, not records. Can't bring 1000 records with you on an airplane, can you? Hahaha 🌈
@@robertschnobert9090 omg another who knows jack about djing.. Do some research. You need only 2 vinyls you tool and alot of mp3.. I let you figure out if you know how. 😂😂😂 BTW there is nothing like real dj. I guess you have been a dj for 15 min since you don't know anything about it . 😂😂😂
@@robertschnobert9090 ps. Btw What do you think djs did before? 😂😂😂Learn a bit about it then comeback. Right now you are a noob 😂😂😂
@@robertschnobert9090 real DJs jockey discs. If you aren't jockey ling discs, you're not DJing. Plan and simple.

flimsy and belt driven. it’s a firm no from every angle. can’t see anyone paying what this costs and being happy with it. pointless bit of kit, trying to do too much at a lower price point. reminds me of them numark packages u used to get years ago with 2 belt driven turntables and the bluedog mixer, absolutely pointless
Don’t believe the hype on this thing i got one and it weighs like 10 pnds it’s an extremely delicate unit. Backspin is god awful on it. Was gonna be a back up to my Rev 7 but i would never take this thing out on a gig it’s market is bed room use. My right fx lever was bent right out the box. If it’s cheap it’s too good to be true. Just keeping it real
I got one too done least 6gigs with it no problem
Haha the same comment from you in an other video of this controller 😅
Shit works good with me
Just get a thinner slit mat and this thing spins back for days....
Works fine over here, I love mine to bits
Wrong rev 7
Every time you say "D-Juiced," I cringe. The DJuced software is pronounced "Juiced." The "D" is silent, smh
Bruh the only people who knew that is the Hercules's marketing department lol
@careem3463 lol 🧢... Anyone who has a Hercules controller and went through their DJ academy knows this.
The reason you don't know about the DJ Academy because it's built in DJuced. There's also a DJuced channel on UA-cam with the trainings. I said all that to say just cause you don't know, doesn't mean nobody else did. And I don't work for Hercules' Marketing Dept lol
@@careem3463😂
Belt tho
Absolute Bs!!
Hell no Belt Drive
Belts pop way to easy Really now you're using rubber bands.
give away
To expensive...
@@fux6910 with 1500€ u get original platters sh, not this bs....
Def affordable. Most retailers have payment plans too. I have a Rev7 now “that” was expensive. This cost half of what i make at a wedding. Start charging more at your gigs. 🤷🏻♂️
